Alas, the epic saga of Drizzt Do'Urden and his beloved companions came to an abrupt and fateful end at the hands of a wild mage. Wulfgars barbarian heritage from the tundras beyond the dales and his insurmountable strength were no match for the magical swords and horrid wilting spells. In the end, his inherent revulsion to magic and trickery was well justified. Bruenor, the legendary dwarf king of Mithral Hall, the dragon slayer of Shimmergloom, fell to the slicing blades as he shouted to Moradin for strength and courage. No amount shouting or rage could help him save his companions. Cattie Brie felt the cutting pangs of despair set in as she realized her magical bow was utterly ineffective against the onslaught of the magical steel blades and poisonous clouds. However, nothing could prepare her for the heartbreak she would feel when moments later her dearest companions were cut to ribbons all around her. Even Regis, the most trepidatious of the five noble companions, found himself rapidly outmatched no matter which tree he hid behind, no matter which shadow he melded with. Drizzt watched in deep horror as one by one, each of his beloved companions fell in battle. He'd spent his entire lifetime upon the surface finding precious few friends who could look past his dark skin and see the precepts of nobility etched within his heart, and as each precious friend fell, a part of his heart died with them. Even his encounter with the cold hearted assassin Entreri could not have prepared him for the deep cuts he felt now in his heart. Finally, he was the last companion standing amongst the bloody wreckage of his companions. His lavendar eyes flared in a glimmer of renewed hatred for the wild mage as he fought on, and in a brief moment of what looked like the slimmest chance for victory, the shimmering swords disappeared. He turned his sights towards the wild mage and watched in utter amazement as its skin began to transform. Lumpy protusions of bone moved underneath the mages skin as its body deformed and then reformed into a gigantic hill giant. For a moment, Drizzt felt that he now had the upper hand. He'd dispatched dozens of giants in the dales near Bruenors Cairn. This lumbering giant would be no match for his blinding speed and agility. But before he could act, the giant began casting a spell. Impossible. Since when did giants have the capability to prepare spells? Before Drizzt had finished completing the thought, the giant blinked away in an instant and suddenly Drizzts body was pummeled by simultaneous blows from a massive mace. "So, this is how it ends." was his final thought as the darkness of eternal death descended upon him. The wild mage bent down and looted the corpses, taking only a few coppers for her troubles. A thousand leagues away, Lady Alustriel collapsed in disbelief as her scrying spell showed her the untimely fate of her secret lover. She sat in stunned silence for many hours, with only tears hinting at the turmoil which stirred deep within her heart. Who was this wild mage who would cause such wanton destruction to the noblest of adventurers the forgotten realms had ever had the privilege of knowing? It was a question without an answer. Lady Alustriel was inconsolable for months. The Harkels at Longsaddle noted that this too was the day Lady Alustriel died in heart, and she only lived on as a shade of her former self, forever disheartened by the callousness of evil ever present in the world and the injustices it inflicted.
They did a great job showing how much your power had grown from the low level adventure of BG1; you once stood in awe watching Drizzt effortlessly obliterate Gnolls and should you decide to kill him at that point he certainly won't go down easy unless you somehow outsmart/outnumber him. By the time of BG2 you're Drizzt's equal to the point he cannot challenge you on his own anymore. You're every bit the legend he is.
I don't use illusion spells like Project Image because they trivialize the content. It's insane that it doesn't consume the spells / scrolls of the mage.
Cool tactic! If you polymorph to a sword spider it will do 2 damage / round for every single bite. If you hit him 5 times/round for 2 rounds you get 5x2x2=20 damage/round, plus no spell casting capability. If you add improved haste, you get 40 damage/round. If in Time Stop you get 3 rounds. If you put Web and if it works you will also get guarranteed hits, plus spiders are immuned to Web. I used Nalia with Mislead + Polymorph - Sword Spider to defeat the mind flayers. Also Polymorph - Mustard Jelly gives you 100% magic resistance, which is useful against a group of beholders, mages, and liches.
I like the Video becouse its not powerfull character. Only 16 level?! Well this is something. I like tactic and using all the spells, even shapeshift. If not the scrols you would be dead, but yeah, well done!
probably yeah, but its lvl 16 character only. in underdark you have 1 dragonbreath scroll only if i remember correctly, so lvl 16 mage cannot remember even 1 9 lvl spell for himself in the spellbook.
which made BG easy as f. bcs of insane magic. in ToB you can solo game with any mage you have in party. imoen even. solo draconis, abazigal and melisana, wth
Do-yeon Kim No. Lower resistance would make allow the level 8 wilting spell to work on Drizzt. Maybe even a couple lower resistance + a greater malison in the trigger would work.
Do-yeon Kim If I know it right , all Drows ( including Drizzt ) have high magic resistance , bad saving throws . So malison would be kinda pointless on him .
I've had a fun time soloing the entire enhanced edition with a wild mage - haven't had to reload it very often either, except for the last few Baahlspawn (and of course Demigorgan). The strategic possibilities are endless... I've been playing this game for many years and am still figuring out new cool stuff.
They are pretty easy to beat when you are at a comparable level. Fighting drizzt in BG1 is a lot more fun. I tried using haste and exploding arrows, but eventually just had to be cheap and summon a hoard of skeletons while he was friendly, then run away and take advantage of the bad scripting (he goes after you not the skeletons).
"My character called Neera, because I am her big fan after played Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition, so she's the same as then in BG1:EE" It seems out of character of Neera to just murder the pretty well known hero Drizzt.
Mages in BG are way too OP, mainly because the enemy AI is very limited so you can just abuse them with waves of pets, knowing that they are only going to attack them & not the caster. If it was a PvP game then I can see things like the wizard hunting paladin fully geared with mag% defence & the holy avenger just ploughing through mages like they were grass.
Can you keep the items taken from their corpses? Because I remember killing them ( and other characters ) in Bodhi's Lair. When I would get out of there, a character would take all my Drizzt loot. The only way I could keep them was to save my character with the items in his inventory before exiting the dungeon and start a new game with him.
maybe try selling them to a vendor but keeping wulfgars useless hammer, and then after the wizard comes to take away the waepons u go to vendor and buy them back?
The only reason you were able to defeat them is because the AI for the enemies is awful. IT makes no sense to fight a mage's summons and ignore the mage. If they'd all go after you directly you would never survive, in no way dissing you of course just the game :P
Valosar Aria Yes, but the enhanced AI currently existing powers not only smart enemies, but also the weakest ones. Still, there are people who can solo them anyway ;-)
+Valosar Aria Dude if i was fighting a mage in real life and he fuckin summoned like a huge spider i would fight the spider because its the real immediate threat, and if i ran from it and to the mage, i would expose my back to it, and if it attacks during my sprint towards the mage, it would probably rek me.
Do-yeon Kim 1- ownage? he could have used the "time stop" way earlier than that 2- and even if he would have used it ealier it wasnt ownage. he should be able to use magics to kill drizzt without using "time"stop"
Huh? This is like the weakest end game mage I've seen. pointlessly overcomplicated tactic. If you'd just stuck your 1st tier spells with magic shot, the video would have 1/4 of the length.

At sunny day at peacfull glade
Meet Drizzt Bhaalspawn
Sorrow
I knew RA Salvatore was a fan of Baldurs Gate!
Hahaha brilliant 😄
and then they were resurrected
this is brilliant! gj!
I fucking love it when mages casts spells with words.. And in BG it just sounds EPIC... Manus... potentis... porum!
vita mortis caree
Incantus... Pulcher... Imperium... Sounds so epic!
Pressi.... Aleo... Ferro... (or something), being pronounced with female voice is epic

I came for the mouse clicks, those sounds so satisfying for some reason tbh

Normal mage, cast stop time, 3x Dragon breath and gg. No need to waste ur time.
probably yeah, but its lvl 16 character only. in underdark you have 1 dragonbreath scroll only if i remember correctly, so lvl 16 mage cannot remember even 1 9 lvl spell for himself in the spellbook.
I wish the spell casting was just as awesome in dragon age, you had so many more options in bg2
which made BG easy as f. bcs of insane magic. in ToB you can solo game with any mage you have in party. imoen even. solo draconis, abazigal and melisana, wth
Using a spell trigger of 3 lower resistance would make this fight a lot less time consuming
greater malison u meant?
Do-yeon Kim No. Lower resistance would make allow the level 8 wilting spell to work on Drizzt. Maybe even a couple lower resistance + a greater malison in the trigger would work.
Do-yeon Kim If I know it right , all Drows ( including Drizzt ) have high magic resistance , bad saving throws . So malison would be kinda pointless on him .
that was brilliant. love to see more solo wizard vids. it seemed that BG1&2 were heavily stacked against solo wizards
Проблема соло магов в том, что некому таскать вещи😂 а их очень много и они очень тяжёлые хомяк и жаба не дадут просто так уйти❤
I will krush !
awesome, its interesting to see that you did not use lower magic resistance spell as i expected
+krua He should've, and then blast dem magic missles :D
I've had a fun time soloing the entire enhanced edition with a wild mage - haven't had to reload it very often either, except for the last few Baahlspawn (and of course Demigorgan). По идее тут закидывать паутиной смертоносными облаками да накидывать обычными метеорами цель будет повержена😊
your very good! Great video! You inspired me to do a solo run!
He got chunked he wont be coming back after that one any time soon.
Shit, this amount of spells! Them effects!
I never played Baldurs Gate, only this "WIld Mage" class looks so awesome?
you should play it

Why you don't use lower resistance?
I should really try solo mage BG series again.
Wild Mage ftw :)
Gj
@Dasieqbb Hey brother, nice video- What program did you use to record this??
"My character called Neera, because I am her big fan after played Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition, so she's the same as then in BG1:EE" It seems out of character of Neera to just murder the pretty well known hero Drizzt.
+Teirdalin Shadowfall Drizzt scared her up pretty good, probably? I dunno, might fit.
+Teirdalin Shadowfall She has a pretty lengthy wild surge, obviously. Kinda like a short period.
She just wanna bless them and then it's get complicated.
shes just a crazy person who like to mug gnomes for easy cash, cmon

Looks like a clusterfuck of combat

dandini0698
No because you get your stuff taken away just as you exit the dungeon, you can't interact with anyone.
MyHeadAsplodes idk about bodhi, but after where he kills them there is definately time to go sell to vendor. I remember because i always did that, :)
GG
I heard that if you pick up his loot, some unkillable character appears later on and takes it back?
Yep
there is a way to get rid of him tho
Me vs drizzt in a duel: @
why are you doing this
thats strange I dont see wild mage as an option in character creator hmmm was this a mod?
Enhanced edition

Valosar Aria "Oh no! The mage is summoning swords which are immune to normal damage! I better attack the swords while the mage summons more!"
+Valosar Aria Dude if i was fighting a mage in real life and he fuckin summoned like a huge spider i would fight the spider because its the real immediate threat, and if i ran from it and to the mage, i would expose my back to it, and if it attacks during my sprint towards the mage, it would probably rek me.
lamburger3 That's actually a very valid point.
total ownage i liked it
Do-yeon Kim 1- ownage? he could have used the "time stop" way earlier than that 2- and even if he would have used it ealier it wasnt ownage. he should be able to use magics to kill drizzt without using "time"stop"
@@bigcrusher5521 twas fun tactic to use, like shaping into ogre, wtf :D made me laugh ;P
nice gameplay but that keyboard and mouse noice really annoyed me :-/
Huh? This is like the weakest end game mage I've seen. pointlessly overcomplicated tactic. If you'd just stuck your 1st tier spells with magic shot, the video would have 1/4 of the length.
