    How did you get that pattern on the one that is already turning? That looks amazing. I like the blank black spots in it.

      It’s white acrylic paint mixed with the resin in a medicine cup just a few drops , the other tumbler I used white alcohol ink in the resin

    More information needed. Please provide description of products. Love your machine and the arms that are on it. Give details. What did you mix the white paint with?

    • @artistrybysusan3595
      @artistrybysusan3595  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I mixed the white paint with is resin epoxy , the inks used were a combo of ranger inks and piñata inks , epoxy used is ksresin .

    Where did you get your turners from? I've never see arms/attachments like that. 😍
    Also, do you have any tips or tricks to applying vinyl straight?
    Thanks

      The Tumbler Grip - for the turner

    • @FC-kw4mw
      @FC-kw4mw 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      What helps me with vinyl is to apply it upside down. I err way less when my cup is flipped for some reason. And use a transfer tape with a grid overlay on it so you can square off the cut and use the cup bottom as a level. Clear vessels are easy you can just fill with water and use the water as a level! It also helps to use parchment paper to test your placement before finalizing. You can see right through it and correct positioning before removing it to lay the vinyl. Depending on how large your design is, using a warp too in editing can help your design conform to your cup shape better, sometimes that’s the real problem.

    I love the effect and I love the video in whole, but word of warning: I heard that lately there has been some data about dangerous chemicals from epoxy being able to enter through the gloves on a microscopic base. I am not sure how extensive this data is or how true (though there is no reason to doubt it), it was just something a chemist friend told me. I also use a lot of epoxy and get it a lot on my gloves in the process, so this shocked me (we all know epoxy is toxic, but that the chemicals go through the gloves?!?). But better safe than sorry, so maybe spreading the epoxy with some brush or similar in the future would be advisable? Otherwise absolutely love the video, keep it up! :)
