The presets on the pulse 2 are rubbish, to be honest, other than that though its a gorgeous-sounding synth, the bare bone oscillators are a thing of beauty.
i have a mac full of VAs. a much underappreciated MAudio Venom. An Emu E4K painted White with mods including a solid state drive. ive owned a DW8000, An Alpha Juno2, an Emax, A D-50, JD800, JD990, Moog LIttle Phatty, Virus C, Blofeld, VSynth GT, Motif6, Prophet 08, Korg Kronos. of ALL the synths i miss i would have to say Alpha Juno 2, Vsynth GT and Kronos. NExt synth will be WALDORF PULSE 2 and King Korg.
On sent bien que le son du Pulse 1 est meilleur que celui du Pulse 2. 17:20 vs 18:41 . On rajoute des tas de fonctionnalités qui font perdre l'essentiel : le son.
DCO is not an issue. This mean it's more stable in tune compare to VCO (they need to warm up - the most of them at least 15 minutes). Many other synths have DCO, even classic ones like JUNO 6, 60, 106. I've got Pulse 2 myself and I like it a lot :-)
you people that fret over this kind of stuff i don't get at all. have you heard this synth? it sounds excellent. raw and organic. if you like the SOUND and it will fit in your tracks then buy it and stop worrying about whether the oscillators are digitally controlled or not.

If you program it properly, the Pulse 2 can create bass sounds that will liquefy your kidneys. It's a beast when you get to know it.

Concerning this demo. Did you use some external reverb FX or this reverb is directly from Pulse 2?

The Pulse doesn't have FX other than analog distortion (and panning).
Use some external reverb and it sounds beautiful.
He is using a TC reverb/ delay unit ( between the pulse 1 and the speaker )

bass station 2 has the filter freq keytracking permanently locked to 1.0 for some reason

I like Pulse's DCOs way better than my Alpha Juno's DCOs for that matter.
