Doesn't matter how long of a time there is between when you post, always great to see a video from you. You have a way of presenting your videos in such a way , that you come across like you're showing/ talking to friends. It's very refreshing, and makes your stuff enjoyable to watch not only when you first post but when re-watching
@@CaptainAiryca honestly you are way under rated especially with the personality and personability you you have in your content. It is well worth the wait. The way you approach the videos you put out, honestly wish more creators had that personable approach. But its what makes your content so unique and enjoyable to watdh
The Cap is back! DBK better watch out! Great extensive review I thoroughly enjoyed the whole video. I get those “pirate vibes” too lol mixed in some Ethan Becker vibes. More vids please!
Yea!! Happy to see a new review 😀, a good knife reasonable in price and quite capable of making fire. Sometimes it takes a few tries to get used to a new geometry on a blade . I am proud to see your success with feathers that quickly with that edge. Still like the Kephart blade but new stuff is always a attention getter for me like a moth to a flame .
Airyca, greetings from dry, parched Northern California. It's good to see you again. Sincere thanks for sharing this very informative video. You did a great job. That is a good looking 🔪knife. All the best to you for your good health and safety. 🤗
Just found and subscribed to your channel. Love hearing a woman's perspective on knives - often identifies things that others miss or don't mention. Simply on value for money I love Condor knives. Yeah occasionally quality can be inconsistent (although they are getting better) but what Joe Flowers and his team don't know about knives isn't worth knowing. Thanks for the vid.
Was great seeing you getting some time in the woods for a knife review, my friend! I've been partial to Condor Knives since the Terrasaur was released (my first real knife review, and I still carry it and love it a year or ever how long later). Excellent review, looks like a solid companion for the day pack or camping trip to me. Price wise it's not far off from an Esee 5, I wonder how they'd compare 🤔 (I miss my 5, sold a few things on ebay recently to finance something). Looking forward to your next review, and seeing the whole family out enjoying hikes and gardening. Great video, makes me want to get off my lazy bum and get out in the woods 😊✌
I am not a huge ESEE fan (company is cool though) because of the ergonomics are lacking. I can't remember if the 5 had the more comfy handle? That would be critical for me. Glad you enjoyed! And yes, get to the woods my friend!!
@@CaptainAiryca you can get the ergo-friendly "3D" handle on all of the 3-6 (not on PR4). I had a 3, 4, PR4, 5 and 6, all of them except the 4 had the 3D handles, I loved them, still have me 3 and 4 but they're on ebay as we speak.
You look and sound good. I hope all is well with you and yours. Watching this gave me an idea... A grab and go fanny style pack with a heavy belt that can handle a holster, sheath, mag carriers, whatever. Maybe someone makes something like that and I’ve just not seen it. Glad to see you make another video. You do a great job. You’re very humble and gracious. It makes for a very pleasant video. Looking forward to the next one. I’m curious, what is the make and model of your revolver?
Thank you, I always thought a belt rig set up would be kinda fun. My revolver is a Taurus 65 in stainless steel. I like it a lot even though it's not fancy. Appreciate you watching, thank you!!
Nice video. Certainly better than any I've done. I remember there was a pass around before these went into production and someone nominated me to be one of the folks to try it out. I was quite flattered because I didn't, and still don't, consider myself any sort of authority on the subject. Unfortunately I only got to go out with it once because a wildfire burnt up the area I usually go to. What little time I spent with it though I really liked it. I was actually looking at his knives the other day. I should really get one for myself.
Mint oil (not extract) does help against biting insects in my experience over the years. Anything like Tiger Balm or Vicks with menthol in also helps. Applying it on your lower legs can also prevent ticks from being interested. Neat knife!
Something I really like about this video is that it’s unpolished. When the knife was biting into that wood you didn’t make excuses and blame the knife. This is like an everyday person knife review. I’d like to know your thoughts on the condor Selknam.
That's a nice knife, but I think I'd rather pick up the BOB first. I've wanted a BOB for years and will get one sooner or later. Then, maybe I'll pick one of those up. Arrr me matey I sure enjoyed this video.
Great review Captain. Seems like it did everything you wanted it to do with no problems. (Although if you'd have brought an ax you wouldn't need to baton) Hahaha Just teasing ya. I'm a knife nut, I'm gonna check this one out. Anyway ty for this video and all your videos 😊
Oh man, this is the first knife review I have watched in sometime. Maybe I'm crazy but I almost care more about my sheaths then I do my knife, after all what's the ratio of in sheath time vs out?
You aren't crazy! I spent more on my bk11 sheath than the knife is worth lol. I'll have to send you a pic. That being said, knife is still #1 for me because honestly I don't wear a belt much. Most of my bigger knives are carried in my bag. But my 11 sheath has just a clip so I can wear it on anything.
Love it except for how easily it rusts (cutting the tomatoe made my eye twitch lol)and the kydex is loose without a little work and it can be switched from left to right just twist the straps up and around.works great!
haha! I cleaned it off later! Generally after using my knives they'll get a maintenance day where I lightly coat them with mineral oil after stropping/sharpening. :) Glad you're enjoying yours!
Nicely done. Glad you could get out for another review.
Thank you. It was so fun!

Great review airyca, I have considered this knife, and you have helped with my decision. Thanks!!

Ha! I love me some DBK knife videos! I want to make more, it's going to get easier over time. :)
I would watch the Captain over DBK any day.
🥰🥰🥰
Glad to see you back Airyca

Definitely some bang for your buck with Condor! And I'm glad you like my video - when it comes to reviews the more perspectives the better I think?
Yay! You’re back!
Back and forth! lol.
Thanks for this review. I really wanna get one now. Looks very cool
Great review, got me genuinely interested in this knife
Heck yeah!! It's pretty cool. I mean it's sharp and made outta steel, what's not to love? 😜
Julio is getting some great knives out. I like this one a lot.
So true! I keep this knife in my vehicle for any sort of bushcrafty needs :)

Oh man I am sorry about the wildfire. That's no good. That neat you got to try! You like knives so that gives you some authority! 😁 go get one dude!!

Beautiful knife nice review
Thank you! 😊
Do you have a review of the Condor Knulujulu knife? There seems to be none in the English language.
I don't, I'm sorry!
@@CaptainAiryca do you review knives loaned by viewers?
I have before but I am so slow to do reviews I can't commit to anything at the moment

Scandi grind isn’t the best for food prep use a flat saber grind for food prep
I don't disagree, I was just testing the knife as is! :)
If Ethan likes it,it must be good.
