Thank you for this! YUP totally resonates with me as a Mercury in Cancer. I'm an animator and visual artist and I've always be drawn to Surrealism and Romanticism with a heavy nostalgic slightly camp feel. My work revolves around creating imaginary and dream worlds, my characters are highly charged with romantic longings almost to the point of lunacy. Like a crab I work from my home studio which I rarely leave, reluctantly venturing out into the real world only if I absolutely have to haha. I visited Pablo Neruda's house in Chile once which was a magical shrine on the ocean front full of beautiful trinkets and strange objects that he had collected, every nook and cranny full of things to marvel at. Anyway, thank you again for the greatly interesting content you produce, a lot of food for thought as usual!
Nostalgic, emotional and sentimental; yes!! When I was young I was embarrassed because of my sensitivity. I’m more balanced now, 53 years old, and I try to embrace my sensitivity and see it as a gift. I have my cancer mercury in my eight house trined to Chiron and Neptune. Song and music is a big part of my life. 💫 🎶💙
Maya Angelou had Mercury in Cancer. When she was a young girl she was sexually assaulted & she only told a man in her family about it right after it happened. A few days later the man who assaulted her had been kicked to death. Young Maya realized that words had the power to kill and she became mute for SIX years. Such an impactful story of trauma turned into power over the course of time. Trauma around words & feminine sexuality being the anchor through which one of the greatest writers/speakers we were blessed with came through. Mercury in Cancer always seems to have an anchor in their past that keeps them on path when all else feels lost, even if (and especially) when that anchor was a physical/mental trauma. In my own personal life Cancer is in the 8th house conjunct Chiron, South node. In my Placidus chart, which feels more psychological & personal for me (that which isn’t readily apparent outside of myself to others the way the whole sign house system demonstrates) I also have Venus, Mars, & Jupiter on the cusp there and cancers and I don’t really ever seem to get along. I usually tend to feel more living towards them but usually am so heavily judged by them & receive this very overt & sometimes cruel rejection of them in one form or another. It really hurts. There’s usually a draw to me in some way & that draw turns into not just a distaste but a repulsion. I don’t understand that. The truth around that through myself & my own wounding & personality is very obscured to try and heal. No verbal communication to help me resolve & bridge. It’s painful when your existence is a source of disdain without really understanding why. Great job on your videos Adam
As a mercury in cancer I can say that everything you said was totally accurate for me ; love romance , nostalgia , whodunnits , crime drama exec etc. Love your words. Thank you 🙏
I love having mercury in cancer my 10th house. I talk about cooking, cleaning and decorating my home with passion.I'm a home maker. And I love it. Maybe I can make it into a business, Martha Stewart style. Thank you for this and for the great idea for a career in my second half of life.
My favorite cousin has the ascendant, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Jupiter and Uranus conjunct in Cancer opposing Mars. She was a shy and quiet child, secretive, empathic and difficult for most people to know. She's the family historian as well as a fabulous cook. Her greatest joy has been in her role as a mother, and she fought fiercely to defend her children and their righr to be individuals. Her youngest is 32, but he still lives at home and seeks her counsel often. Despite life having dealt her some great hardships, she has retained a lovely childlike quality.
Mercury in Cancer and ascendant in same. I can validate the storytelling, repetitiveness in communication (when tired), collecting sentimental things/stories, being effusive then backing away emotionally, concerned with women's issues, going thru domestic phases... :)
Love your reference to The Secret Garden. Austin Coppock describes the second decan of cancer as a "walled garden", essentially a greenhouse. A place of cultivation and refinement, where Mercury can get very secretive and selective of who to allow in and share secrets/ resources with.
Totally, brother. I have natal Moon/Mercury Cancer conjunction in 3rd house. Nostalgic, brooding, and deep. Give me that one-on-one connection. I’m struggling in this pandemic because the connections feel so superficial. :/ I will say that it feels like coming home when I see/hear you. It’s soothing to say the least. Several friends and family whom don’t know you, have gotten readings from you that I gifted them, also mention your gentleness and overall calming demeanor 💖. Be well! Love You.
Great lecture as always! Thank you. I have natal Saturn in Cancer 14 degree 10th house and mercury retro makes me get in my memos about beloved friend and family in Ukraine I miss 15 years since I moved in USA alone. I just start my day with morning cry right before my coffee shower time and Acyuta-bhava morning lecture ))))
I have a Mercury in cancer in the 1st. I remember my crib & dreams and nightmares I had in that crib (before I was 3). I studied Translation Studies and first book I translated is Zweig's Buried Candelabrum (book begins with crowd hype in an arena fight & ends with God sending a message with the moonlight) & I became known for this translation😍
Libra rising and I have a Cancer Sun, Mercury, Venus, PoF stellium in the 10th house with a Pisces moon and this resonated so deeply, you listed all of my inspirations I’m in awe. My mother told me that playing The Wizard of Oz was the only thing that would soothe my crying whilst she had to tend to my twin. My birthday is tomorrow and I’ve been studying my chart intensively thanks to your videos and guidance. This crab has emerged on the coast after seeking sustenance and I’ve realized it’s within me. ♥️
I have mercury in cancer in the 9th. I’ve always loved foreign language and I’m fascinated by studying family and genealogical astrology and discussing religion
Acyuta you got Anderseon Cooper down. He used to work in my bldg in NYC when they were building the Time Warner Center in Columbus Circle and they moved CNN to the Time Life bldg. He is very soft spoken, kind, and down to earth. And that was just in the company cafeteria! Put it this way he Paula Zahn and Connie Chung were all there at the same time and Anderson was by far the most normal down to earth famous person of the 3! And he grew up seemingly disconnected from that so yes you got it right!
I love his music too. And also had to look up the cause of his early death info, and saw he had Moon in Scorpio which explains why I am drawn to him (same placement).
The Secret Garden's my favorite too! I don't have major Cancer placements, except for North Node in Cancer & Moon in the 4th house. I have many many planets in the 12th house. Most of my placements are Fire. I loved that there was such Vibrancy and love hidden. Possibly appeals to me because I have lots of fire placements in watery houses.
I’m Sun, Mercury in Cancer in the 11th house conjuncted about 4 degrees, I like to write and perform song vocals and find myself very emotional upon my delivery
My Dad has both Sun and Mercury in Cancer too, but in 12th house. His Taurus Moon conjunct MC. He is a lawyer but he likes writing poems secretly, some gentle romantic touch also eloquent and sunny☀️(Leo rising).
Wow how interesting! I have mercury in cancer in the 8th and of course love Jung and Neruda. So it’s a big compliment. I found Secret Garden super scary and couldn’t finish it, Bambi too. Guess it’s my 8th house and Cancer stellium. I’m a filmmaker and psychic spiritual consultant
Having my mercury in cancer I feel the need to express what can't be expressed in words. I also am a painter and feel like my duty is to make the invisible visible.
Everything You said resonated deeply as always. Cancer sun and mecury in 9, moon in libra 12th house, Venus in Gemini and asc Scorpio conjunct neptun. Highly sensitive/intuitive, like to talk only with people I trust. Thank you for sharing your wisdom.
The side-stepping crab nature of my partner's mercury placement in Cancer can be so frustrating! When I ask simple yes or no questions he has the habit of answering with vague, obscure responses - not just a yes or a no. Mercury in Cancer offers him great qualities as well, but this is something I can't help but notice. At least now I have some perspective on this quirk of his. 😬
Sun/mercury in Cancer, and I feel a bit of crossover in understanding what is sun and what is mercury (maybe it’s all counterfeit expressions of the moon :P) I feel it in the nostalgia, deeply, and the interest in the unconscious and secrets.
It would be interesting to hear what the sect of the example people were and how that made a difference to their expression. Impressed with the new add ins to the videos :)
Love the secret garden moon in cancer 10th and Mercury retrograde in 8th but right now Mercury is in Cancer love writing poetry. Really enjoy you talks thank you.
I have mercury in cancer on my ascendant. I am very level headed however I hate emotional dishonesty. If you hate me just say it. If you have an issue with something let's talk about it and understand the emotions behind myself and others. Mercury in cancer people come across as invasive because we can see that others are hiding behind a mask. The mask keeps us from understanding each other. I am also a truthseeker and people do not like that either. When people are not emotionally honest and want to project onto others to keep themselves safe...a mercury in cancer can become a little emotionally unstable. It's more of a frustration due to others not being emotionally honest. Without honesty you can not have connection, trust, or love. I also believe that mercury allows access to the unconscious and collective unconscious when in cancer. I have found when people are confronted or mirrored their shadows they do not like it. When you question others about their behavior I have found that they immediately will project it back onto you so they don't have to deal with it. Now that I understand Astrology, I hear others actually speak their chart by the words they choose. I collect crystals and stones! Lol
My mercury is in cancer on the asc. and conjunct the sun, also in Cancer. It is close to Uranus in Leo. I do have a quick mind but also some intuition.
My greatest talents are writing, photography and cooking, all of which fit. My moon is in scorpio conjunct Saturn. Because the Moon is my ruling planet I feel the Scorpio energy strongly.
Hi I am a Cancer, with mercury 23 degrees in cancer/ in the 5th house; however it squares Jupiter 22 degrees in Libra ( 7 house) and Mars in Aires 1st house 17 degrees . The most I can think to say is that it expresses itself creatively. I thought I would create art , however I have created homes (4th house sun) and now gardens. I do feel like people don’t listen very well. Also I have a very good sentimental memory. You have any idea’s?
8h Cancer sun 28° 8h Cancer Mercury 13° trines my 4h Saturn 🤦♀️🙏 & part of a grand water trine with Chiron & Neptune. All the clairs. Especially around water 😂♥️
Reiterating the post below. I'm starting to listen to one of your videos to start the day. I have Moon in Cancer, not Mercury. I have studied a lot of foreign languages (Moon in 9) and it seems that I always have a good accent (mirroring?) even if I'm terrible at that particular language (like Russian). I have thought it had to do with musical ability. ?? Mercury is in Aquarius at my IC. Hmm. Oh ps - I try to leave a comment so I can remember what videos I've already watched!
Yea, this wasn’t for me. I wanted to like this, bro. Nice long detailed video, telling me more about characteristics of my sign in Mercury, i liked your voice, i liked the history and i liked the beginning. Im one of the ones who don’t like hearing about “celebrities” I really wished this wasn’t about celebrating Mercury in Cancer signs of celebrities … but Im glad evryone here seemed to enjoy it. maybe time stamps next time, so we can shoot right to the things we do want to hear about- I know you’ve been doing this a long time. But that’s my 2 cents.
I love the writing of Pablo Neurada; however that was not his birth name and his original writings were published under Pablo because her was a Senator of Chile, during a period of unrest. “DescriptionRicardo Eliécer Neftalí Reyes Basoalto, better known by his pen name and, later, legal name Pablo Neruda, was a Chilean poet-diplomat and politician who won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1971.” Pablo as his invented person. Interesting to your theme. Now please tell me about mercury in Scorpio and why I’m drawn to know all the details. Teasing not teasing....I really enjoy listening to you.
I’m learning astrology and I love your channel but on a side note you have the most soothing voice ever.

I LOVE Lana. And the lessons you share. Maybe it's because I'm a cancerian, too!
Oh dear, Secret Garden is my favorite childhood story too. My Mercury is Capricorn♑in 8th. The house position tells the proclivity for the secrecy. 😁
I have Capricorn moon in the 8th. I UNDERSTAND! Blessings!

If I were the president, dealing with this huge swamp, I'd feel like I was having mental illness too. We need to pray for him.
He hired the swamp. Natural consequences.

Gene Wilder in young Frankenstein is my fav !

He has mercury in the cancer in the 3rd house so that's why there is that Gemini feel
