It’s great that they actually got someone of Mexican descent to make it!!
They usually do
Only because he's light skinned
@@Tony-iu7sw what does that mean ?

I think as long as they understand the culture, it’s fiiine. I’m Mexican btw and love when anyone embraces my culture whether they’re descendants of Mexico or not 😋
3 languages spoken effortlessly. That’s impressive in itself. Great vid.
he rlly made them say cabrones 💀💀
Es por su propio bien, cuando lo repitan enfrente de algún mexicano le van a caer bien inmediatamente 😆
*cackles in Mexican*
Obvio 😂
FAXX LOL I WAS ;LIKE WTFF
Jajajajajajaja.......🤣
The way he watches them eat and enjoy the food we share with others, it literally brings joy to us. Reminds me of grandma when I visit her in Mexico and she sees how much I love her cooking
I felt that when he said you can’t lose weight in Mexico 😭
So true. Almost all my meals involve me eating like 4 tortillas. Especially breakfast time 😭
You can't lose weight with Indian food either 😭
No matter what you try you can’t escape Mexican food
I have been facetiming my cousins in Mexico lately... tacos every night... wtf im jealous

It's incredible how much we make with tortillas, onion, cilantro, chiles and tomatoes. 😂
@@bdbd1390 no era bistec? pero si en México hay mayor variedad de quesadillas
@@DrDaggerSwagger We don't, we only use ham sometimes for breakfast, it's almost prohibited to use ham on a traditional mexican dish because grandma scolds you, they say cold meats are for lazy people, most mexican dishes at lunch and dinner are dominated by steak, pork and chicken
@@DrDaggerSwagger if you wanna go full gringo go for the chicken, but mexicans usually put steak, ham, chorizo. ham isnt used very often so idk where ur getting that
@@DrDaggerSwagger it really depends on which part of Mexico you visit. In the norther parts, especially close to the border, it is not unusual to add ham when you want to add some extra protein to a simple dish, however the further south you go it is more usual to use beef, pork, chicken or turkey.
Cold cuts are usually not used so much in proper meals, rather they are more usual when you're speaking about young people wanting to make a quick meal or tired parents trying to get the kids to shut up and eat something.
In this video, for example, he added ham to the quesadilla, but you can add almost anything to a quesadilla so long as you respect that it has to be a tortilla with cheese that you melt in it. Grilled beef, pumpkin flowers, corn smut, chicken, fried beef intestines, shrimp, smoked marlin...and that's just off the top of my head.
“viva mexico cabrones”, that my friend is how you know he is a true mexican

My family usually puts eggs in the chilaquiles and we eat it with queso fresco, crema, cilantro/onions, and beans. Dang now I want some chilaquiles.

He should have put Chorizo in that Quesadilla 👀 On a plus note, we need more videos like these. Make them tinga, chille rellenos, and Mole
Those ingredients are probably hard to find in South Korea so he makes with what he has.
Omg I've been wanting to see a Korean react to mole and tamales for the longest time

I’m Mexican and love Korean food and let me tell you. If you add some kimchi in a quesadilla it’s life changing especially if you add steak or chicken too.
Grilled kimchi is especially good with pork. Kimchi and chorizo is a game changer

I think its a very amazing thing for you to know the language, and to be able to bring two different cultures together. I felt proud for you, because you brought something to Korea and yet you cooked like you were home (Mexico). Felicidades brother!!
As a Mexican, it makes me really happy see this kind of videos ... Thank you :)
I put pickled jalapenos in my quesadillas and I always fry them in a little oil so they get extra crispy on the outside. I also like to use some sharp cheddar in mine. And of course pico de gallo!
With chilaquiles I like to cook the salsa and scramble some eggs in the salsa just before dumping the chips in, in so the chips get all coated with egg :) I usually make it with salsa verde, but I bet it would be impossible to find tomatillos there!

Well tbf you'll only get it if you've 1)gone to Mexico 2)are Mexican 3)ate a lot of Mexican food, which was not true for anyone but him.
The quesadillas I *make* are gringo-style flour tortillas with whatever cheese and other ingredients I have in the fridge; the quesadillas I *favor* are fresh corn masa-based assemblies from scratch when I visit family in Mexico City, stuffed with the veggie fillings I miss [that are harder to find than all the typical meat fillings north of the border] like huitlacoche, calabasa, hongos/champiñones, and rajas.
(I can vouch for fusiony mixes like mashed potatoes and kimchi under a blanket of pepper jack.)
As a Mexican-American living here in South Korea... this made me miss home so much! Now I need to make some chilequiles, quesadillas and enchiladas!
Btw... where's the fried egg to top the chilequiles??
Honestly, I love watching videos of foreigners trying mexican food!! They actually help me give better descriptions of taste and flavor of dishes that I already know so well. For example, salsa and other chilé based sauces have been described as “sour” which I’ve never thought of, including friends and family, as simple as it sounds. Being so used to my own culture, it’s the small stuff that will go over our head and yet can be the biggest impact to other culture’s and people who experience it.
Yesss a Tri-lingual king !!! Que chido
The girls reaction is so cute!!! 🥺💜
VIVA MEXICO 🇲🇽 y COREA 🇰🇷 CABRONES!
"I will give it to them with salsa in a minute. Please wait."

I'm cuban but I just love Mexican food, every time my mom's Mexican friend comes over he cooks us some delicious food 😋☺😊.
In my family we normally have green chilaquiles with crema, cheese (queso fresco or chihuahua, usually), onion and avocado. If we are feeling fancy we might add egg or arrachera. They are so good, especially when we have some fresh bolillos, tecolotes are delicious! Also, quesadillas can be made with whatever hahah he really went the extra mile and grilled the ham! I normally just put everything together and then grill the quesadilla, though I do top it with avocado and salsa!

Really? That's interesting to hear since everybody I know always says they gain weight when coming here. I went to the US for two months since I have family there and I gained 2 pounds, I was so shocked 😭
The food is mexico is so fresh it made me not wanna come back home. The bread, the meat, the everything. I remember seeing rotisserie chicken in mexico and was surpised at how small it was but that's the actual size a chicken should be. The one's in the u.s are so filled with so many hormones that's why their big.
I love watching this kind of videos, they make me feel so proud about our gastronomy. it's so sweet for the korean people enjoy our foods, thanks for that!!
it looked liked the Mexican flag on his cutting board just before he scraped it into his mixing bowl. I wonder if that was intentional.
Well most of our meals consist what I call "bandera" (flag) ingredients. Chile, tomate, y cebolla. (green chiles, tomatoes & white onions). Additionally cilantro & avocados are also green. They're the staples or base for most of our recipes. 💚🤍❤
There’s steak and pork a la Mexican which is just meat with jalapenos, tomatoes and onion. So fire.
Funny you mention that. My family always says the key ingredients are the Mexican flag.....which of course refers to "chile"(any green spicy peppers), tomato, and onion.
@@jennd1298 yeah that's when its called a lanmexicana
That sauce is called flag sauce (salsa bandera) in my state in México.
While I lived in Korea for a year, the local Mexican restaurant was always packed with the local populace! Mexican food has a special place in the heart of many Koreans!
They should try huevos rancheros! with some salsa roja or salsa verde
I second this suggestion! With corn tortillas. If he can get them over there?
Chacha was so happy after tasting each dish (that's what I call a "fork-gasm") she almost wasn't able to speak. Hilarious!!
My favorite diner in Georgia, oddly, had the most amazing chilaquiles. As I'm Korean, I couldn't even begin to claim if it was authentic or not, but it was the bed of beans and chips, the sauce, shredded chicken, cheese sauce, crema, and pico de gallo, all topped with 2 chicken flautas. As I said, I dunno if it was authentic or not, but it was tasty as hell. And so much food, it usually took me 3 meals to finish it. But I LOVED it.
thats more tex-mex food but close enough !!!
The flautas are overkill imo
i love how all people love the simplest mexican food just as much as we do
I want them to try caldo de pollo, pozole, and menudo since they also have soup dishes over there I wanna see how they would react 🤔🤔
i looked at the brands of tortillas he used and he made the right choice. i can smell them across the internet they bring back memories.
The way that my siblings and i eat chilaquiles is just with cheese and egg. My parents eat it with cheese, egg, avocado, crema, onion, and chiles. we don’t eat it with beans
When I see foreigners enjoy our food and being so happy to eat it I feel so proud of my culture and country, VIVA MEXICO CABRONES
Doesn’t matter what’s in it. Like he said you can’t make a quesadilla taste bad👌🏼
My favorite "simple" quesadilla is queso fresco in a corn tortilla. The cheese doesn't melt much, just softens, but it is so freaking good and easy. If I want to get fancier, I like adobada/pastor, flour tortilla, Oaxaca cheese, cilantro, onion, spicy-ass salsa and lime.
VIVA MÉXICO 🇲🇽♥️ nuestra comida es realmente deliciosa ✨👏🏻

I love the ending how everyone came in to eat ❤️ Love these of videos so wholesome 🥰 Much Love to everyone out there!!
I’m not Mexican, but half Guatemalan and Salvadoran, and I feel like the ham should have been added while it was cooking rather than after the quesadilla was done.

you're right Samus, even if you're a South American hot female space bounty hunter, you still have a say on this!, that jamón would totally taste better if put there early in the preparation of those quesadillas, the only ones that don't have a say are chilangos as they clearly don't know how to prepare a proper quesadilla

I love giving tastes, I don't need gifts just give me food with care. And quesadilla is.. so tasty. I love it all ways but steak is king for me

Mmmm Tapatio with a quesadilla is THE SHIT!
All these attacks on the Asian community really gave me the initiative to start learning another language. We are Spanish speakers and this video was so nice to see. I’m gonna pick up possibly Korean, or Vietnamese. I’ll eventually work my way up to Taiwanese, Mandarin or Cantonese. It’s sad that most of the elders cant communicate that well, this is something we can relate to as elders in our community also struggle with this, so this is my way of helping close that gap. My family agreed so we will all start taking online tutoring soon.
I can see you are not a professional chef by the way you handled the knife. However, the food looks fantastic, and that salsa is the business!! 👍😄
My girlfriend is Korean and she loves when i make Tamales and Menudo and by me i meant my mother cause i can't cook no where near as good as her.
