Church probably has my favorite death in fiction ever..of all time, he hated these idiots for years and has been through so much from losing tex, finding out he is an AI, etc but in this room filled with other remnants of project freelancer he realizes these idiots are the closest thing to family he has and decides to give his life for them in the only way he can RIP in peace Leonard L Church enjoy your rest you've earned it in all your forms the director alpha gamma epsilon etc
You know, this scene would be 100x sadder if Church had finished what he had to say with "Goodbye", because "If you don't say goodbye, then you aren't really gone", so him saying "goodbye" would really set the idea that he's gone and he's not coming back.
There's those songs that you enjoy listening to, but only on special occasions. After a long day, after a tough event, maybe even after a great day, you end up in your room, lights off, headphones on, laying down.. Listening to a soothing song such as this one.. Sure it may make me cry, but for some reason I smile as well. Because I'm happy I got to experience, to literally feel something that not everyone will feel, and I'm overwhelmingly joyful.
many people think of Epsilon when this song plays. maybe that makes sense since this song was only around since season 11, and that was after Monty stopped animating rvb, but i gotta say, this song just reminds me of him. "When i think of you, your name's in the sky, 90 feet high"
+NovaWitness No, in season 12 Washington said to Caboose "I don't know how to say this without confusing you and breaking your extremely fragile heart" and Caboose just basically yelled in reply "I AM EMOTIONAL TIMEBOMB!"
This song pretty much sums up the feeling I had at the end of Season 13. They're so close to the end and now they're taking what could possibly be their last stand. It's sad, almost no chance they'll make it out, so close to the ending yet not quite making it. But then during the chorus (now that I think about it, is pretty appropriate), it gives you hope that they'll make it despite their bleak situation. In the back of your mind, you'll know that they'll make it. That they'll stand up and keep going, with nothing stopping them. And well, ain't that a bitch.
+Dylan Pamintuan I feel they ended the Chorus trilogy beautifully, we know that the Reds and Blues make it out minus one, but we don't see it, season 13 as the trailer told us is the story of how Epsilon died, not what happened after, and in a way its more effective not showing their escape, it would numb the price.
I was really not expecting Red vs Blue to make me bawl like a baby, wow, it started as an odd comedy about opposite sides stuck in a canyon, how did it become this?
When I first watched the ending I thought "they'll bring Church back somehow, even if he ends up being the epsilon of the epsilon!" but then I remembered, this Church deleted his memories, meaning he deleted the Epsilon fragment of himself.
it's sad really. This time he's actually gone. like in season 15, they potentially have the chance to bring back church from blood gulch, but caboose made the decision to just say goodbye and leave church, letting everything happen the way it happened. Granted he just thought church was in heaven and didn't fully understand it. but he still made the mature decision to let church go and say goodbye once and for all.
i think this if most of the alpha fragments are in maines suit can they just hook the suit check its programming and see what left of all the AI to rebuild church
@@billcipher3479 unlike Alpha who basically split itself off to avoid damage on itself. Epsilon erases all of his memories with nothing left. I think defragmenting and just splitting itself is two different things, especially if the intention behind the actions are also different. One for its own survival, the other for optimal function.
As I watched this scene, all I could think is... They've come a long way. Idiots to Heroes - Stupid to somewhat smarter but still stupid. Now... They have to go through their hardest fight yet...
+FirestarterGaming People could say the 100 Tex Fight would be harder, but remember; Guns vs Fists AND these Tex robots were made to fail. These are Trained Military Soldiers that have no mercy or anything.
I'm an emotional time bomb! RT is great at story writing and they have such fabulous music and animation they can make you feel sad, or happy, or whatever without it even feeling forced. I HATE this game of emotions we play!
Hey, Guys. If you're hearing this, it means u did it. U won. U kicked the shit of Hargove's forces. I knew u could. But this is my last stop. See, when I came into this world, I was really just a collection of somebody else's memories. "But with your help, these memories, they... they took form. They became *my* voice, *my* personality. And , after a while, I... I began to make new memories of my own. All of these things are what make me who I am. But they're also holding me back. I can run this suit as Epsilon. But if I erased my memories, if I deconstruct myself, the fragments are leap behind will have the strength to get you through this. I believe that. I wish there was another way. I'm leaving this message, as well as others, in the hopes that you'll understand why I have to go this time. Eheh, it was- it was actually *Doyle*, who made me realize something I'd never thought of before. There are so many stories where some brave hero decide to give their life to save the day, and because their sacrifice, the good guys son, the survivors all cheer, and everybody loves happily ever after." But the hero never gets to see that ending. They'll never know if they're sacrifice actually made a difference. They never know if the day was really saved. In the end, they just have to have faith. "Ain't that a bitch."
I just released what this line means one of us will be forgotten, so you know how church deletes him self hens forth "forgotten" and the other line, one will be wrong.... so you know how tucker said see you on the other side but church said not this time.. tuckers wrong. so sad
@@ratoz8127 Actually it works in both scenarios. Also, Forgotten can apply to church, because technically, he's not dead. He just wiped his memories. It's true what caboose said. He's not gone. He's just not here right now.
This ending man, nothing but feels. The hero speech at the end was absolutely perfect, and the fact they don't show the final fight makes it all the more emotional, it just flows with the speech. actually cried when i first saw this. In short: WHY CHURCH, WHYYYYYYYYYY?!
I broke down seriously. they came so far and that speech? and the little things each of them said convinced it's the end. holy fuck. this is probably my favorite season finally...it was just beautiful
I still think this was, quite possible, the perfect ending for Red vs. Blue. I'm not upset, or even disappointed, that the show continued, but I think, had Rooster Teeth decided to stop the series, this would've been the perfect point to do so.

I love this version of the song because u think about the poor guy in the original then in this one u find out the woman feels the same &I I just love it
I like the lyric in this song: "One of us will be forgotten, the other will be wrong." Because it touches on something that's been true about pretty much every war since the dawn of time: the soldiers doing the actual fighting do not personally hate each person they fight/kill. Granted they are on a side (be it by choice or by force) and are thusly fed/given reasons to hate the opposite side, but when the actual fighting happens that other side becomes a wall of nameless faces that the soldier either kills or gets killed by. That's one of the most fucked up things about war. The people who actually start the fight are never the ones that do the fighting, and often times the reason/cause the soldiers are made to believe they are fighting for turn out to be complete lies or bull shit. Remember when North asked, "We're the good guys... right?" According to the Director they were, according to every thing they were told about their battle said they were, but the entire time they were committing crimes with grievous consequences that accomplished nothing. So I'm trying to figure out the meaning behind the lyrics. I could go line by line, but I'm just going to say that I think the central message is that there are times in your life when you feel stuck and lose yourself and that you need to remember (contact) the memories of people/things from your past to give you the strength to move forward. +jack matasek Yet, they all just died. Alpha, Church, Epsilon. Of course, they also haven't died. They will all three live on in our memories. Especially Caboose's. Remember, memory is the key.
+fallenstar Yep. Alpha - Died in the E.M.P in Season 6 Leonard Church/Director - Took his own life in Season 10 Epsilon - Well...you know...Those were the only 3 Churches. This one just died. All 3 are dead.
+jack matasek Yes, but this is how I see it: by erasing his memories, Epsilon leaves behind fragments just as powerful as the originals, which when combined can recreate Alpha and with influence from the Reds, Blues, and company, will become Church again.
I seriously hope that even if season 14 doesn't continue a story arc, we'll at least learn if they won. Maybe even see the new A.I fragments. I can't stand not knowing the fates of these characters I've grown to love over the course of almost six years.
+TheArrancar44 Unfortunately, no such closure in S14 from what I gather. I believe the plan is to have like, a bunch of smaller stories in the RvB universe, spanning two or three episodes each. Source: RTX Aus panels. I THINK it was the Founding Fathers panel...
I've seen a lot of people trying to figure out what 2 4 1 10 menas and I think i got it.. well part of it. I think it's about the AI. 2- alpha and beta 4- not sure yet 1- epsilon 10- All of the freelancer AI (alpha, beta, gamma, delta, epsilon, eta, theta, iota, sigma, and omega)
Skyethewolf It's also the number of Reds that are human, the number of factions we see pre-S11 (Freelancers, Reds, Blues, UNSC). It's the number of factions on Chorus (Space Pirates, Federal Army, New Republic, Project Freelancer). Could even be the number of Project Freelancer experiments with the AIs (Changing host, only North gets one, multiple AI, and splitting the Alpha.)
+cloud43323 There are 5 reds in that scene. Lopez. But, if we want to be technical the Blues did have a robot kit as mentioned by Epsilon in Season 9 when he said "Oh right, we never used it, because I didn't die!" when Tex made Andy. As the Reds and Blues are supposed to be balanced, we can say these are the balances: Pre Season 1: Sarge - Cpt. Flowers Grif - Church Simmons - Tucker Season 5: Sarge - Cpt. Church (was supposed to be promoted after Flowers' death). Donut - Caboose Simmons - Tucker Grif - Sister So Blood Gulch was balanced fine, the only imbalances was when Sister was sent to replace Church after he replaced Flowers. The time between Flowers' death and Sister's arrival was imbalanced in favour of the Reds. Season 7: (Still technically in a Red vs Blue conflict) Caboose - Sarge ____ - Grif ____ - Simmons (I wouldn't count Donut or Lopez. Donut was not sent there as far as we know he was just looking for Church. Lopez is causing an imbalance as he is a recourse from another base.) And if you want to get super technical. Caboose doesn't exist right now as I am looking at this through the perspective of Command's computers. Season 11: Washington - Sarge Tucker - Simmons Caboose - Grif Now this one would have been apart of Washington's logs as he is known to keep from his monologue at the start of S11. I would not count Donut or Lopez again as they were not apart of the Crash. Also as Simmons mentions "Spare robot kitS" Implying that Lopez 2.0 was built from at least 1 robokit but the Reds had at least 2. This may be due to the Blues not seeing it as a valuable resource and the Reds took both. We can assume that because the ship was transporting them "home" AND that the ship was carrying Freelancer weapons that they were going to be dropped off at a base with balanced weaponry. Lopez 2.0 should not be counted. Season 13: Red - Blue *Fed* - _New_ Sarge - Washington Simmons - Tucker Grif - ____ Donut - Caboose Lopez - Epsilon (A bit of a stretch but as Epsilon still has ties to Blue team, and both are the only synthetics I felt like it fits here.) *Doyle* - _Kimbal_ *Emily Grey* - ____ ____ - _Andersmith_ ____ - _Jensen_ ____ - _Bitters_ ____ - _Palomo_ Season 13 is the most unbalanced season of all of them. Sure you have minor recurring characters like Rebel Medic who could oppose Grey, but she appeared twice. Doc is also a neutral party and cannot be counted to balance Grey as Doc is not a Rebel.
Green and Gray could refer to Locus One of us will be forgotten - Felix (Since he died) And the other will be wrong - Locus (Wrong about the reds and blues) OR One of us will be forgotten - Epsilon The other will be wrong - Tucker (since he said "See you on the other side, buddy" to Church) Just my thoughts, I'm probably wrong though

For Church, that was basically his way of saying, "You a** holes are the biggest pains in my a**, but you're still my family...and I love you guys."
thanks i didn't need my heart anyway
Am i the only one who sees locus in this song? "we are green and gray" or "one will be forgotten and the other one wrong"
Church.
Feels :( RIP Church
Church was dead a while ago though alpha was dead way before this the one that just died is epsilon
+Sean Johnson Great. I had just gotten over Church... I'm gonna just crawl back into my corner and cry some more as I listen to this again...
+jack matasek Yes, but this is how I see it: by erasing his memories, Epsilon leaves behind fragments just as powerful as the originals, which when combined can recreate Alpha and with influence from the Reds, Blues, and company, will become Church again.
See you on the other side, Church.
Im rewatch it
I seriously hope that even if season 14 doesn't continue a story arc, we'll at least learn if they won.
Jack Wyatt Maybe a future season then?
...I can hope.
+TheArrancar44 Season 14 will focus on one character, Season 15 will go back to the story.
I'm still sad that we weren't able to like, get the Epsilon A.I. Fragments as a part of the Cast.
I've seen a lot of people trying to figure out what 2 4 1 10 menas and I think i got it.. well part of it. I think it's about the AI.
2- alpha and beta
4- not sure yet
1- epsilon
10- All of the freelancer AI (alpha, beta, gamma, delta, epsilon, eta, theta, iota, sigma, and omega)
+Skyethewolf
Could 4 be the people on Blue Team that started everything?
Alpha, Tucker, Caboose and Tex?
+Evil Paragon 2 maybe, but tucker and caboose don't seem to fit with the others
Skyethewolf It's also the number of Reds that are human, the number of factions we see pre-S11 (Freelancers, Reds, Blues, UNSC). It's the number of factions on Chorus (Space Pirates, Federal Army, New Republic, Project Freelancer). Could even be the number of Project Freelancer experiments with the AIs (Changing host, only North gets one, multiple AI, and splitting the Alpha.)
+Skyethewolf 4 could be the dead Freelancers that something to do with the Reds and Blues: Maine, Wyoming, Tex & Florida
Nariko Beilschmidt South met Caboose and Alpha.
''I am an emotional time bomb.!''
They will bring church back
Why are the lyrics to all the good songs in RVB so sad?
church is not gone he is jusy not here right now
Hes not dead, no matter what happens, there will always be a way he comes back, we will just have to wait, because, it always happens, right?
Why did I come here for season 15 hype again?
damn just damn
To bad no other season has moved me like this one did
the ending of rvb season 13 is so sad
STOP CUTTING THE ONIONS GODAMMIT WHY
I like this one as much as I like the 08 revelation soundtrack. AND I LOVE THE SHIT OUTTA THAT ONE
Caboose: not my fault. someone put a wall in my way
*Sniff* Damn feels
In a way, I'm glad that Church wasn't brought back in season 15, that the message Temple had was a fake. It would've ruined Church's final scene.
Seasion 15 , hear we come....
What the hell is wrong with me?! Why am I not crying like a Baby?! Somebody help!
ik u might be busy but when that rwby soundtrack 3 coming out
The song its sad, but, wha happen in that rainy december? (september or whatever my earphones are kinda shit)
And now I’m sad
Someone has to tell Caboose.
+13nrandom I'd hate to be the one to tell him...
Oh damn
I wonder how caboose is doing
I noticed that there are three blues left while there are at least four reds and doc
+cloud43323 The blues just have problems keeping their guys alive.
+Near Endoh The blues have problems keeping Caboose from killing their guys.
+cloud43323
There are 5 reds in that scene.
Lopez.
But, if we want to be technical the Blues did have a robot kit as mentioned by Epsilon in Season 9 when he said "Oh right, we never used it, because I didn't die!" when Tex made Andy.
As the Reds and Blues are supposed to be balanced, we can say these are the balances:
Pre Season 1:
Sarge - Cpt. Flowers
Grif - Church
Simmons - Tucker
Season 5:
Sarge - Cpt. Church (was supposed to be promoted after Flowers' death).
Donut - Caboose
Simmons - Tucker
Grif - Sister
So Blood Gulch was balanced fine, the only imbalances was when Sister was sent to replace Church after he replaced Flowers. The time between Flowers' death and Sister's arrival was imbalanced in favour of the Reds.
Season 7: (Still technically in a Red vs Blue conflict)
Caboose - Sarge
____ - Grif
____ - Simmons
(I wouldn't count Donut or Lopez. Donut was not sent there as far as we know he was just looking for Church. Lopez is causing an imbalance as he is a recourse from another base.)
And if you want to get super technical. Caboose doesn't exist right now as I am looking at this through the perspective of Command's computers.
Season 11:
Washington - Sarge
Tucker - Simmons
Caboose - Grif
Now this one would have been apart of Washington's logs as he is known to keep from his monologue at the start of S11.
Season 13:
Red - Blue
*Fed* - _New_
Sarge - Washington
Simmons - Tucker
Grif - ____
Donut - Caboose
Lopez - Epsilon (A bit of a stretch but as Epsilon still has ties to Blue team, and both are the only synthetics I felt like it fits here.)
*Doyle* - _Kimbal_
*Emily Grey* - ____
____ - _Andersmith_
____ - _Jensen_
____ - _Bitters_
____ - _Palomo_
Season 13 is the most unbalanced season of all of them. Sure you have minor recurring characters like Rebel Medic who could oppose Grey, but she appeared twice.
Doc is also a neutral party and cannot be counted to balance Grey as Doc is not a Rebel.
Post-Season 13:
Sarge - Washington
Simmons - Tucker
Grif - ____
Donut - Caboose
Lopez - ____
____ - _Kimbal_
*Emily Grey* - ____
____ - _Andersmith_
____ - _Jensen_
____ - _Bitters_
____ - _Palomo_
one of us will be forgotuten (mabye chruch/epsilon) and the other will be wrong (i have no idea if anyone does tell me but my best is all of chorus)
Green and Gray could refer to Locus
One of us will be forgotten - Felix (Since he died)
And the other will be wrong - Locus (Wrong about the reds and blues)
OR
One of us will be forgotten - Epsilon
The other will be wrong - Tucker (since he said "See you on the other side, buddy" to Church)
Just my thoughts, I'm probably wrong though
2021
Yooooooooooooooooo
Wait... If Epsilon fragmented, that means he created another Epsilon. Right?
I don't think so. Remember how before he talks about fragmenting himself we see his copies of all the other AI fragments?
The original is always better. This statement is true for this song
