I love using alcohol inks. I have avoided using them lately so I could stretch and expand a bit. I used heat a time or 2 to move the colors (for a cup that I wanted swirls). After over heating the inks, I went to my good hair dryer. On low heat, the ink does move more gently for cups that need movement. (Just throwing that in). I love this. Thank you. Needed this
Make sure you are prepping your tumbler. Sand with 180 grit sanding block then wipe down with 91% alcohol. Make sure it’s a new cloth or new paper towel. Don’t touch, use your tumbler arm to spray paint.
What else causes the "fish eyes". I keep getting them after I use the alcohol inks on my spray painted tumbler. Could it be the alcohol ink? I have tried wiping them with alcohol prior to putting the epoxy on to get any oils off. Help!!
Is there a way to fix beach scenes that have already cured? I did the same thing you first did; I used way too much ink the first time around. I’d really hate to call it a loss though.
If I want to add a little glitter to the sand, can I do that after the brown ink? I kinda want the glitter in streaks if that makes sense? Same in the white where the waves break, or the froth. Any suggestions?
I spray paint mine white and put fine white glitter over the entire cup before I do the alcohol ink. The glitter just peaks through in small areas and adds just a little bling to my beach. It almost looks like the sun is sparkling on the water in places.
Definitely going to do this after my Valentine’s Day challenge

I’ve not tried a beach theme as of yet. I decided to start in your older videos and work my way up.

Hello, do you have a tutorial on the machine that turns tumblers?
Where did you get the turner from?
I know you said you made your homemade light blue with permanent markers. Can you explain how you did that. Ty Loved the video
How many tumblers can you make with 16oz bottles of parts A & B?
Hi, so are you saying to spray with clear mat before applying the epoxy? I have been getting some fish eyes on my tumblers.

You may be adding too much heat to your tumbler once your epoxy and inks are on. Heat will separate the epoxy and inks
Did you serve in the army?
Is thia epoxy strong smelling?

Hi, what is this for a machine?
Do you ever have issues with the alcohol inks repelling when you apply it.

kahnesmommy You can add glitter to the epoxy or sprinkling some on top after you finish the design and let the glitter dry with the tumbler

Do you make your own turners, I am in Australia and no idea where to buy or how to make?
Kathy Bury check out Fenterainment channel, he has several great videos on how to make your own turner.
Amazon that’s where I got mine
what colors of ink are you using?
Domino Moody in the description and she said it in the videov
Do you epoxy after applying ink???
I just saw a video on making homemade inks
If I have a colored tumbler do I need to sand off the color or just “scuff” it before I work with it? Still need to prime it as well ?
Sandy McFerran I would wipe it down with alcohol, spray paint it flat white and it’ll be ready to go! :)
sand it until on the shine is off
What brand or what product do I use for white? I used the mixitive but don’t like that
Becky Alambar I didn’t use white since my base was white. I used spray paint. But, I use Tim holts brand when using white alcohol inks Color: Pearl
Becky Alambar piñata brand is what I see others use
