I dont understand why Disney is still making these deluxe resorts when people are crying out for the value resorts. Do the shareholders believe that making more expensive things will drive people to the parks? My first trip to WDW was three years ago and I thought Pop Century was sooo nice! We need more value resorts because let’s be honest, value resort prices could get you a VERY nice hotel outside the parks.
I agree. I would stay at POP or All stars Anytime!!! Prefer POP to try the Skyliner.
I stayed at POP in 09 the year I got engaged ❤. I think my Son would love the Skyliner.
I also agree!! When I go to Disney, I like to stay close (free parking, 30min early entry to the parks, transportation all around at a decent schedule when I don't feel like driving, etc.). Staying off property might be cheaper for the hotel, but then you have parking fees (for parks and even sometimes for the hotel) OR a very limited transportation schedule, no early entry, and fuel costs if you drive to the parks yourself (to/from disney property in addition to driving on property, depending how far away you stay). So, all that can add up and sometimes becomes equal to (or over) the current price of a Value resort. And, when I go to Disney, I spend most of my time out and about. I don't spend it at the resort except for maybe a few hours (if that) and to sleep and potentially eat breakfast or late dinner. If I was doing a resort stay-cation, I might book a more expensive hotel, but I don't. We need more value resorts for sure!! Or, expand the ones they have. I also think it's funny that they have that quote on the back of Tiana's water tower, and yet..... here we are. More DVC instead of what's really important- more Value resorts and more customer satisfaction!
It is for DVC which is almost always max capacity at Poly currently.
I agree. Always stay at Pop, it's all I can afford when I get to go every few years. The Skyliner is awesome
Because they can sell DVC memberships for $50K+ and lock in those guests for much longer than the average 3-5 year visitor

I think selling Tiana’s beignets around the park is a fun idea. Like she’s getting the word out about her restaurant. Really excited for the ride to open. Also, my interest in the Country Bears is growing by leaps and bounds. I like the concepts and look forward to seeing it finished.
We literally have the prototype cat lady lenticular on our wall, along with the ghost ship. We also have a plaster test of the Haunted Mansion plaque from the gates.

As you enter Pirates to the right before the gift shop is a door. There is an area inside that door. I believe it’s quite large. I have a feeling that’s where the pirate bar will be.

A note on the DVC bookings, that’s pretty typical they open for cash stays for DVC members prior to being able to use points. They did the same thing for the new resort in Disneyland as well as at the Cabins at Fort Wilderness.

There is no points chart for the new Poly Tower yet. Owners can book rooms...cash only at this time. The rooms available will be duos, deluxe studios, 1 bedroom (which can be combined with studios to make a 2 bedroom lockoff) and 2 bedroom penthouses. There are no 3 bedroom grand villas in the tower. It has also been confirmed that there will e a restaurant. I am hoping that they add friendship boats for transportation to the MK.
Lari is actually under the bridge around the bend, not the bridge where the drop happens.

As much as I love Disney and go often so Disney def gets my money but…. I would never ever pay $28 plus tax for a kids shirt. They’ll either grow out of it in a few months or have it stained in a day or two. I’ll stick to Walmart, 5 Below, or even Kohl’s when they’re on sale. That’s wild!

I'm going to be heading to the Disney area next month, but I'm still kind of torn. Everyone wants at least 1 or so days of non-theme park stuff, but that would shave maybe 1 or 2 Disney or Universal parks off the list. What is the best park I would prioritize over the 4 in the resort area?

I don't stay on the Disney properties with my family. I stay at an Arib in-house or a nice hotel outside of Disney. You say your money that way. More people should do that.

FYI One of the TH-cam ads dropped the F bomb. I was shocked good thing my kid wasn't around.
Interestingly the YT ads don’t have anything to do with the creator you are watching and they have no control over them.
TH-cam chooses what ads to show you based on your viewing history, past websites you’ve visited, your age, location, etc.
I get that. I just wanted to let them know. TH-cam should be informed about it. I know Tim and Jen would not appreciate it considering they are a family channel.
