Hi. I'm almost going to send off my application and only a few slight adjustments to be made in my personal statement. There is an essay, 'I, pencil' that I mentioned in the statement but I only used 2 lines for it. Should I be worried that I am listing things?
Do you need to include management on your PS if you are applying only to Oxford E&M, and pure econ at eg LSE? Can I make my PS pure econ? Would it jeopardise Oxford application?
Unfortunately yes, you would have to include at least some management in the PS if applying for Oxford. Although, if you got a truly outstanding TSA score/excellent GCSE grades you could probably get away with it. Also, you only have to choose 2 management courses out of a possible 8 at uni, so it could just be you are more interested in economics right now. I would probably advise you have a look at the management topics which have more overlap with economics if you are planning to go this route! Hope that helps :)
Hi, I was really interested in this course but I'm not sure exactly what it entails. Is there a particular website that explains e&m as when looking at specific uni websites they don't include it. Thanks!
economics.web.ox.ac.uk/sites/default/files/economics/documents/media/em_course_handbook_2020-21_ew_access_checked.pdf There is some detailed info in the link above about the course at oxford. However, the courses at each university are slightly different in focus, so some will study concepts more applicable to real-world business and others a bit more theoretical. www.kcl.ac.uk/study/undergraduate/courses/economics-and-management-bsc This course at KCL has a really extensive list of the modules you can choose from in 2nd/3rd year which should give you a decent idea of what to expect. Let me know if you have any specific questions and I will answer them if I can!

Do you think you’ll do a video on like game theory puzzles to help with interviews maybe? And wow you took five alevels!
Absolutely great video!
Could I suggest videos where you could show how to structure and build up engaging paragraphs for an E&M personal statement.
Thanks for the suggestion!
Do you think it’s worth me talking about Management when I’m applying pure economics everywhere else?
I did the same thing in my application year successfully, so yes you can do that!
