      "they ain't stupid"
      Let's see...
      Doesn't maintain a Librarium in their organization due to an unusual level of hatred towards psykers, thus denying them access not only to the powerful supporting abilities of psykers but also denies them a significant defense _against_ psykers (one of the best ways to beat psykers is to have a psyker of your own to counter their powers).
      Is constantly on an offensive crusade, which potentially causes them to provoke a number of threats to the Imperium that would have otherwise left the Imperium alone at that time.
      Maintains excessive numbers of Astartes, which draws negative attention from the Inquisition.
      Does not attempt to maintain good relations with any other chapters besides the Imperial Fists and Crimson Fists, and the Grey Knights (which is weird because Grey Knights are an entire chapter of Psykers, but they're given a pass because their gene seed is sourced from the Emperor), and as a result any call for aid would likely not be responded to except by those chapters (of which one is currently unable to do so and one would only do so in very specific circumstances). Relations are ESPECIALLY bad with the "Unforgiven" (Dark Angels and their successors) and with the Salamanders (for their decision to assist with refugee support and defense rather than fighting on the front lines).
      Does not attempt to maintain good relations with the Adeptus Mechanicus, _the very people who provide them with their wargear._
      In fact, the Black Templars generally don't even attempt to maintain good relations with ANYONE except their brothers among the Sons of Dorn. They've been assholes to pretty much everyone else, they even treat guard like dirt (even more so than normal), they constantly butt heads with the Inquisiton, they give the Administratum headaches and they're just really shitty to be around. And everyone else knows that, and most likely wouldn't respond to a call for aid from the Black Templars. Honestly, I'm surprised the Mechanicus haven't cut off their wargear supplies yet. It's never good to bite the hand that feeds you.
      So, no, the Black Templars _are_ stupid.

    As funny as this is, one of my favourite games as a Tau player was against Black Templars. Back in 3rd ed, played a game of Tau V BT and came down to the last round where there were only four units left in play: An Emperors Champion leading his retinue, a Marshal leading another unit, and two Firewarrior squads. The templars had taken a couple of casualties, but both above half strength while the firewarriors were at full capacity. There was no way I'd pull off a win, but I wasn't going to get salty and forfeit. Pressed against the back edge of the board, I had to take the charge, and it was looking nasty... until my opponent rolled his dice.
    Two marines hit. Out of both squads. They did wound and I failed my saves, so that was two less Firewarriors. The EC and M were going at bottom initiative, so my firewarriors went next. more than half the attacks hit. More than half of those wounded. Four Marines failed their saves. The EC missed every attack, while the marshall landed three. He rolled two 1's on three dice for damage with a powerfist.
    Tau won combat. Against the Black Templars. I can't remember exactly but I have a feeling the rules used to be that Marines would run from combat when defeated, but would auto-rally at the start of their next turn. So as they were running on the final turn of the game they counted as defeated. Over the next week I converted four of those tau to wield chainswords and have Black Templar body parts on their bases. The BT player and I had a good laugh about it next time we played against each other.

      @commandercritic9036 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@angrykobold5970 4+ ballistic skill is average, and what I expect of someone who hasn’t received special forces training. Also, u gotta remember, Tau are even shorter lived than humans, so the fact that they can train their troops to be as effective at shooting as basic guardsmen, in a MUCH shorter time is ASTOUNDING. What’s more, being a shooter army is not about the accuracy, I mean, it’s NICE to have the accuracy, but that’s not the core of the army. The core is how all the different pieces fit together. Take those marker lights for example, they provide bonuses to your army for shooting whatever has been marked, making it easier to take that target down.
      It’s not possible points wise, nor effective to have a marker light unit for EVERY other unit in your army, so instead, u give yourself enough to mark up the most dangerous units in your enemies army, which at the start of the game, is ANYTHING that can shoot u back, and hit hard in doing so, such as artillery, tanks, aircraft, or specialised infantry. You then use your marker lights, to make destroying these targets, easier for the rest of your army, and u devote specific units to certain tasks.
      Example, does the enemy have a lot of tanks? Well, mark up the most dangerous vehicles, and unload your heavy ordnance upon them, while your infantry focus on pinning down the enemy infantry, if they have any.
      What about a swarm army, such as the Nids or Orks, well focus the fastest targets first, as an army based around firepower, it’s important to keep the enemy at arms length, so taking down the units which will most likely reach u first is the best course of action.
      Again, accuracy is not the issue, and if you think it is, your playing the Tau wrong, the Tau are closer to modern militaries, that we have today, than all of the other factions in 40k (possibly the reason their so unpopular as their the ‘been there done that army’), they work on a system of integrated and interconnected military tactics and units, with each unit supporting the other. WHY for the love of god, do you think their army passive, is a blanket support fire Overwatch system that NO other army has.
      Tau accuracy is perfectly fine, both game and lore wise, I’ve almost NEVER had a problem hitting something with Tau shooting, if anything, I tend to go a little overboard… I’m kinda partial to High Yield Missile pods on Broadsides… yea… you DON’T want to be in the way of that, TRUST ME.
