  • So, many of you have asked for my overall opinion of the World cup and how it was staged in Qatar. I could of rambled on forever, but I think I have addressed and covered the necessary points!
This was how I saw and experienced it, through my very own eyes!
    That is all.

    According to statistics :
1- Because of the ban of alcohol, there were no police incidents or arrests of British/the rest of the fans in Qatar during this WC and women were more comfortable and safe, without any kind of harrassment( because no one was drunk).
regarding the ban, did you guys know that the ban of alcohol already exist in Europe in French and Spanish stadiums? So why is all this criticism for Qatar only?
2- This WC was incredibly well organised, I agree with Daniel about the idea of hosting the WC in one city. People had the chance to watch 3 games in one day ! And I saw some TH-camrs who managed to assist all games which never happened before! and just imagine the atmosphere how all the World different nations together in one area !
    - something you may not have heard about, Argentina and Mexico was the game with the most fans in stands since 94 with 88.000 fans. ( the second most attendance in the history of football).
3- Talking about the migrant workers, and humain rights, Daniel explained this point perfectly and i dont have to add more…
4- The public transports are for free.. a 5 stars metro myy days… the metro and buses are electric so more eco-friendly, the city is perfectly clean.
5- did you know that Qatar decided to donate a whole stadium (stadium 974) to under-developing countries and they will reduce the number of seats in the stadiums from 80.000 to 20.000 and the remain seats will be donated too ? Why don’t we see these thing on the British and the western media ?
Qatar offered a great World Cup and they did everything to make it possible, they have all my respect now because they faced a lot of criticism and after all they have done it right !
Thank you Daniel for sharing this beautiful experience with honesty rather than hypocrisy, I hope you enjoyed the games, the WC as whole and the final game today which was outstanding as well, best WC final ever 3-3 with penalties and the goat Messi lifted it up finally and I have to say this might be also the best WC ever seen… Thank you Daniel you have all my respect and I appreciate your honest position.
    Cheers.

Not entirely correct because I can hardly remember the metro one night but I've go pictures as I was plastered LOL! Everyone including the police helped by pointing me in the right direction as I stumbled around, I never got lost once, "metro metro this way!" Everyone was so friendly.

Media can certainly be a force for good or evil. Never forget how a Trans-Atlantic elite through the media, worked their taxpayers into a frenzy to obtain their consent and funds for an illegal war that killed 1 MILLION Iraqis. And of course, not a single weapon of mass destruction was found there... Now these elites think they are best placed to determine who should host a World Cup???

My wife was admitted to the hospital for a week because of vasculatis and to rule out everything, she undergone all the hight tech scan you can imagine (CT, MRI, ultrasound, Xray ,etc...). When she went home they gave her a month supply of steroid to treat her and muliple vitamins and we paid only around 80GBP or 100USD for her whole treatment including medicine. From Qatar , thank you for your honest review . I’m from England I’ve lived in Qatar for over 22 years my father build Al bayt stadium he was the project manager , sadly 1 man died working on that stadium over the last 8 years , he got awarded 1 million working hours without major injuries apart from that 1 death . The west has hurt us We hate the lies about Qatar and we’ve pretty much had enough of the blatant racist attacks on Qatar . I myself am Muslim my mother is white English and my father is Arab . The west has hurt us all with their lies . Only those who came here know how amazing this World Cup was and know how amazing Qatar is . The Middle East is unbeatable and the west is jealous of how the way of life is and how amazing things are here . This year my dad was diagnosed with a stage 4 aggressive cancer , and without Qatar and their amazing health care system ( one of the best in the world on par with the USA) he might not have had a prolonged life , Qatar paid for all his treatments operations and chemotherapy and medications all for FREEE as a British citizen in Qatar . You wouldn’t get anything like this in Europe , he was diagnosed, tested on, operated on , and put on a cancer treatment plan all within 3-4 weeks , while in the uk is would have taken 3-5 months just to get 1 biopsy and PET CT scan , I owe my life to Qatar 🇶🇦 further more Women’s rights are protected , women and men get free education and will send you abroad and pay for your education , free utilities for their home and free land , they pay for your weddings ,and healthcare. Women get equal pay to men here . Qatar is just amazing and the west can’t even compete and they’re so jealous .if anyone wants more information on the stadiums or anything about Qatar, please please reply to my message and I’ll help explain You’ve got my subscription cheers lad

My parents moved to middle east as migrants 4 decades ago and I have seen it all as I grew in a nation with more migrants than the natives. We migrants flok to middle east for better living. Including westerners. Middle East and Qatar provided millions of migrants much needed income unlike Europe which is actually very harsh, racist and sometimes even very hateful towards migrants. Britain exited Euro to keep migrants out.
In middle east though many migrants became millionaire establishing their generations. Millions of migrant families are thankful to Qatar for giving them opportunities and livelihood.
Europe and the west played a hateful game towards Qatar. Europe has been committing crimes against humanity by blocking refugees, a crime per international law, knowing that they will die and thousands did. Numerous anti Muslim attacks in Germany, 100s of attacks on mosque in last 5 years. France is legalizing hate and human rights abuses of its Muslim population. Same around most of Europe.
Europe only exposed its own hate towards Muslims and Arabs by this hateful campaign.
I do understand that this hate campaign was not by the general public of Europe but by its media and govts. It's also obvious who controls media and govt polices in the west.
Even as migrants in middle east we clearly see the hypocritical assault by west and understand the geopolitical motive behind this disgusting behavior.

Without doubt, there are many people here (in the UK) with varying good qualities. However, that is NOT specific to THIS "side of the world". Overall, this side of the world is one of the largest causes of greed and utter corruption of goodness. Case in point is the constant and aggressive Islamophobic narrative through the media and governments and the evil explopitation of the poorer nations in the name of "democracy" and "freedom". The educational, social and health system is an absolute scam and extremely sisnister -- to say the least. Everywhere you go, you'll find (mostly) good and some bad. When I arrived in this country in 1990, it was a billion times better and now, we cannot wait to relocate to another country. I have overpaid (through taxes) by (at least) a thousand times -- over the (not social welfare) benefits I enjoyed here. And now, it is turning into an utterly dystopian nightmare -- in a very subtle manner -- without (most of) the public even becoming aware.

@Daniaal Kahn I 100% totally agree. Like yourself, I'm planning for a life outside of the UK. It's sad how it's become. Today, for example, we have nurses, doctors, postmen, rail workers on strike. Thousands are relying on food banks for Christmas, while bills are at an all time high and unemployment at it's highest.
There is something very wrong in the UK now, and in my opinion it will never sort itself out.
Its sad and disappointing to see. We are becoming the new third world!

As someone who lived in Qatar for 12 years and now living in the UK for 7 years, it broke my heart to see how the media turned the UK against Qatar and in general, people from that region and race. It broke my heart to know that’s how they actually see us behind the curtain of ‘tolerance’ and how undeserving we are. The main reason it cut so deep is that I studied in British school in Qatar and I’ve seen how well British people live there and the brotherly treatment they get.

You say £200 a night is more expensive than in the UK, the reality is it’s not really any more. The cheapest hotel I could find for the Commonwealth Games in Manchester earlier in the year was just over £800 at a budget hotel for 3 nights. A hotel in London is usually of similar price on a weekend like the WC. Thank you for spreading a positive message, as an expat in Qatar it was incredibly frustrating and frankly embarrassing seeing what the media wrote. We have suffered a lot from this issue, but it revealed to us the falsity and lies of the major Western channels and newspapers that we used to trust in the past, but days and events made us certain that all these actions are intended and systematic to serve agendas and currents in the West, as the issue is politicized.

Well done Daniel, thanks for not jumping on the hypocrisy bandwagon and being honest about your experience which was very nice to hear. I have spoken to several people who went to Qatar and not a single person said a bad thing about their experience and all I heard were praises. A family even said they were glad there was no drinking allowed in the stadium and felt very safe with their children at the game as it was very civilised. The mother said she never allows her Children to go to football matches here in the UK with their Father!
It seems to me the main reason for the Western media's embarrassing attempts at trying to discredit Qatar was due to Qatar's stance on the whole LGBTQ nonsense, and I tell you what, we need to take a leaf out of their books and real soon too before our kids here in the UK are lost for good to this crazy agenda!

Hi Daniel. It’s so refreshing to hear the reality from someone at the ‘coal face’ that is not peddling their own or someone else’s agenda. Well done! Thx Qatar for hosting a safe, family friendly and amazingly different & memorable World Cup.
At least some of the world has spoken out against the bigotry, bias & hypocrisy of the mainstream Western media that has gone on for decades Ref: Islam, the Middle East & Israel/ Palestine in particular.
