I find it a bit strange that Shaan and Sam expect their guests to disclose everything, repeatedly asking guests so how much did you make, yet when it comes to their own projects they don’t disclose sale prices. Double standards or what?!
Whe don’t expect guests to tell us everything. In fact, we always tell them ahead of time if they ask a question they don’t wanna answer, just say they don’t wanna answer and we will love on.
What double standard? They are never angry or upset when the guest doesn't want to disclose something. There is no harm in asking anything. Why shouldn't they ask people how much they make? It's like leaving money on the table, maybe they were willing to tell you.
Kinda reminds me of Casey Niestat journey with promoting his app with his daily blogs. You created milkroad and pumped it up with this platform, podcasting, and Twitter.
One of the absolute best episodes EVER! Hearing the raw stories of how they built these million dollar business is invaluable and incredibly inspiring!
Enjoyed both episodes today. Still trying to get used to whose face goes to which voice. Was listening to MFM for over a year before seeing a video. As a former radio announcer, I know how people have a picture in their mind of the person behind the voice. I was way off with both of you!
Nice video!! Very engaging from beginning to end. Nevertheless, businesses and investment are the easiest way to make money. When it comes to the world of investing, most people don't know where to start.fortunately, great investors of the past and present can provide us with guidance
@marcia4948 Dr.Lauren is a certified brøker, I have wórked with her for a couple of months in States and apparently I fell in love with trading because of her,
I thought you sold because I put an eyeroll in the comments about this whole thing being a flopped newsletter. What is the MilkRoad? I have been there and not sure why it would have customers
Been a long time follower of pod but it was disappointing to say the least how numbers were brushed aside . This when guests are on these guys will be pestering them to share numbers. So it's only fair that you do once you have done it. They are like those nosy Indian aunties who wants to know how much their neighbour makes.
So I’m guessing these guys will use their affiliate marketing skills and CEO skills to really monetise mill road through affiliate links etc???? Wish the went into this info
Milk road was sold because FTX was a major sponsor to the website and the newsletter, and these guys now need to cover their butts. The website, the newsletter, and the MFM podcast are responsible for people losing thousands of dollars because they decided to use FTX as their cryptocurrency trading platform. This video should be an apology to those who follow and trust Shaan, not a celebration of his exit.
1. Any proof or is this just wild speculation of why he sold it... ok don't answer that. We all know it's wild speculation. 2. An apology from hundreds of organizations been paid to advertise for a company everyone thought was legit won't get your money back.
Dont buy shaan's story of why he selled. Also true character reveal moment when shaan coincides he knew they had a gambling non compete but didn't inform them milkroad had a gambling component.
Venture capitalist here. He sold the newsletter bc they offered him a bunch of money. Plain and simple. There isn’t a chance to really scale up a newsletter (unlike say an enterprise software startup with huge total addressable market)
@@samparr9899 I'm genuinely curious, would you still want to start a newsletter in todays time that is fully reliant on the sponsorships? Also, if you were to do it over again would you hire a sales team for getting sponsors or outsource that part? Thanks!

well it's great to just ask in case they want to disclose. not like they're bullying them to answer

Yah it’s bs man. They always do that .
These guys are great! I just bought a Samsung TV and I don't even know why.
Disappointed the Samsung logo never hit the corners of the monitor.
Such a treat this week, especially back to back after watching the University of Michigan pitches.
My take away from this episode is that "How to rank your website on Google is the important skills and I have to learn it"
Right lol what a useless episode
Alternative version??? We want the OG upload! 😮😂😊
Watched 'Samsung' moving the whole pod😅 Great stories!

Milk Road posts down for me today: 500 Error Code: Oops, something went wrong on our end. We're working to get this error resolved.

@Marina Lynne I hope you don't mind sharing any means of reaching out to her easily,I am really interested I believe this is genuine
what's her name so I can look for it online?

I Appreciated the intro! It’s the prelude we need l!

Really enjoyed the episode, only note is the lights behind Shaan are distracting

| Very cool. What a great, transparent look behind the scenes. Shaan, you're giddy man. Well-deserved.

They didn't like the comments
I thought the original version was longer as well

Samsung getting some free advertisement! 😂
People want to know: HOW MUCH!?
My guess is $10M which is the lowest number that allows Shaan & Ben to say they exited for “8-figures”…
easy $20 mill exit
It was $300k
My guess is 20M based on his ARR

They don't have videos because they are actually doing it.
I tried no luck lol
Great episode, probably one of the best so far
I literally get asked all the time about my wifes new Kia K5 lol
