I paired them like you did, but shortly after it unpaired again and can no longer pair. How do I get the small pad to say pair? It appeared originally, but after I paired it and later , it was unpaired. Pair no longer appeared on the small keypad.

How do you check to see if they are on the same firmware and 900 mhz?

The panel and TS1 do need to be on the same firmware. However, the latest firmware for the TS1 is 1.16 and that will work with firmware version 1.17 or higher on the control panel.

What cable is that that connects to 2 devices together

They aren't connected via a cable. They are connected wirelessly with the correct radio inside the panel. The 2 cords you see in the video are their power cords.
