So I tried out the E-M5 III and I'm positively surprised. Also the warm underwear you recommended in your other video was pretty nice. While I'm not too much into animal butthole photography with ultra long tele lenses I think the EM5 will replace my "compact" full frame travel/hiking setup.
You can tell OM System you converted someone to their system. Maybe you'll get a raise?
I used to use mukluks. Now that I don't live in the north and cold weather, I no longer have any. The military styles are the best.
some of the things that most people may not think about when you are out with a camera, it may capture something you would miss or have missed.
I have thought about a pair of real fur mukluks, nothing is warmer!

Great tips. Somewhere along that stream, 62 years ago, a couple of teenagers had unprotected sex. As a result, I have to drag my ass out of bed every morning. I haven't been there in many years. Might be time to go back. 🤠Cool video.

For cold weather do you have any thoughts/experiences on Alpaca Socks versus Merino wool socks ?
Dirk - I have never tested Alpaca socks. I will be honest, I am very texture and "feel" sensitive when it comes to socks, shirts, and pants! I will be in Peru after Yellowstone and will buy some Alpaca socks to test!
If you shoot in cold weather with gloves, note that you can't use the OM-1's front dial with gloves.
Note the fingerless gloves. Maybe OM-1 should give away fingerless gloves or redesign the front dial.
Or maybe OMD gives gloves to its salespeople.
Not the only problem I have after buying this camera. I pay retail for my gear.
Well, I have been shooting last week at -37F here in Yellowstone with liners and a shell over that with no problem. I use both my OM-1's regularly with gloves in quite frigid conditions so not sure why you are having trouble. I would say is the front dial sticking? Maybe send it in? I have never had any issues with gloves of any kind and I have two OM-1's. My E-M1 Mark II is relegated to the underwater housing only.
