I am a 73 year old widow who grew up on rock and roll. Went into major depression after husbands death. Found Joe’s version of “Midnight Blues”. From then on my go to music is anything by him and his wonderful guitar . Strange how the Blues got me out of the blues! Love his playing!! Thanks for videos
Only two years too late... I just want to add, there are two peep who unequivocally top my "Suicide Prevention Playlist" - Carlos Santana and Anoushka Shankar. Music has been up there with oxygen and water on my necessities list. This is way fine, there's gems all OVER if you keep open. I mean, I love Mahavishnu, and I love Bananarama. And every summer, JOHN MAYER does this amazing Dead Jerry-morph = go figure!
I think it is awesome when a top notch recording artist is willing and able to play a small venue like this and not feel that it is beneath him. It keeps them connected with the street.
missmoke007 thanks for this info. (If Joe nowadays plays here in Germany with his band, you have to pay about 80€; in the 'good old days', he gave concerts fo 26 - 30€)
carlolf Oh I know, his concerts here are now $100-$150 a ticket, but because he lives here when he is off tour, he sometimes joins in with others who are playing gigs around town.
The greatest blues rock guitarist the whole world from one corner to the other will ever know and could ever hear. When you listen to this boy you hear the real thing. And none can master his style. Many are trying to as you read this comment, but his licks are endless, the baddest blues rock licks that have ever left the hand of any human on earth are the ones JOE THE MAN blister the blues with on his Les Paul. Boy have we ever been blessed with a legend in our generation. JOE THE MAN.
Saw this for the first time months ago & just randomly thought of that note he holds for 12 bars and how extremely badass that was, so i came back for another view. smokin joe
Joe baby, you must live on a glory cloud being so amazingly great with the way you can blister the blues into the soul of another human being. Joe, you are THE MAN baby, there is no other on living earth that will ever fill your shoes. You are the ultimate euphoria in the music world. Boy Joe, I have to meet you personally someday. I just have to. I want to be able to say that my hands have touched the hands of blues master Joe Bonamassa. Joe, none will ever surpass you with the blues.
Oh to have been there. Joe at his very best. A great commemoration to BB. Love you, Joe, and missmoke007 and everyone else who makes my old age (84) not just bearable but wonderful. :Love to all, Babala
barbara Massey Hi Barbara, you're so cool! I just put up some new stuff from Joe playing with Rock Candy Funk Party last weekend~Go to my channel~they are up and running now :)
Here I am - 4 years later - your upload got me through some shitty times in 2012. Then I forgot about this upload. Somehow fate has brought me back in happier times. Thank you uploader....
My main man Joe Bonamassa. Ain't nobody like him, I knew I just knew it! that he would play the best version of a BB king song, he's got BB"s ears and rhythm man, even the band is just right
Sweet! Reminds me of an afternoon I spent at the WC Handy Club off Beale St in 63 watching BB , Bobby Bland and Little Junior Parker rehearse for the night session. Stone Cold Cool! Aint nothin like the the low down rotten no account blues! Cleanse the soul.
So True Richard~for anyone who has not been to a Bonamassa Concert~GO!!! He is a fantastic performer!!! What a show he puts on and it's all talent~no pyrotechnics, choreographed dancers~Just true musicianship!!
Saw him on youtiube doing Royal Albert hall, thought boring blues player.Nothing like it.He plays his own new blues stuff, not always the usual, superb set,who attended there got their moneys worth.Got to go to one of his shows.
Somehow luck seems to fall short. It feels more like dogged determination on your part, missmoke007, to be present at so many fabulous shows at so many great venues
So much feeling in the music. One of my favorite B.B.King tunes. It’s still very sad that the master is no longer with us. I remember watching him as a child. Just loved the emotion of his playing. Joe has that. It can’t be taught. You have it or you don’t. 😎
Joe Bonamassa is the Real Deal this guy has beautiful tone and plays the blues so sweet he just melts my heart Don't-Stop-Joe you're killin me here...don't stop
this man is actually my guitar hero now hearing him play this true blues classic like this, its just filed up that little bit of respect for him, would love to see him play some old blues live, new albums incredible too btw!
saw Joe in seattle randomly at Bumbershoot sitting in a beer garden at sunset.... everyone stopped talking and drinking when Joe hit his first note! WOW! Ran right out and bought his double live CD! Let me say it again: WOW!!!
The first time I saw Joe, I was 14 y/o and he was opening for B.B. in Seattle at Hot August Nights and he not only opened for The King but he came out and played this song with The King. I am now 28 y/o and have see both of them many times, but that moment I will never forget. There is not one guitarist who can come even close to the talent JB has. Cant wait to see him grow further in his career.... This is just outstanding!
Bonamassa , Hands off , is a Class of its Own . a ABSOLUTE Brilliant Guitar Player , and one of the youngest living Legends ever ! I really Like his Sound and Feel ...Genius .
Thank you Missmoke for bringing it to my attention again. Wonderful. My favourite blues song by my favourite blues musician, Joe Bonamassa. Most significant now that our BB has passed into blues heaven. Thanks, Babala
I thought the same thing! He is so awesome and can pick such great riffs, straighten his glasses and go right back into another fabulous run. Too cool and only Joe could pull it off!
Love it all! He did some big arena dates around here in central NY, but sadly I have not yet seen him live. Joe is from the area here and only saw him early on when he was a child novelty... someday.....
Any Joe is great Joe... keep it up!! Sadly can't even get a reply from the local radio station as to why they won't play any.... politics ... even in the music biz... what a loss for the public here that watched him grow up!
Man I wish this club had existed back in the 70-80's when I lived in Sherman Oaks. Great shows. Recognized the décor from watching Jeff Kollman and Cosmosquad. Nice version of a BB king great

My favourite is BB with Tracy Chapman
I think it is awesome when a top notch recording artist is willing and able to play a small venue like this and not feel that it is beneath him. It keeps them connected with the street.
yeah! And I'm wondering how much you have to pay when Joe's doin' gigs in those small clubs?
carlolf
It cost about $25 plus two drinks :)

When he is off tour at home in LA, he will sometimes sit in with friends or play with RCFP at these small venues.
ABSOLUTELY AWESOME...I laughed,I cried, I felt in in my soul ~

The greatest thing about Joe is that there are no limits, no boundries to his blues talent. I rate him the best all rounder ever.

2020 looking to Joe B. for solace in these hard times. Loving these blues in such a small venue.
Hey, don’t forget about this video
This is really a wonderful vision and performance of the grate blues song written by West coast blues musician Roy Hawkins and Rick Darnell in 1951.
My main man Joe Bonamassa. Ain't nobody like him, I knew I just knew it! that he would play the best version of a BB king song, he's got BB"s ears and rhythm man, even the band is just right
47 seconds into it and already in love.
He's shows are mind-blowingly good!!!

One of Joe's best versions. Each one is special, but this really got to me!
Sheer blues, nothing but and beyond my greatest expectations. Wow. I never heard a better sound out of a gold top and I've heard a lot of 'em.
It’s not a gold top. Maybe you haven’t heard as many as you think.
Omg..sounds amazing..just one person missing...my beloved Gary Moore..
Amazing is this one thank you so much.woh is super great.
2011 at the Baked Potato. Peak music. Lucky to hear its like again.
