Drove an hr to a customer just to put his machine in neutral to start it....felt bad for the old guy and pushed the travel onto my other jobs that day, didnt charge him....
Hey man! How you been man? Hope you're staying busy on this side of the pond it's somewhat slow rn. Hey I wanted to mention that I just got one of these: Samoa DVP-25 transmission fluid pumps from boss man and this is a life saver especially when the winter comes around again. That 80W90 is stiff asf at -20C this thing should help out a ton. If you ever need one check this one out🤟
That Positive cable running over the negative terminal on the battery is shady. Hopefully there’s no hole under the cables (even if they’re protected, I got bit once). Customer liked slamming the hood. Go figure. That was a good find. 👍🏾
I had to change a starter in a JLG telehandler with a Deutze engine. It is not an easy job because the starter has to come out from the top. I had to remove the turbo (was getting replaced anyways) and disconnect the exhaust pipe. The one starter bolt is a real bastard to get to.
I have had so many call from cust with hydrostatic drive tractors after I’ve worked on them that they don’t move (All of them because I put them in neutral when I worked on them)
So now the question is why did the fuse blow? If you replace the fuse and it does not blow right away that makes for an interesting diagnosis. I guess all you can do is educated the customer of the fuse location in case it blows again and wait for the problem to rear it's ugly head.
@@HCAKA13 That would apply if the fuse was blowing right away. He replaced the fuse and it did not blow again so there is an intermittent short or some component is drawing more amps than it should.
You do not miss, 7 days a week. Nonstop forklifts 🙌🏽🙌🏽

Yeah I would have felt bad as well to charge them for that.
I can't even count how many times the emergency switch has been pushed when I come to check
That main cable touching fiber glass won't cause that fuse to blow. I would suspect those yellow connectors for arching in the starter exciter wire
@@everythingbutkoi6898 I agree 👍🏼
I drove 6 hours round trip to replace the o-ring in an lp tank once. 😂
😂 those are the best. I did that once for a dead battery. Put it to charge and good to go. Never trust the BDI.
😂

I haven’t had to replace one yet, but it did look insanely annoying to replace that’s for sure.

You have to baby some of these customers unfortunately.
👍👍 nice
Thank you!
maybe the starter is intermittenty shorting??
It could be. I wouldn’t rule that out.
There's always another fuse.
Do a truck tour
It’s coming soon 👀

Throw in the biggest fuse you can find and feel with your hand which part starts to warm up
