At 35:40 ish, you roll double 3s for Primal Fury, so the Minotaurs would have gained Frenzy and would have had to charge in the following turn after splatting the Doomseeker
Whoever did the Dwarf army was clearly getting nuked by warmachines in 8th because WMs were neutered in TOW and then Dwarf artillery runes got nerfed as well. Dawi should be the foil to running monster characters and putting all your eggs in 1 basket.
Dwarves tend towards the opposite end of the spectrum from "Glass cannon" armies such as DE, but you encounter the same problem; where small changes can make mediocre into overpowered. And finding just the right balance when they haven't had the chance to find the true middle of the spectrum is nearly impossible...
I think with the current format, that's frankly to be expected. The 'Codex Creep' is only going to be accelerated by which army has the best Armies of Infamy from the Arcane Journals- on top of new units, new magical items, etc. Though outside of competitive games, I think TOW has the best framework for WHFB than any previous edition. It could definitely use some tweaks though.
@@ay2deet578 I isist, the dwuarfs ar for me the secondo r third wrost army in the game, there has never been book for them to be among the top5, always one of the wrost, in spain almost no one olays them,
MM doesn't really play competitively, dwarfs are solid if you're playing them competitively and remembering rules etc (Luka forgot a few important ones)
@@manuelmoreno3926 Out of the non-legacy armies, they might not be at the TOP of my list. Ultimately the game is limited without the legacy armies, who are mostly quite bad (comparatively) to the non-legacy armies. I never really consider armies with TOOLS to be competitive. Which, Dwarfs HAVE the tools... with very specific builds. Tons of trollhammer torpedoes, the exploding crossbow, and gyrocopters, amidst other things- are all quite good. But, TOW is a game commanded by monsters and cavalry, and (sometimes) chariots. Armies lacking them are instantly fighting uphill, and Dwarfs have a considerable lack of them. As a consolation, they have what are EASILY the best elite infantry selection in the game, and I think many of their units are pretty on-tier with Black Orcs. If we are ONLY considering Grand Army compositions, Dwarfs definitely aren't in the top three, and might well be in the bottom if they're not taking a cheesy list. I place Warriors of Chaos at the very bottom by a considerable margin, though again; they have the TOOLS to be competitive. Both they and Dwarfs have a couple of good builds, and their Armies of Infamy add some other options to make them more viable, if not again... cheesy. But until this is a game where elite infantry are NOT a hinderance, armies that rely on them are going to be weak. Especially compared to fully-cavalry-capable armies, Dragons, Monster Mash lists, and Undead that come back and never die.
@@ianreiter835 but it is as simple as giving the dwarves something to counteract the monsters and cavalry, I think the hammerers are one of the best infantry units in the game, but due to their movement and profile the other armies have enough tools to not come into contact with them. them and waste all those points so you end up not playing them and I don't agree that their infantry is good, the mmatadores are unplayable
6e terrain was brutal. Dwarves in woods moving 1.5" a turn was insane.
Awwwww Luka, you missed the impact hits on the Doomseeker

great report love your work
Cowards or Cow Herds..?
Today it was cowards😊
Asur -> High Elfs
Druchi -> Dark Elfs
Asrai -> wood Elfs
I'm here for the beef!
Luka doing spirit fingers...
Khazukan Kazakit-ha!
Luka, you get 2+ minos with Blackened Plate, shield and gnarl hide
Longbeards have WS5, same as the Runesmith, they all should have hit on the same roll.
The runesmith may have had runes of striking I believe it is? it allows for +1 weapon skill for each of them on a weapon, allowing up to 3 max.
Who's the new guy?
34:08 Asrai
is there anyone in game whorkshop who hates dwarves to make them a book as bad as always ????

It's wild to comment this considering who won
@@Yurt_enthusiast7 t doesn't matter who wins, I don't know either, I'm just commenting on how the dwarf army is.
Hopefully the old world doesn't become a pay to win scenario. What's the most overpowered army? The last one released? Remember 6th edition?

I don’t think that’s happening so far. The best factions at the moment in a competitive setting are probably the first two that came out.
the dwarfs are very very very bad

@@ianreiter835 It is incredible that the dwarves do not have or have not designed a level 4 anvil or blacksmith, it is not understandable
