Ichiro Suzuki is without a doubt the GOAT of the outfield. Only problem is that his glove style is a bit outdated. I can explain the pros of wearing your glove shifted AKA two in the pinky. But I have to admit that the Ichiro glove from Mizuno is INCREDIBLE - กีฬา

Ichiro said it in the interview in the Japanese show that never mess up your balance. Meaning always play the style that matches you the best. So have the bat that matches you, and have a glove that matches you the best. So if Mizuno glove doesn't matches you, don't use it. Use other brand. Ichiro is special, talented, and genius. It just his philosophy or ideology is very very difficult to understand. So a lot of OB tells everybody to not to copy Ichiro because it just too damn hard.

Had a ichiro in high school, obviously it was not the a51. It was 2003, 2004. It was black outer shell with a tan palm and tan laces. And I believe it was in the MVP your prime or something like that series but even then you can tell it was a very special club and I believe back then it cost around $160. Would love to get a hold of one today
2 in the pink dont compare traditional doesnt mess up your balance. Thats all players preference. I didnt play outfield but i wore outfield glove 2 in pinky lol
Infield, i always wanted a deep pocket still for 3rd base. I played 3rd 1st and catcher. But when they needed me on the corners thats how i had my gloves set up, and folded in my thumb and pinky. We never messed with the heel of the glove to break it in, i liked mine stiff just the fingers and pocket i wanted to break in.
My school uses that pitching machine for live abs and it is terrifying

As an outfielder, I put three in the pinky. And believe me it’s not crazy. It makes the glow close to the pinky almost with every single glove.

Played baseball my whole life. I really don’t think glove break in style and shape for outfielders is that important. The glove just needs to be comfortable and confidence inspiring. I played mostly 3rd base and middle infield but when I was a freshman and sophomore in high school playing varsity I played a lot of outfield and I used a borrowed outfield glove since all my personal gloves were for infield. I can’t remember dropping a fly ball one time and feeling like the glove was a hindrance. Maybe a personal outfield glove with a more carefully thought out break in would have made me a tiny fraction of a percent better. But it would have made almost zero difference.
Now for infield gloves that’s a different story. Glove shape has a very big impact on fielding ground balls and quick consistent transfer to the throwing hand.

I have to wear my outfield glove traditional because if I go 2 in the pink, the ball just falls out through the top of the fingers.

As an outfielder, I wear my glove with 2 gloves in the ring finger slot. It feels more comfortable than 2 in the pinky and more comfortable than the standard 1 in each slot. I don't know if anyone else does this but doing that is what works best for me. Y'all can try it out some day if you want LOL. It might be weird though since y'alls glove wasn't broken in with 2 in the ring finger slot unlike mine.

It’s different for every glove!
But typically two in the pinky with an open/slight flare. I like rolling my ring middle and index fingers in too
The only problem with this break in is that I don’t like for it to feel too deep

im going to disagree, simply for the fact that a lot of great defenders still wear their gloves like this. Griffey, Ichiro, Gallo, and Rickey Henderson all wore their gloves traditional when they won gold gloves. not saying its better, just saying for some players its more comfortable

It is a FACT that you have more strength and control when shifted over.
It is not a fact that you will like it more. And if you don’t like it more you will likely not play better
@ballgloveking . Gallo isnt an older athlete, also im naming those guys because they were defensive wizards, one of which the glove you got was designed for. They arent the only ones, just the ones i know off the top of my head. Still, if Ichiro breaks in his glove traditional im no questioning it

No way two in the pinky allows you more control to move your arms around.... It helps with a pocket but that's about it.
