Congratulations Trent. Dreams are meant to come true. Can’t wait for a video of your first overnight fly in, so all your friends can fill up the hanger with their bush planes .
I have watched you since before you started on the house. Really exciting to see you finish this stage of the dream. Congratulations, you worked incredibly hard to get here.
It has been a long journey, starting when you bought the property...I remember...and you have stayed focused and stayed the course. Congrats Trent. I am sure you will spend some time just staring at it all...taking in the fact that it is done. And you did it.
I've had a big smile on my face with every segment of this build. This one is no exception. I smiled the whole way through this video. You are so right - someone once said, "There's no such thing as to much horsepower." In your case, "There's no such thing as to much hanger space." WooooHoooo.
Congratulations! Tears in my eyes to see the realization of your dream. And chuckling over "you can never have enough space." For now, anyway, you have room for your flying buddies to come have a sleepover for their airplanes.
I loved seeing your build come together, im currently searching from property to build my homestead on as well as an airstrip. its been a few years of saving, and careful planning but im thinking in the next 4 years ill finally have it. 10 years in the Navy and dreaming of bigger and better things and its finally in sight and doable.
One day in Ft. Walton Beach I was walking down the street to Fokker’s Pub and by sheer coincidence an Air Force pilot was taking delivery of a Quicksilver ultra light at one of the businesses on the way. He was a total stranger, but I got to share in that moment when he was able to finally own his own aircraft after years of work and saving. I remember being so happy for him, it’s something I’ll never forget. Good luck! 😀
Fantastic video, Trent! Things look awesome over there! Your #DiamondDoors Bi-Fold hangar door looks and works amazingly! Great job, everyone! A night shot of your outdoor lighting might be cool. Congratulations, Trent!!!
Congratulations, what a milestone! Still remember I joined this channel when you tour the house and you mention the hanger build in the future. It doesn't mather if dreams are big or small, what matters is that we achive them.
It's so wonderful to see all your ideas come to fruition!! Your videos are always great and this one totally made me cry cause I know how much you wanted this!!
After watching your channel for several years I feel invested in this story and have been waiting for the hangar. Truly happy for you and your accomplishment. This is a huge milestone!! Congrats!
I just built and installed the door for our hanger as well, I forget the brand name but its an incredible door design. Single swing, but Instead of pivoting at the top header, the door sits on pins mounted to the door jams. Up top are cam rollers that extend back into the building by the ceiling, with the hydro rams all concealed inside the door jams. When it opens, it swings a fluid motion up and inside, so half the door ends up against the ceiling, and half is outside. It opens completely horizontal so you have max door height, and lots of shade from the sun. Theres a single horizontal truss about halfway up across the whole outside door, which actually makes a great shaded extention when the door is closed. I have worked a lot with those bifolds, and they offer very minimal shade when open, and hang quite a bit lower than the header when fully opened. Not to discredit your Door choice at all, hell if it works it works. But since you're reviewing it, I thought I would share my experiences with this, in my opinion, much better design of hanger door. Either way congrats on the hanger man, it was cool to watch the difference in building a metal building vs we were building our stick frame hanger at the same time as you. In the end, they all cost way too Damn much, but there's nothing better than seeing that building come to fruition. Cheers brother🤙
Our Airport has those Bi-fold doors. Heads-up, keep an eye on the pulleys at the top. If the cables aren’t kept taunt, they can jump to the outside of the pulley and wear out the shaft that goes through the pulley. Very nice hanger! Congratulations
Looks so nice Teent, great job, and way to show those garage door guys that there is a way to do things right, even though it wasn't perfectly made for your building.
This is one of my favorite videos of yours. You inspired me to get into aviation and to see your hangar go up and the FreedomFox inside with your own runway. Just looks so sick! S/O Diamond Doors that is a slick door!
Congratulations Trent !! My pilot Uncle did this decades ago and never regretted it (except doing it sooner). For the dirt ... maybe thrown down some basic crass or something similar to keep the dust to a minimum. Enjoy the fruits of your hard labor !!!
Diamond Doors didn't have to ask you to mention them, because they knew you would love your door enough to talk about it anyway. That's a sign of a good product and good marketing!
Trent, I've been watching you for 5 years now since the day you broke ground on your house and I'm almost crying watching this because you have been my inspiration for as long as I can remember, I started watching your vids when I was 10 and I'm now pursuing my own pilots license thanks to you. I can never explain how big of a difference you have made in my life, thank you so much for 5 years of entertainment, inspiration and lessons, here's to 5 more. Congratulations on everything you have achieved over the years, and thank you again.
Goodbye hangar fees for life! What an excellent hangar, you are a lucky man having that at home. Now on to landscaping! I bet you could build some very nice gardens around the hangar.
That must have been an awesome feeling bringing thr garage door opener with you fort that flight 😊 awesome job with the hangar build and congratulations! 🎉
Nice build Trent - Top notch as usual. I Just received my special airworthiness certificate on my Kitfox 5, so I'll be seeing you around in the upcoming years.
Congrats Trent on a fine looking hangar. A few things I thought that would help are putting a rubber threshold strip under the two larger doors to keep the bugs and water out and hang a Big Ass fan in the middle to cool it. Again, well done...
Hi Trent, What an incredible project that came out beautiful. It's great to see you be able to enjoy the fruits of your labor. You have put together everyone's dream that is in aviation. Great job! Take care, Be safe.
I'm so happy for you as I've watched the progress of your own new home with enough property for a landing strip, and how a beautiful hangar as well. Congratulations--I"m very happy for you. Every Pilot's dream. Myself and many other people some years ago contributed $$ for your friend Nikk to build a new Kitfox after his accident and lengthy recovery. But we've seen precious little for quite a while on your channel about Nikk, and about his new Kitfox. How about a video soon on his progress, his recovery, and his new Kitfox? My best to you. CHeers.
What an AMAZING ACCOMPLISHMENT ! ! ! And it is BEEEEEEEEEEAUTIFUL both inside and out ! I think we are ALL is spectators are GREEN with ENVY ! And whoever said that, " Your hanger can NEVER be TOO BIG." is dead on ! And I am once again impressed with what I'm going to call, your "AVIATOR ATTITUDE" when you found out that roll up glass door was NOT the right size..... but you found a way to make it work anyway. AND from what I can see, it LOOKS like it was made to fit the opening. Just FABULOUS in every way ! ! ! ! ! ! ! BUT, of course, "Curious George" here, now has one more question.... Are you gonna have any 2nd floor work or storage area kinda like what Mike (Patey) put in his hanger ? ....(I think he did that renovation just before he started to build "Scrappy"?)
My late boss, Al Hundere (of Alcor EGTs and CHTs), had a Seneca upgraded to have Seneca II gear that was approved for rough strips like yours. He had a tiny island with an airstrip on it. It was next to the island of Roritan off the Honduran coast. He would fly the Seneca to the Island after clearing customs in Tegucigalpa. He also kept a Cessna 206 in a hangar in Teguc in case he flew his 340 to Honduras from San Antonio, instead of the Seneca. The 206 could match the 340 pound for pound in load. FYI, he had a Kitfox II on floats that he used from the lake by his house in Salmon Arm, BC.
Lovely job, Trent. I'm looking forward to seeing how you transform the outside. Don't forget the fire sprinkler system on the roof. I've watched your one about the fire scare you had.
Pilatus PC-12 and a little longer strip and cut the grass those approch lights looked lost out there some wheree Thanks for what we all have been waiting for Mr Palmer weldone
Congratulations, Trent, on "completing" the hangar. We all know that such a thing is never "done," there are always refinements and tweaks down the road. But, you've reached this goal! Time to relax and enjoy . . . and start to plan the next goal. We're either moving forward or losing ground. So, solar roof panels, batteries, and taking the whole thing off grid? Airfield accessories? Fuel storage? Camera towers, drone signal boosters?
Living your best life man! I know there has been some turbulence on your route, but we can all see what's possible when the team has a common goal and is willing to roll up the sleeves! Congratulations Sir.👌
Good to see this thing come together. I just spent a lot of time just setting up a power meter and panel to get service remotely on my wife's land. I was looking at running power back twice the distance we actually ran.... the cost was staggering.
Excellent job Trent! It’s been a joy watching your vision and hard work culminating in a beautiful hanger and shop! Was going to look for your plane at RARA but guess it will be at home? Perhaps I’ll see you there.
Nice you should get an internet enabled door remote. MyQ is cheap and works well. There are some homebrew and others. You can then open it as long as you have Internet.
Love the glass garage door, looks fantastic. Also really dig how involved you are in the build and not just someone paying others to do the work. Cool looking at the plane and other toys sitting in there.
Trent, It looks great. I realize that there is more to do but you need to consider having a "small" fly in and invite all those who helped. Make sure you do a video of it and make stars of all who helped nd are ok being on TH-cam. I am here in Houston considering building a building and am glad to know about Diamond Doors.
Have you considered interlocking brick pavers to cover the ground in front of the hangar to keep dirt and dust at bay? They can be lifted in small sections to re-level if ever needed, and they look great. Just a suggestion. Great looking hangar. Cheers from Winnipeg.
Well Done!! Beautiful hanger and fits well with the house. Let me know when you are ready for cabinets I have a product that will fit great in the hanger.
TP Fly-in in 3..2... That is an absolutely sick shop/hangar! And yeah the Diamond Door is too cool. I love the bi-fold style because it gives you nice little awning and it's just out of the way completely.

lamps on the lower half of the hangar door (just below the longitudinal hinge), when closed, illuminate the street near the hangar, and when the hangar door is open and in the upper folded state, they give a little light to the hangar...
Congrats Trent long time coming!! Looks great just think if you could back up the Freedom Fox like that big red monster?? Ha ha Lol love all you guys Flying Cowboys! Keep up the great work Trent!!
Wow.. Diamond Doors didn't ask for squat, eh? Best possible advertising on the planet. The fact that you love it so much is impressive. Now the trick will be how it holds up to the weather over time. I could see that external roller getting compromised by sand/rain/etc. on surfaces. Please do a quality update in a year or two. (Like you'll remember. X-D )
You stuck with it, awesome achievement 😊 How many projects like this start, and never finish!! Never mind to such a high quality and innovative design. 👍👍
I'm sure that's a great deal of satisfaction for you. Not having to travel anymore to go get your plane. Just walking out your door and taking off. Is congratulations, A job well done.
Looks great. I'm living vicariously through you since I can't afford to both race cars and pursue my pilots license, so I stopped flying. But i can watch flying videos like yours ! Thanks for the cool content over the years, im super excited for your new space, it will open up allot of opportunities. .
I installed my own garage doors (10x10s) after getting multiple quotes of $2k+/door for install. Saved myself $6k. Made 1 reversible mistake. Really not difficult at all. Hanger looks great!
Holy Moly. I thought you were going to build a hangar. Then wait, wait, wait, no hangar. I was going to offer to whip over to you and erect a quick T-hangar, or my favorite, a surplus WWII Quonset hut hangar. I didn't know you were going to build a convention center. lol. Excellent build.
The shot of Freedom Fox flying over the hanger while the door was opening was the coolest thing ever!
Congratulations Trent. Dreams are meant to come true. Can’t wait for a video of your first overnight fly in, so all your friends can fill up the hanger with their bush planes .

😀😀 Trent’s Hangar….His favourite “Square Space” for sure.
I've had a big smile on my face with every segment of this build. This one is no exception. I smiled the whole way through this video. You are so right - someone once said, "There's no such thing as to much horsepower." In your case, "There's no such thing as to much hanger space." WooooHoooo.

Been with you from start to finish on this hangar build series man. So pumped to have been along for the ride. What a joy :)
After watching your channel for several years I feel invested in this story and have been waiting for the hangar. Truly happy for you and your accomplishment. This is a huge milestone!! Congrats!
Wow wow wow, can’t believer it’s DONE! This is living the dream right here, congrats!!
Awesome Trent mate, well done and must feel so amazing. Awesome job to you and all those who helped out.
Huge congrats and Well Done Trent. It's been a long time coming and I'm glad to see the final result. Absolutely awesome!
Congratulations Trent. We can tell you worked extremely hard to make this happen. You earned it!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Awesome hanger, awesome plane, awesome home on awesome land in an awesome place! Cheers
Cool, Well Done Trent. Once you got the plane in there, I am amazed at how large it is. Never enough like you said.
You may have to use all that extra space to build a plane. That would make for some good videos.
Trent
Thanks again for sharing your experience with building your hanger with us.

Super stoked for you Trent. Had the same excitement first time my hanger door opened under its own power. Even cried a bit I think.
Wow! - I've been watching through the entire home / garage build. I am amazed and your skills. Congratulations!
So happy for you. This even made me smile! I love the shot with the Freedom Fox pulling right up front of the hanger.

Solar is definitely on my radar when my wallet recovers from the build!
Also consider VAWT, a la Oy Windside for electric generation.
Gongrats from Finland. Your happines was easily felt over here. I'm thinking there is a party coming somewhere in the future 🎉
Congratulations Trent! Awesome hanger you have there.
And now, you're also a Professional "garage door installer"!!
GOD Bless
Smiling!
Great to see it done. Believing you will have many great years using it.
Living your best life man! I know there has been some turbulence on your route, but we can all see what's possible when the team has a common goal and is willing to roll up the sleeves! Congratulations Sir.👌
Do have a generator or battery backup to get that awesome door open if the power goes out?
Awesome work Trent! Beautiful hangar.
Awesome job with the hangar Trent!
I'll bet it's going to feel great to make full use of it.
Looks great Trent, hopefully you can find a solution to if the power goes out, you can still open that door (if you have a generator, no problem)
So awesome! Congrats on the finished hanger!
Good job, Mr. P. Happy for you.
...kind of envious, too.
Good to see this thing come together. I just spent a lot of time just setting up a power meter and panel to get service remotely on my wife's land. I was looking at running power back twice the distance we actually ran.... the cost was staggering.
Can't beat that "water tight" feeling on a project like that. Congrats Trent! !! !!!
Awesome man!! Long time coming.... but you are there!!
Congrats!!
Thanks for sharing!
Well done, Trent! Freedom Fox looks PERFECT in the new hangar! 🤙🏼
Finally your own hangar👍
Love watching your videos from a different part of the world. Cant wait how the videos look like flying from your own house.
Excellent job Trent! It’s been a joy watching your vision and hard work culminating in a beautiful hanger and shop! Was going to look for your plane at RARA but guess it will be at home? Perhaps I’ll see you there.
E little turbo single .... Even a high wing caravan would do nicely. Handle the tough ground. Looks great.

Looks great Trent, and Bravo on the door work and well all the rest of the hands on work you have done.
Your video quality has gotten so good that we are ready for "TRENT PALMER the MOVIE"
Hey, make sure you use a good sealer on that floor and then paint it but color you want. So it won't leave oil spots.
That is just such an amazing achievement. Well done Trent. Fantastic.
Congrats Trent! What a terrific hangar!
When is the fly-In for the hangar party??! Really nice job and much deserved pride in tackling it yourself with your friends and team.
Have you considered interlocking brick pavers to cover the ground in front of the hangar to keep dirt and dust at bay? They can be lifted in small sections to re-level if ever needed, and they look great. Just a suggestion. Great looking hangar. Cheers from Winnipeg.
Congratulation's Trent. That was a huge upgrade and project. Well done!!
Congratulations! For some reason it feels great to see you fulfilling your dream!
Congrats my friend…. I fly out off my ranch in NorCal, nothing like it… well done!
Congrats. Very cool build. As you prep the outside entrance maybe a wheel wash station to help keep the polished floor clean.
Heck ya man! So happy for you. Love watching your videos and seeing you succeed. I’ve seen every one of them. Keep it up! Again, congrats on the hanger!!
Congrats Trent!

You waited for a long time for this Trent.... all set for winter now...... and looks amazing.
Congrats Trent long time coming!! Looks great just think if you could back up the Freedom Fox like that big red monster?? Ha ha Lol love all you guys Flying Cowboys! Keep up the great work Trent!!
Trent ! Where's the Solar and Micro Wind power generation system ??? Pretty sweet homestead there Trent. Love watching the life of Trent & Haley .
Wow.. Diamond Doors didn't ask for squat, eh? Best possible advertising on the planet. The fact that you love it so much is impressive. Now the trick will be how it holds up to the weather over time.
This literally made me smile. Congratulations Trent. What a great feeling!
