Thanks for being so inspiring Sara! During the whole quarantine I've been working my ass off to learn graphic design with the goal to make things for print on demand as a side income. I love seeing these videos because they keep lighting a fire under my ass to keep at it. You climb a Mountain one step at a time right!
Hmmm... yeah agree, while I too love dogs, I am not so keen on the 'Corgi-Butt-Leggings?' however as you point out they are a hugely popular with that niche so pays to always look at products like these with an open/business mind? I love the face masks they are really good idea, universal, easy to use, great way to put a fun spin on what is a really horrible time for many in this COVID19 world we are in. Cheers Sarah ;)
The mug. I think it will never go away and you can have some fun with the prints you put on it. Plus there's no size issues that may occur with clothes.
After months of Hesitation ive decided to set up my online store today. If it ever becomes a succes i want you to know that this channel and your videos was the main reason for it. Wish me luck
Funny story: Once I was in China doing tourism in Beijing and it started raining out of nowhere and my party needed one more umbrella (because apparently we don’t know how to count 😆) and a man appeared in a motorcycle selling umbrellas like if he had manifested right then and there. Sold us an umbrella and disappeared as fast as he appeared. 😹😹😹
Great list of ideas! It's always best to think outside the box and look at places nobody is looking at, no matter what e-commerce business you are pursuing - EVEN if the demand may seem lower. In this way, you can set higher prices because you are selling something unique, and you will have way less competition 😀
If you have an elaborate design, make sure you buy samples before selling anything. I've had a few issues with print quality of some of my designs (especially on kids shirts/hoodies).
As always Sarah, straight to the point, no BS, with smart & savvy advice. So glad I found your channel late last year! Already using Bella tees for my designs ... phew! Defo ‘like’ ! 👍🏻
I find your videos refreshingly honest, life has taught me that many people think bringing someone down helps them up. You on the other hand are obviously hard working and deserve everything you have. You are trying to help others succeed the world needs more people like you!
Once more (and as always) a source of great information and inspiration for any online entrepreneur (especially another POD'er and Printful customer!) Cheers, Sarah.
Thanks for the live chat tonight. It was interesting, as always. I set up a Redbubble store a couple months ago and am researching popular designs and uploading my creations when I can. Just finished watching all your videos yesterday and have started watching some other videos about Redbubble sales. Figure that's all part of my research process! Thanks again for making these videos for us!
Took my first step. Posted an item on ebay for the first time. A bit overwhelming at times getting it set up but it's done. I used some grit. Thank you.
Hello, I remember your first video and you had only a few hundred followers. We even got started with FBA using your techniques from the E-book you were offering. WOW, have you grown to a MEGAPRENEUR! Keep up the hard work and we wish you the best.
I completely agree with you on the masks and Neck Gaiter. I am in an area were face coverings are mandated. My family has never had a problem with wearing them and from day one, I got us all custom made ones with fabric that suites our individuality. Why not? You protect others and express yourself! We have to wear them, might as well have fun with it.
Hey Sarah, I am just about to design for Q4 and this is the best video that I came across!!.. Thank you so much for being such a selfless and genuine Person!!!.. Really appreciate.. Hope to make my first sale as soon as possible!!.. IF you have any video on products for Christmas then please do let me know.. That would be of great help!!...Thanks once again
Hi hi, What Photoshop version do you have? When I change color mode to CMYK I no longer can save it in PNG file format because this option is gone for CMYK, any tips? PNG only avaliable for RGB color mode. I have CC 2014. I'm confused. thx
Haha @2:57 that's definitely a time lapse video of The Eaton Centre shopping mall in downtown Toronto. Went there daily on lunch breaks. Btw, hi Sarah, great videos! Probably the best I've come across online.
I can't stop thinking that he "hidden" product that's second from the right at the bottom looks like a tongue 😅Anyhow, another super helpful video to save for the ages! There are so many (subtle) ways to be creative and profitable with print on demand--I love it! P.S. Sarah, I took your advice regarding changing my Facebook page since my ads had been flagged for "MLM" for no apparent reason, and it WORKED! Thank you!
Thank you for the great content Sarah. I've started my POD venture a week ago and all your videos have been great in guiding me. Cheers, from a fellow kiwi.

Thank you for ALL your videos! I never miss them, here in El Salvador! thank you for your help and all the ideas. I recently open my online store and I am very optimistic it will work, again thank you!
Thank you, Sarah, for the effort that you put in your videos. They are full of hints, information, and direct explanations on how all those marketplaces and online services could work for me as a new online entrepreneur. I specially appreciate info about the sites where I can research for niches, demographics, and copyright. You even walk me through them, awesome! I do not agree with your critics about sponsorship like how in the world could you explain how the sites work without mentioning them and have an opinion about your experience? Thank you so much.
The neck gaiter is made of polyester, and studies show that its worse to wear those than nothing at all! It's because the fibers are let the droplets pass, and even worse they split them in multiple ones, that's why it's worse!

You definitely got me convinced on getting started..Thank you for all the useful information Now, Quick question tho, on the posters , is it ok to buy pictures on places like shutterstock and attach\create the product ?
Hi Sarah, the geometric design of the bag at 17:30 is actually a dupe of Issey Miyake Bao Bao bag. This design has been copied endlessly and Issey Miyake filed some lawsuits against that before.
That's good to know! They didn't have to copy a copyrighted design to make a bag themed after Spaceship Earth 🙏 so I wouldn't recommend anyone do that at all 😬
Im bingewatching your videos ! I wonder once the order is done, do these printing websites create special taglabels? Like, its possible to do branding ?
It is possible for some products, for example Printful offers this feature for a limited number of shirts, but it's expensive & prone to printing errors & it has no impact on return customers/brand loyalty so it's not something I recommend, but each to their own 🌞 I just keep the Bella+Canvas labels on my shirts.
@@WholesaleTed Ah ok! Its just sad a bit, that no one will knows somehow if the design is belonging to XY, but I guess, in the end it doesn't matter, since costumers can still find where the design was coming from, and the copyright goes to that source too . If its really expensive, I dont mind it.
So dear, on all this print on demand you can use the same design for almos everything, like on red bubble same design for t-shirt or face mask. So what do you suggest? Should i select all the products to have a more wide sales opportunity?
No thank you! You're such an inspiration for those who wants to start their own business and for those who wants a passive income. So Thank you for free knowledge!
17:41 - Maybe they didn't violate any trademark or copyright laws with that fanny pack, but wouldn't they need a property release to use EPCOT Center in their ad? YES! Does Disney aggressively go after people? YES!
Hi Sarah, thanks for reminding to like video as I always get so much involved in your content that I forget to not just click like button on your video but to also forget putting in dinner order for my 🤪🤗
Can you make a video on how to best organize all the files that are created in a POD business? Like a workflow? I have created maybe 40-50 designs, and maybe it's just me, but getting quite disorganized with the original file, the mockups, and other files. I know we can figure it out, but you probably have a better system, would you share? thanks for all you do...
I highly recommend you look into marketing on Pinterest. The kind of people that hang around on Pinterest are, mostly, highly educated women earning $75K+ a year who are using the platform as a way to find new products to buy. You don't have to do paid advertising, as it's very difficult to achieve decent results for free. Yes, it takes some time to build, but it's very scalable. Have a look on TH-cam, as there are many videos explaining how to use Pinterest to drive free traffic. That's what I'm going to use now, as I'm starting a few POD stores. Hope you'll find it helpful!
Printful is great but Zazzle must have the widest range of items if you want to do something a little different. I've had small successes with guitar cases and skateboards. I think the cost of a print on demand guitar case is a little offputting for some. But as you say with a great design people will pay.
The facts are that if you have a tile floor in your kitchen you will CONSTANTLY be buying new drinkware as, for one reason or another, the old drinkware hits the floor and smashes into a bazillion pieces and you must replace it. And you can take that to the bank. ;-)
YAY!! Sarah, thank you! Your videos are an inspiration and helping me to make a change in my working life, best channel for online marketing/business on the Tube, thanks so much!
Loved the video, thank you for the information! It's very helpful! (The fanny pack is actually a knock off of designer Bao Bao Issey Miyake's work, the knock offs are everywhere)
I would not have guessed the final entry. Not at all interested in doing that product. 😝 I will be researching some of the other products to see if I can add them to my store. Sarah, I'd love a video on what you think of free shipping. Is it a good strategy? Do people really abandon their carts if they don't get free shipping?
I think it is definitely worth testing. I have had mixed results. For example, free shipping had no impact on this store (so I removed it) th-cam.com/video/tiDBTqkeElY/w-d-xo.html but it has improved conversions on others. The best thing to do is to test it and see if it improves your conversions enough to be worth it! Different niches have different customers.
Hey Sarah love the videos! New to POD here... I'm sure you've talked about it before, and even mention the subject in this video but I'm still looking for more info; is there a rule you go by when thinking about how many different kinds of products to post with the same general design?
Hi Sarah, I love your personality. Just wanted to know your opinion in the difference between redbubble and printful? Do you use printful because gives you more control thru your own website and redbubble would be just an entry level platform?
Hello Sarah, I just found you, how smart and knowledgeable are you. Your videos are concise, to the point and you are a natural for medium. I will continue to follow you, Fernando
@@Withnail1969 Exactly! Those people, who prefer to stay in their 9-5 safe zone even though they are unhappy or dare I say it, miserable. They lack imagination and drive, the "t-shirt printing business" is just a small portion of the Print On Demand model. If it were easy, everyone would be doing it.
Thanks again Sarah for your valuable contents. One of your former videos you said "Don't put too many colors and sizes on your stores for not to look scammy." I have a t-shirt and a hoodie which has 25 or 17 different colors and 9 sizes. How many colors and sizes should I put to my store not be seen scammy? Is it better to split them into half at least, like 12 or 8 colors and 4 or 5 sizes? Thanks.
You have to apply logic to the situation. If you want to charge higher prices, you have to treat yourself like a premium brand, that cares about the image you give off. You have 25/17 colors, but usually, only 5ish will look the best. If you were a premium brand, you would rather present the best colors, than just all of the colors, to protect the integrity, of your brand. So if you come in and offer 25 colors, it looks like you don't care at all about your brand, and if you don't care, others won't care either. There is no exact formula here. So if you want to apply an arbitrary number to it, choose 5. Amazon used to limit the number of colors you could pick to 5, and then they stretched it to 10 due to popular demand. But most people just buy the 4 most popular colors anyway (Black/Grey/White/Navy). So they probably find it frustrating that sellers demanded more colors, but most people just assume more is better, without thinking about why. So pick your 5 best colors. When it comes to sizes, more is better. There is nothing wrong with offering as many sizes as possible 🌞
The fanny pack and the yoga pants were a bit surprising. Because I did not even thinking about being able to customize a fanny pack and well women's clothing are a mix bag :D
Thank you very much for this wonderful video. I have been following you for a while and learn from your videos. I have a question if you please What do you think of opening an online store specialized in selling face mask ??
Thank you Sarah - soooo much gold here as always!! ♥ I have a question I'd love to hear your thoughts on: What do you think is the optimal way to display your t-shirt photos in your store for better conversions? As in, should T-shirt photos be - garment-only / flat-lay with props / studio model / lifestyle model / other? Thank you for all your amazing insights!!
Hey Sarah great video as always! I’m looking to create a POD store for clothing and accessories and was wondering which website you’d recommend starting with? Thanks 😄😄
Does Redbubble, Printful, and Printify give you the option to design your own T-Shirts? outside of their website? I know stupid question. I'm thinking of using a graphic designer to help me with designs.
Hey, Sarah thanks for sharing those numbers about the "mug world" with us. I use Printful and Woocommerce but can't find a way to let customers customize her/his mug. Any advice?
I've seen your other videos about not doing items which are copyrighted but wondered do country flags or city skylines etc count as branded? If I make a fanny pack with the US flag on, can I get into trouble for example?
Awsome video. So question about the Disney Epcot Fanny pack. Isn’t this copyright issue? Can you just use the name of Disney or any other brand to sell your product on print on demand?
Thanks a lot Sarah could make a video for non-supported stripe/ shopify payment countries on how to get them? Please :( .. I'm dropshipping to LATAM where I'm living now but the shipping times are crazy expensive for 2 weeks shipping plus the customs are terrible and delay even more the packages
Why are you dropshipping to LATAM countries when, thanks to internationally based supply warehouses, you can choose to dropship anywhere in the world regardless of where you live? That is your biggest problem right there 🤷 do I target New Zealand/AUS just because I live here? No. I target the USA because it literally doesn't matter whether I live there or not. There are ways to get approved to Stripe if you live outside a Stripe supported country but it involves setting up a company in the USA, which costs a couple of hundred dollars. Otherwise, I recommend sticking with PayPal 🌞
@@WholesaleTed how do I collect the money from other countries? the payment processor that I'm using right now only works for the country I live in right now (chile)
What's the best way to use different print on demand apps -like printful, gooten, and printify- for specific items on your Shopify? I'm still in the thought process of what I want, but there are items from each i would like to integrate to a store but I'm concerned how it will work together. As well as if customers receive items at different times and think something is lost.

YAY!! Sarah, thank you! Your videos are an inspiration and helping me to make a change in my working life, best channel for online marketing/business on the Tube, thanks so much!
No, thank YOU for taking a moment out of your busy day to watch my videos, I really appreciate it 🙏
I love your content! Thank you so much!!! Sending you love and blessings 😊
Keep up the good work, crisps! I have learned so much from these awesome videos.
Loved the video, thank you for the information! It's very helpful!
(The fanny pack is actually a knock off of designer Bao Bao Issey Miyake's work, the knock offs are everywhere)
Someone else mentioned that. Such a shame, because anyone could have come up with their own original one themed on Spaceship Earth. Ugh!
"negative nancies" love it 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@Withnail1969 Exactly! Those people, who prefer to stay in their 9-5 safe zone even though they are unhappy or dare I say it, miserable. They lack imagination and drive, the "t-shirt printing business" is just a small portion of the Print On Demand model. If it were easy, everyone would be doing it.
Another informative and helpful video! Thank you Sarah!!
Another great video. My appreciation of your wisdom grows with each one! Look after yourself and get well soon. :)
Thanks Sarah, keep the uploads coming.
Hi Sarah, face masks are impossible to advertise online due to all the restrictions. Any tips?
Awesome content as usual, thanks Sarah
Was so excited d to see you've uploaded a new vid!!:)
Sarah, what do you think of selling baby clothes on redbubble or etsy? Will the market be too small?
The fanny pack and the yoga pants were a bit surprising. Because I did not even thinking about being able to customize a fanny pack and well women's clothing are a mix bag :D
you are so positive!!!! love it!!!!
Thank you very much for this wonderful video. I have been following you for a while and learn from your videos. I have a question if you please
What do you think of opening an online store specialized in selling face mask ??
Thank you Sarah - soooo much gold here as always!! ♥ I have a question I'd love to hear your thoughts on: What do you think is the optimal way to display your t-shirt photos in your store for better conversions? As in, should T-shirt photos be - garment-only / flat-lay with props / studio model / lifestyle model / other? Thank you for all your amazing insights!!
Ummm just to point out that the random triangle fanny pack is an issey miyake bag design. Would that be ok for us to use it legally?
I'm absolutely a dog lover too, love dogs so much. Nice video,Sara. I just recently watch your videos, you're very informative and pleasant.👍
I'm thinking of using a graphic designer to help me with
designs.
Hey, Sarah thanks for sharing those numbers about the "mug world" with us. I use Printful and Woocommerce but can't find a way to let customers customize her/his mug. Any advice?
That thumbnail is very cheeky Sarah 😆🩲
Oh sure ham it up now.
Love this!!
Thanks for all you do..love your content.
Is it worth using printful in nz for dropshipping? Does nz have good dropshipping company's?
OMG that champion embroided jacket sounds great
Love & appreciate your videos, thank you 🙏
I've seen your other videos about not doing items which are copyrighted but wondered do country flags or city skylines etc count as branded? If I make a fanny pack with the US flag on, can I get into trouble for example?
Awsome video. So question about the Disney Epcot Fanny pack. Isn’t this copyright issue? Can you just use the name of Disney or any other brand to sell your product on print on demand?
Hey this is excellent video! Hope to see more with this info. Thank you!
Thank you Jenn, I am so glad my videos could help you 🙏
Love your videos!
@@WholesaleTed Because of the payment processors. I can't use stripe nor Shopify payments where I live
But that doesn't mean you have to target LATAM customers only 🤷
@@WholesaleTed how do I collect the money from other countries? the payment processor that I'm using right now only works for the country I live in right now (chile)
Use PayPal instead 🌞
What's the best way to use different print on demand apps -like printful, gooten, and printify- for specific items on your Shopify? I'm still in the thought process of what I want, but there are items from each i would like to integrate to a store but I'm concerned how it will work together. As well as if customers receive items at different times and think something is lost.
I'm just starting my POD store on Shopify and I wanted to know what the Pros and Cons on selling on the Spreadshirt website? Thanks!
So weird.. champion used to be (or maybe still is) a cheaper brand sold at Walmart.
