Yeah, that's kinda my fear. Loved and lived with Defenders for years as relatively affordable working machines, but these great, once upon a time simple and easy to maintain machines are gradually morphing into 'rich men's' playthings... And it's only going to get worse as the available stock diminishes. I think the time is right for a manufacturer to produce another car for the masses in the Defender/Beetle/2CV vein. Simple, strong and reliable. Especially for folks like me who like to maintain and fix themselves.
You guys build some awesome machines. I have a late 2013 2.2 90 XS Black Pack with an Ashcroft Disco 2 Auto Box. Lovely car but engine is a bit agricultural and coupled with the auto box under powered. Without breaking the bank which engine and auto box combo would you fit to give refinement and make the drive more fun?

Wait..... 15:35, You say FORD made the HellCat engine. So it's not a Dodge???? In the USA, HellCat is in the Dodge Challenger, Charger & the Jeep TrackHawk.

Dodge is only a brand. Its Fiat/Stellantis
Shame UK industry is specialising in chav cars. The Range Rover is normally associated to people who can only afford to lease cars. Very sad.
