    Nami uses a sinewave controller, it applies power smoothly. Dualtrons use squarewave controllers, efficient at high speed but power delivery kicks like a mule. I prefer sinewave controllers as you have more control. It is unfortunate about your experience with the Weped FS, I own a Weped FF and is also uses sinewave controller, the power is so controllable that there are no p settings to fiddle with, just a 3 way rocker switch to select the gear / speed mode you want, I owned the FF for a year and I have never encountered issues with it. Im thinking of getting a Nami too, the water resistance is good, i see a number of them here in the Philippines being ridden in the rain with impunity

    • @GingerOnWheels
      @GingerOnWheels  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Bronco, Nami, Weped and King GT are the sine wave champions right now for sure. There is no doubt sine wave is better. The way this Nami fit my bigger frame way great too though.
      Good to know about the Nami water resistance, too!

    Hi, you know that you rode the Nami in "middle" settings? It was on S Mode and while you can set up each mode I guess that the Burn-e was set standard to middle fast acceleration. That means you could have a bit faster response in acceleration if you wanted but it will still not be as instant as with the Dualtrons. I have measured 0,35 seconds from finger press start to scooter acceleration on the Nami and 0,15 seconds on a Dualtron. With a different throttle (that you have to press less deep) the response is a bit quicker on the Nami (0,3s). Setting acceleration slower like it was propably on the one you tested in S Mode will make the delay a bit more. Pressing the trigger slower will also add to delay (therefore I personally cha ged to one you can press faster). Fun fact is that the screen is perfectly readable at all times on the video. That tells us that the angle was bad for you in terms of reflection and better for someone smaller. For you you would have had to tilt it a bit to improve readability I guess. Check the video if it really is better then what you saw in person from your view, of course only you know how it was for you. About the wheel chatter you are right, slower suspension damping will help here but it will make the suspension a bit more firm in feeling. Using better Tires (PMT) will make the scooter more stable without sacrifice on softness if that is desired. Of course all other Scooters like the storm would benefit as well but you feel the better tires more on softer suspension. As a pro tip - you can get the PMTs now also for Vsett10+ in a 10" Version. May be a good video topic how much the tires make a difference (hint - big...)

    Good that you thoroughly enjoyed the Nami once you got a properly working unit. Was going back and forth between this and the Dualtron Storm Limited. Videos had issue for both. The Storm had controller issues and the Nami had shipping issues. The storm fixed their issue by lowering the advertised top speed for their scooter and Nami got their act together with shipping. Mine came in perfect condition. Great ride.

      @GingerOnWheels  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey, in that first video I gave my honest and personal experience with it. Over half of the USA first batch Nami's had defects or were damaged in shipping so I know I wasn't alone. It wouldn't have been fair to recommend a scooter that has a 50% chance of showing up unridable. I'm happy that Fluid Freeride got their shipping situation under control, now we can all buy Namis.

    • @LukeUtigard
      @LukeUtigard 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@GingerOnWheels yeah, but I still feel like u went out of your way to trash a great scooter at launch. U do understand how that can really ruin a companies reputation since they only have one model at the time; and it was more of a shipping issue then the scooter itself...
      I'm sure u got great view analytics for that video with such controversy on a new scooter and other channels reviews.
      Well played sir. Lol

    • @GingerOnWheels
      @GingerOnWheels  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@LukeUtigard that was definitely not the goal and the video didn't get that many views or generate new subscribers. In fact, I earn commission on Nami sales from Fluid so I had great incentive to make the scooter sound great. I just wanted to make a video warning people about the scooter because a good portion of them were literally unable to be ridden. Now that the situation has changed, I'm happy to recommend the Nami as one of my top choices.

    Hi from Oz ginger,
    When are you getting your hands on the new 2 x 2000w wolf gold gt . Before I pull the trigger on big scooter ( I have the phantom 60v v2 and loving it now.)
    I'm 285pds and at $6K aus for this new wolf and illegal to ride here anyway, I want to be sure.
    I would Alababa it, but a had the phantom v1 with multiple serious issues and was damn glad I brought thru dealer locally, who obviously replaced it with v2 when they finally arrived 10 days ago.
    The 2 x 1500w Nami is the other option, i do like the wolf option of wide handlebar twin post construction and the access to controllers with turning lights on the side is brilliant, bright screen and better accelerator, (not a fan of the minimotors or q4 thingys anymore, never seem comfy with the high acc / low brake set up.)
    Not looking to go faster than 60km, but like to power up some gnarly tarmac urban hills without washing speed off to 25km. Yep, steep hills and a heavy load will do that to 2 x 1200w / 60v motors
    i beleive bothe the burni and new wolf will be similar bucks here. And also wondering if the burni has an update on the cards now at 8 months old and first gen, im sure theres stuff to just do better and waterproof etc?
    Love your show. Jesus comes soon, keep looking up, Dee from Oz.

    I concur with your assessment of the VSett 10+. That scooter rides so smoothly and I love the clearance it gives which makes it an off-road King. I easily cleared taller curbs and anything else the city would have to throw at it. If it hadn't been for the awesome deal I got on the Dualtron Eagle Pro ($1600 & 130 miles on it basically new) I would have gone for the VSett.
    I've had my speed freak days and my focus is more on longevity of the things that I buy and quality. I wish nothing but good luck to those who buy the Nami and wish the company success.

    Using this scooter for short commutes is the way to go, as it makes it really fun. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxvyNuxpWiHTNypxG6nyqyf7ywc7Q16PDM Both the levels of speed it allows you to use are very fun, though 20mph can get pretty scary on bad roads. It makes a cool electric sound as it is accelerating. The battery life is also pretty impressive, as I can go anywhere around me within a ~10 mile radius and back home with a full charge. I expected the tires to feel somewhat like a toy, but it is legit, and has pretty good grip on surfaces. Braking on this scooter is also really fun, since you can even do a little drifting if you break hard. The wheels on the scooter are definitely very high quality, as they are wide and well sized. The entire scooter is pretty high quality too. I have fallen on it a couple times because I was being a little reckless, and the scooter still works perfectly fine, with some minor scratches on the sides. I found the brake lights to be very cool as well, since they flash when you brake.

    dont use fluidfreeride to purchase a scooter from. they have become notorious for poor customer service. poor communication and response via email and phone.
