    My parents are from Trinidad, And my Mother used to cook Red beans Stew in a Stove top Pressure Cooker, She made the Stew Chicken on the Side, to Complete the dish with Brown Rice, Today As a Doctor and A Healthy Eating Advocate, 👩🏾‍⚕️ I used the same Methods at my Home in Chicago USA 🇺🇸, and still used the same Recipe My Mom Taught me to Cook in my Electric Pressure Cooker, I am Proud of Trinidadian Roots and The Healthy Cooking I Was Taught to Do.... Thank you for your wonderful video on Trinidadian cooking, Good Health to you and Your Family....👩🏾‍⚕️❤️🇺🇸🏳️‍🌈✡️🇹🇹🦋👍

    Is golden ray butter

  • @DocMoJo70
    @DocMoJo70 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    What is golden ray and what is another name for pimento?

    • @momstrinicooking4449
      @momstrinicooking4449  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      hi! golden ray is a salad butter, you can use regular butter or just omit it at all. For pimento it's a seasoning pepper that I use to enhance flavour, you can omit it completely and just use regular pepper for spice and heat!

  • @tkmansingh1

      it's a salted butter used in our cooking, but you can use regular butter as well.

    • @nadieraghoonanan6208
      @nadieraghoonanan6208 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's a margarine that had more salt that regular margarine and used especially for savoury dishes.

    • @momstrinicooking4449
      @momstrinicooking4449  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I added it in when I was boiling the red beans but you can always add it when you are stewing the beans.. You can add it while the ketchup is cooking, or at any time really.

    • @bonitaweekes4366
      @bonitaweekes4366 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The lady lives in Canada, you expect she can step outside and pick bandhania? You don't have to burn sugar to stew chicken. People like different things,she said she cooks to suit her family.

    • @momstrinicooking4449

      This is my version of how I stew red beans, you can absoloutely add bandania and stew with brown sugar, sometimes I do stew it that way. Try my recipe out, you might actually like it.
