Guiding Light January 31 2002, Rick & Harley breakup at Marina's welcome home party

At Marina's welcome home party, Frank and Eleni agree that Marina should stay with Frank in Springfield. Marina is thrilled and promises to abide by all of Frank's rules, but then is instantly disappointed when Frank invites Eleni to stay with him as well. Buzz tells Holly that he has decided to spend some time with Coop and Rocky. Upstairs, Rick notes how serious Harley must be about Gus. Harley tries to deny it, but Rick thinks they need to start being honest with themselves. Rick suggests that they move on, not get married, but remain close friends and be the best parents they can for Jude. Harley agrees and they say a touching goodbye to family life.

"But I Adore You" ugh! I loved that line. I was so happy when Harley and Rick got together at first. They were my favorite characters. What could be better, but then as they were a couple I started to see that it wasn't going to work long term and they made better friends. And then o'le Gus came in to town and ruin us all LOL!! Harley and Gus were EVERYTHING! I just wish Rick could have had what they had. I know there was Mel, but she wasn't it. I honestly believe he had close to that with Abby.
