This! I don’t think his occupation was the issue. How he replied to her question was the issue. His response was boring. One guy even explained it. He said that the truck driver had several opportunities to see the response of others and how they “sold” themselves in their response. Truck driver isn’t an issue. But I also agree that she could have asked a more engaging question if she wanted a more elaborate response. The guy did answer the question as it was presented.

She'll need a whole lot of creativity when here home has electrical issues, or her packages are delayed due to transportation issues in the supply chains. I'm not a fan of people being so dismissive of those who are in the trades. There are a lot of educated, non productive people out there, and not all entrepreneurs are successful.

I enjoy watching the episodes and find it interesting especially since I like to see human interaction and it's quite the entertainment. Glad it's a successful production.

I think the interaction with Darold was a prime example of women not knowing how to receive men's feelings. And how we love to complain about how hood dudes are brutish and this and that, but when they come on a more tender note, we treat them like clowns and think it's funny. And I'm not even saying that in a critical way, just how it came across: dude was deadass hurt, though he tried to remain civil and level-headed, and instead of just apologizing and keeping it at that, she kept trying to make what she said seem valid. Good job on the lady on the right catching what was happening and making it a teaching moment.
Truck driver here. I don’t see an issue with her eliminating the truck driver based on the way he answered the question. Truck driving can allow and inspire creativity by seeing different parts of the country. You can also get inspired by people you meet in these areas. It’s not a creative job in itself but it can still lend to creativity. But there’s no way she could have known that by his answer.
The issue I did find is when she said she needs to find a man who “knows he’s more than a truck driver”. Nothing wrong with being a truck driver. In fact, it’s us who make the world go round. But at that point I think she just felt cornered and ended up digging herself in a hole.

Serenity has so much class and every time she spoke, she spoke with so much grace.
I love that Darryl has so much patience. Even tho Rizoma still seemed as tho she was trying to speak ill towards him and tried to belittle him, he clapped back at her respectfully and didn’t get out of character.
Jess is so funny and I love her facial expressions 💀 I also love the fact that she stood up for Darryl because society definitely tears down black men enough as it is, so seeing her speak up for him after Rizoma’s comments was beautiful to see.
Daryll may not display a broad vocabulary, but he speaks in analogies, metaphors and similies. He is able to articulate himself, even with slang in a very expressive, poetic and clear way.
Darryl has on shoes that are too big this episode, something is not right about him. I despised Risoma at first but now I’m starting to think she was on to something. Her delivery was wrong but what she stated wasn’t.

Rizoma tried to justify her comments by explaining why she said those things, but in reality, she was disrespectful . She started to go hard on Daryl, which ultimately revealed her bad personality. This became particularly clear during the catch-up episode with BO. I think she needs to work on herself.
