Besides the joy of watching your beautiful family grow along side your showstopper property, you have taught us so much about gardening, and for that, we are deeply grateful. The detailed and clear instructions during this section of the video are awesome!! I am so excited to try your techniques in a pot!
I know you and Aaron need to support your explosive, well-deserved popularity by obtaining more property and taking on huge projects, but since most of your followers probably have average sized properties, would you consider doing more videos with smaller, specific instructions, such as in this section? It feels that lately the videos are more focused on large scale landscaping projects and less on the smaller gardening lessons and tips an average person can implement in their own garden. Please don’t take this as a criticism - it’s an observation from a devoted fan.
I also like matching pots, as opposed to different ones…but I have to admit, the container challenge video is my all time fave! I go back and watch it each spring for inspo🌺🌺
Laura, your containers are gorgeous! But I think Samantha stole the show with her adorable mimicking of mama filming the containers with her little compact! I just wanted to reach through the video and give her a hug❣️🥰

Am I the only person that squealed with delight to see the quick fire fab shrubs in the beginning of the video? 🌸🤩 I feel as though we rarely get to see that corner of the property during monthly tours, which only matters because it was my original inspiration to plant quick fire fabs in my own garden. Fall planters are, no joke, my single favorite gardening videos to watch on TH-cam every season. I never get tired of seeing the new ways gardeners come up with to use the limited plants available to make the garden continue to look lovely through the cooler months. There were some fantastic planting tips in this one, too. I’ll be saving it to my fall gardening playlist, for sure!

I love that there is pasture behind the pots. It gives the perfect resting space for the eyes. Even if all the pots are different, like your challenge a few years back, the lush green pasture provided the balance for me. These fall pots are lovely.

Good morning Laura. My wife and I watch your videos almost every morning. I saw you guessing what diameter those containers are. A little trick I learned many, many years ago for a quick rough estimate on measuring something. Spread your hand out as wide as you can and measure the distance from the tip of your thumb to the tip of your little finger. Mine measures 8 inches. When you want a quick estimate on something, simply spread your hand, put your thumb at the starting point, then walk your hand repositioning your thumb to where your little finger was and re-stretch your hand again. Repeat till the end is reached. If I did that 3 times the container would be 24 inch diameter.
Keep on keeping on. Love you guys.

I think these are some of my fave planters I’ve seen you plant!! The colors are gorgeous. Thank you for shooting from above the planter to show how it’s done. Now I really understand the process. The green grass behind Laura was magnificent as well as the row of planters behind her. It was all a feast for the eyes.

Love all your Fall containers, especially those along the drive. Totally agree with you about having them look the same, it is always more appealing to look at that way. I do the same things with the containers I plant at my church and so far, other members of the church have always voiced their pleasure at looking at them. Purple can be such a great fall color. If those planters by the Hartley hold on during a chilly period, I wouldn't be in such a hurry to pull them. They've been gorgeous all season!

I remember years ago in one of your videos that someone was telling you to design like they grow and I kept thinking that way looks like someone doesn’t know what they’re doing!
