Yeah it's difficult to leave them behind , but I will have to find a solution for later this year, I will have to take a other trip back to belgium, to sort some stuff out... thanks, I will do so

Sorry to hear that about your rabbits! Rabbits are tricky animals to keep, few years ago, I lost 70 rabbits in a week due to a disease... They have very fragile immune system, anyway good luck with your preparations !

Oh no, it can be devastating losing animals, hopefully there is a chance that you'll find them. We've lost to a pack of dogs before, but we have found animals that have gone missing as well, so don't give up yet.👍
She has been having trouble with her feet before I got her, we treated her and the other sheep for hoofrot.. her nails are very deformed because of bad treatment before I got her.. so now I'm trying to get it back good again, but it will take time

Would it make sense to combine them for safety purposes or is that a logistical nightmare? Glad the veggie garden is starting to provide some output. We're about a month to 6 weeks behind Portugal as far as weather, what are you putting in the ground now as summer growing crops?
Yeah donkeys are great guard animals, but horses, and mules aren't really. If I let my mule with the sheep, she would chase, bit and kick them... but donkeys are indeed better for that, my neighbour does that with their donkey.donkeys.. Yes very happy with the veggies coming! This month, nothing really, next month I might be seeding some more brassicas, some spinach and lettuce maybe, and might seed some grain later in summer, some wheat ,or barley...
As I was listening to your story about the sheep, it ocurred to me, maybe falsely, that now is definitely not the time to be traveling. We are in a big reset or change and the energy is wild out there. Especially in Europe now. I am from the Andes and also have a small homestead off grid place and do not travel, even here. I wondered if you had gone to Belgium for a "matrix" reason - paperwork, system taxes, - in other words, you " had" to go. Maybe we should stop feeling we are subject to that. I no longer renew or replace any paperwork: I don't go anywhere. I did think in 2020 when I made this decision that it would be quicker, but it is what it is as you say!
I feel wath your saying, but no I didn't need to go to Belgium for anything to do with the system. I wanted to go for different reasons, one of which to see my loved ones, and a other reason was me and my mates we got a nice gig with the our reggae sound system, playing with one of the big legends of the music genre, I didn't wanted to miss out on. I already had this planned 6 months ago , to go there.
Even though it's not her fault, I'm sure she's not feeling very happy with what happened. Those type of things normally happen in the early hours, so it's not easy to do anything about it.
I'm only blaming myself for leaving, I don't blame anyone else. Things like this just happen.. it's just a hard setback, just on the point of reaping the benefits of keeping sheep, and now this happened.. but hey , I just get on with it.. happy to be back anyway

Yes possible, but foxes attach lambs around here to, and roaming dogs also, there's quite a few around known for killing sheep
