I love seeing how much you enjoy the ride Tim! I got to work as a scenic artist on this ride and it was my first major theme park attraction to work on and I was so excited to see how you felt about our work. We got to work on a bunch of awesome parts of the such as the mushrooms, mansion scene at the end, and a bunch more! Watching your videos over the years has definitely fueled my passion for working as an artist in the theme parks. Thanks for making great videos every time!
Tianna’s Bayou Adventure takes place on Avery Island. Anybody with any kind of knowledge of Louisiana’s history just had his jaw drop open in shock and revulsion. Using Avery Island as a setting for a ride is up there with using that abandoned train station and public shower facility at Auschwitz as a theme park. During the Antebellum period it was a salt mine. It was, naturally, mined by slaves. The conditions were utterly abhorrent. It was little short of a death sentence. Slaves that had proven to be too much trouble anywhere else got sent to Avery Island as an example to others. Turnover was high due to a barely in control mortality rate but since they were known trouble makers the price per head was low to begin with. So Disney replaced a problematic attraction with this??
One of my best friends is a CM and was lucky enough to be selected as a member of Tina’s Bayou Adventure opening crew. I’ve been looking for her in every video 😅
Enjoyed this second review of Tiana's Bayou Adventure. I found a website that the lap bars were installed on Splash Mountain before the reopening on 02/01/2011.
I think the ride looks much better in this video than your first run through, maybe because the animatronics are all up and running but it also looks like they made the ride slightly darker so it feels more immersive? Not sure. But I think this looks fun and will be great for slightly younger kids and those that watched the film when it first came out ☺️
Thanks for the extra effort, perhaps homework?, in showing us hidden details regarding Tiana and the whole mint sandwich food/merch topic. It’s always a good time hanging out with Tim at Disney. 😀
Thank You, "Tim" for a Great Tour of the New; "Tiana's Bayou" Adventure, it looks so Cute!! The Mickey Mint Cookie, it would be nice if they make a Mint Cookie with Real Ice Cream Sandwich; and sell it with the rest of the Mickey Bars. and oh those "Beignets" French Quarter, one of my favorite Places to Eat. 🤩🤩
So I have a question if it was an existing ride? Why are they testing it? What changed that they needed to do? These technical rehearsals in tests on it. Because isn't it just reskind as tiana's bayou adventures
The Poboy looks delish, and i wish that was there when i was there, I'd get that instead of the burger i always got. I love my French Quarter, and i hope i get to go back sometime, but no benyas for me.....
Beautiful ride and I am a major Tiana fan ❤ I hope Disney selects me. I just love Tiana ❤ I can't wait for Disneyland to get theirs going. #DisneyDiva ❤ Tiana is the best princess ❤
there used to be a lap bar on splash because i can tpull it down so far because of my prosthetics. Far enough but whoever rides with me gets a lot of room lol
Ray says he has thousands of kids, always assumed we would see a Ray Jr on this ride! Wonder if youre the first non cast member to ride it twice? Good stuff Tim, enjoy your week!😊
I'm so glad you are so open and positive about Tiana's because for a while most of the channels I watch for Disney parks content were just being so overwhelmingly negative about it and it was really bumming me out. I'm so excited to see it in person, it looks really fun! (Also the lap bars have been on Splash Mountain for a while since around 2011.)
Love the French Quarter!!! It was our favorite moderate resort to stay in. Also, mint & chocolate is BARF! I can not wait for our next trip home to ride Tiana's Bayou Adventure! I've missed that flume ride something awful.
You’re a great ambassador for Disney and truly the eternal optimist but that ride should be Splash Mountain, nothing else. Great vid though Tim, as usual.
When I was visiting my sister in Georgia a few years ago, she introduced me to a shrimp PoBoy she liked, and it was delicious! I’ve never been to New Orleans, but I’d like too 😎👍
We just got back from Disneyland Paris and they were having all the mint choc chip merch there too.... we don't even have the Mickey Ice Cream Sandwich there, so I don't get why they even had that merch.... it was on sale though, 50% off, so I am assuming they got a load of US merch shipped over or something? Because they also had the playset of Mickey and Minnie's runaway railway there on sale... we don't have that ride either, so...I don't get it. it was very confusing.... and giving us false hope too haha, I mean I would love it if they would get the regular ice cream sandwiches and M&M runaway railway in the Studios, but that's just wishful thinking I'm afraid.
How do your Ray-Ban metas handle the big drop at Tiana's with the water? I know they say to keep them dry, do you see any difficulties after a big drop such as this?
Hi Tim you mentioned you got wetter than the first time you rode it, I wonder if there is more water in the trough system, when the waterfall system isn't working?? Great video by the way
Ps: a lap bar was added to Splash Mountain during the last few years of its run, potentially because of the guest who climbed out while ascending toward the final drop.
At the time of this video (6/10 at 9:05 AM PST); if the weather continues to comply (lately it was been in the mid 70s; soon to get a lot warmer); the talk is that *Tiana's Bayou Adventure* could be opening in or around September, mid October. Really anxious to see if there are any major difference between the two. Also I am hoping Disney does not post a POV of Disneyland's version (if they do, find someone better film it). BTW is rumor that *Pascoe Bill's* will be rethemed to *Tiana's Palace,* if it does; the foods you showed will be there (maybe some new stuff too).
1) I always say this but I am truly jealous you get to try all the different tasty treats 2) I also appreciate when you feel like something isn't good! Can't wait to ride Tianas!
If Tiana is supposed to be cooking cajun food, tomatoes don’t go in gumbo! Now if she’s making creole food, she can carry on making her gumbo with the tomatoes.
Splash mountain lap bars were added in 2012 to keep people from climbing out of the ride vehicles.

"I already have some water in my mouth." 😂😂 I love Tim on rides. His commentary is very entertaining.
Thanks for the cybertruck jump scare at the very beginning there! 😂💀
Thanks for explaining the lack of Naveen. If you blink in that last scene you miss him 😂
So nice how fast the line moves when Genie+ doesn't slow it down.
What? A 90 minute wait? No thanks..
@@mikec2505 I think Tim said it was a 30 minute wait.
that's was i was thinking too..

French Quarter is one of my favorite resorts! Y'all should definitely do a stay there!
Has anyone seen if they made a nod towards splash mountain like they do for all the other rides that get replaced?
Great video. How lucky were you Tim getting on the ride just in time.
Enjoyed this second review of Tiana's Bayou Adventure. I found a website that the lap bars were installed on Splash Mountain before the reopening on 02/01/2011.
I ALREADY HAVE WATER IN MY MOUTH!
“It was icing and it was… Not good! “

TIL the water isn't necessary on the drop. I mean it makes sense, but I've never really thought about it before. 🤔
Thanks for the extra effort, perhaps homework?, in showing us hidden details regarding Tiana and the whole mint sandwich food/merch topic. It’s always a good time hanging out with Tim at Disney. 😀
The ride is really nice but I enjoy it thanks tim
There was always a lap bar on splash ! At least the one in Orlando :)
My 4 year old is watching with me and she said “aww is that Tiana’s mom?” that first time you show her going up the hill 😂
Thank You, "Tim" for a Great Tour of the New; "Tiana's Bayou" Adventure, it looks so Cute!! I'm a new subscriber I have to say loving your vblogs so much thank you you guys are awesome. Blessings to your beautiful family
Did the ride close that often before the improvements? It seems odd there are so many tech issues.
So I have a question if it was an existing ride? Why are they testing it? What changed that they needed to do? These technical rehearsals in tests on it. Because isn't it just reskind as tiana's bayou adventures
Great vlog as always - Jen and Jackson are definitely going to love it 😊 xxx
I definitely remember a bar on splash because I i got oil all over my clothes. The cast member were great and gave me a voucher x
Such a great video 🎉love the hop out for special food 😊
The Poboy looks delish, and i wish that was there when i was there, I'd get that instead of the burger i always got. I love my French Quarter, and i hope i get to go back sometime, but no benyas for me.....
It’s cool that the armadillo’s eyes follow you!
Oh no icing that tastes like medicine...what have the confectioners DONE!!
Beautiful ride and I am a major Tiana fan ❤
I hope Disney selects me. I just love Tiana ❤ I can't wait for Disneyland to get theirs going.
#DisneyDiva ❤
Tiana is the best princess ❤
there used to be a lap bar on splash because i can tpull it down so far because of my prosthetics. Far enough but whoever rides with me gets a lot of room lol
IT WAS THE ICING AND IT WAS NOT GOOD!
Ray says he has thousands of kids, always assumed we would see a Ray Jr on this ride! Wonder if youre the first non cast member to ride it twice? Good stuff Tim, enjoy your week!😊
I just realized the missing license plate from the waiting queue is in rabbit’s hand at 12:15!
It’s these tiny details that make the difference
I'm so glad you are so open and positive about Tiana's because for a while most of the channels I watch for Disney parks content were just being so overwhelmingly negative about it and it was really bumming me out. I'm so excited to see it in person, it looks really fun!
(Also the lap bars have been on Splash Mountain for a while since around 2011.)
There was definitely a lap bar on splash Tim. It didn’t start out with one but they did add them quite a few years ago.
the lap bars were put into the WDW logs on splash back in 2011! glad you managed to ride cant wait to see it myself!
Came to say I remember the lap bars because they never held me in place I would always fly up - they were useless
They were put in because people would switch seats or get into the ride all together
Hey! ❤U both! Thanks for posting
Maybe Tim should take a video with his sunglasses as it would be good POV cut aways
Love the French Quarter!!! It was our favorite moderate resort to stay in. Also, mint & chocolate is BARF! I can not wait for our next trip home to ride Tiana's Bayou Adventure! I've missed that flume ride something awful.
Always great videos man! They forgot the waterfalls!
Hey I just wanted to know about your sunglasses you have been wearing lately
You’re a great ambassador for Disney and truly the eternal optimist but that ride should be Splash Mountain, nothing else. Great vid though Tim, as usual.
Oh how depressing you won’t give something a chance. Besides I’ve heard they’re rebuilding splash mountain
When I was visiting my sister in Georgia a few years ago, she introduced me to a shrimp PoBoy she liked, and it was delicious! I’ve never been to New Orleans, but I’d like too 😎👍
I sense a Stay at POFQ soon!!! Boys would love the Slide❤
So the theme is seeking musicians? Oh so confused 😂🎉
It looks like the sped the ride up a bit.,, or am I seeing something that’s not there lol
Im super excited to ride this! I love the theme !
I’m the guy at 15:11 who asked how the ride was. Sorry if I scared you 😂
Tiana’s food menu sounds amazing, but I’m not into sweet potato fries 😝 Hopefully, they’ll have the regular option as well 🤔
are there any splash mountain easter eggs on this ride?
The last video he did about this the que line had a few things
We just got back from Disneyland Paris and they were having all the mint choc chip merch there too.... we don't even have the Mickey Ice Cream Sandwich there, so I don't get why they even had that merch.... it was on sale though, 50% off, so I am assuming they got a load of US merch shipped over or something? Holy hell. I remember watching YEARS AND YEARS AGO.
I’m so happy to see you’re thriving. I knew you’d do it.

❤ enjoy your vacation! Can’t wait for the videos ! :)
Hi Jenn & Tim! Hope you're loving your cruise!
What about a Wider Lens for Rides?
Great video Tim 😎😎
Yup, Ranitas Verdes means more specifically “Lil’ green frogs” 🐸
Thank you, 🎉 your the best
tiana's is growing on me the more i see of it, i just wish naveen was in it more but it makes sense why he isnt
hi tim is a shame that that mickey cookie wasn´t good I wanted to try it 🕸
Ps: a lap bar was added to Splash Mountain during the last few years of its run, potentially because of the guest who climbed out while ascending toward the final drop.
Does anyone else see the hidden Mickey when they come up on pumpkin Louis?
Yes. Ranitas verde is little green frogs
kinda wish they had a dr faciiler scene of him singing "are you ready" before the drop, that would have been more fitting
I feel like you travel through the final scene too quickly.
Any issues with the Meta glasses and them getting wet?
Were you able to find any hidden Mickeys
Try doing the ride at night too
Tim that a donut 🍩 not a specialty beignet lol. We need to teach you some true Louisiana cuisine
Was that a Cybertruck at the video start?
That food looked so good and I’m so hungry now lol. I loved seeing the tiny frog band at the end! So cute!
Good video, Tim.
This cookie sandwich truly looks like ice cream inside.
Pumpkin Louis the Aligourdter
There’s nothing like ‘themed’ junk food 😂
Are the cast members saying what the frequent ride failures are from ??? Hope they get the kinks worked out 😕✌️❤️
I didn't notice the frogs were tiny in the finale!!!! thats so adorable!!

Did Jackson ever go on Splash Mountain? Is he tall enough yet? So exciting to watch the kids see/experience something for the first time.
French Quarter is my absolute favorite resort!
Is the evil Dr in the ride at all ?
They’re actually was a lap bar on splash Mountain. It wasn’t to Disneyland so that probably is why you got confused.
What instrument does Bernadette play?
Happy Monday!
Right after you see Luis you see the animals playing instruments. The rabbit has the missing license plate.
ranitas verdes does men Green frogs
Tim is that the first thing you’re eating after brushing your teeth because that thing is so delicious. I love it.
Do you know because after you brush your teeth in the first thing, you eat always taste bad
1) I always say this but I am truly jealous you get to try all the different tasty treats
2) I also appreciate when you feel like something isn't good!
Can't wait to ride Tianas!
The first few vlogs of this ride (not yours) were. So boring. This is why Tim is the best. Now it is much more exciting!
If Tiana is supposed to be cooking cajun food, tomatoes don’t go in gumbo! Now if she’s making creole food, she can carry on making her gumbo with the tomatoes.
I think they get creole and cajun mixed up.
When will jen and Jackson ride it i cant wait to see there reaction ❤😊
There are 3 Laury's in the ride.
The ride is an epic fail😂😂😂😂😂
Says you. Others seemed to like it.
😂
This is my very favorite "Travel" channel
