Same! Suomi mainittu, torilla tavataan! 🇫🇮 But kind of sad they didn't try any fazer chocolate in this video. But it's always funny to see reactions when ppl try liquorice and salty liquorice. 😂
As a half Norwegian, halv Finn, this video is right up my alley. I was a little disappointed I didn't get to see you try the Finnish chocolate (Fazer), though. I especially wanted to know how you liked it compared to the Norwegian milk chocolate :-D
it is a shame you didn't try any of the Fazer chocolates (the blue one is the classic and it is just the perfect milk chocolate), but jeah loved to see the ones you still tried.
Research has actually been done on the like and dislike for licorice which have found that ones dislike for it is often not acquired, but rather genetic, similarly to how genetics determine if we're tolerant or intolerant to the lactose in milk products. Those without the tolerance will experience the taste more bitter, sharp and lingering rather than sweet due to their body identifying it as a poison. So I guess that would explain why those with a Scandinavian linage are more likely to enjoy licorice than others.
I have lived in Korea and I'm finnish. The amount of time I heard 'Xylitol' and 'Hyvä hyvä' is ridiculous. I don't know where the Xylitol advertising company aka Lotte invented 'hyvä hyvä' phrase but in Finland we don't say that, ever, when we talk about how good something is.. 'hyvä' means 'good' but we never say it twice and if we mean that something's good we say 'hyvää'. Sorry about the lecture xD But otherwise it's at least cool that koreans know something about my country.
also what makes the commercial super awkward is the random green sami costume.... like finnish folk costume and sami costume are super different, and using sami costume to represent finns is super awkward taking into account our history. especially since sami ppl tend to be sensitive about their clothes and how they are represented. like even that one shortened version that one miss world contestant used sparked outrage, and it was otherwise atleast a bit more accurate. imagine ppl seeing this green nightmare..... it’s basically like using native american tribes clothes to represent americans and dyeing them fucking green. also wtf is up with that weird ass dance? like where is it even from??? who tf dances like that?????????
As someone who lives in Norway, it is so refreshing to see our snacks being enjoyed at the other side of the world! Thanks to Vanna. And even the packaging with "Posten" on is soo norwegian
I have to say Norwegian chocolate is definitely one of the few best. I’ve traveled the world, lived in other countries and hands down Norwegian chocolate tastes the most authentic, without being too sweet. Norwegians really do know how to make good, rich chocolate!

Then recently they were like "let's end the gender segregation for the jelly people!", and now there are both male and female jelly people in the same bag.
What I love about koreans and japanese is how polite and respectful you seem. In many ways it quite similar to how most scandinavians are, yet very different in your own unique way.
