@@isao_the_2nd Yeah, it's really between this card and the Simplii VISA Card for the best no annual fee credit card right now. No other no fee card comes close as of now
Just applied for it too as soon as you started talking. Then waited for what I needed to get the 2%, I was like I don’t want to make any mistake in this set up
I appreciate the trust. Yeah make sure you have one of those services if you wanna get the card, without having them the card wouldn’t really be worth having
Since most of the services eligible for the 1.5x multiplier would otherwise be considered Regular Recurring Payments, you'd have to compare it with that specific cashback category of other competing cards. I definitely think an honorable mention for that would be the Tangerine Money-Back credit card, because it offers 2% cashback from 3 categories of your choice, with no fee. I'm also curious if the 1.5x cashback works on other Rogers/Shaw/Fido purchases beyond services, such as a new smartphone or other electronic devices.
Hi, this card was updated just a few weeks ago. It now offers 2% cash back on everything, which if you use that cash back on Rogers/Shaw/Fido products, then it will be worth 3% cash back. Hope that helps
Hi Shervin, this is the 3rd video I watch from you today. It's great information. and I am happy I can sign up even though I am not the main Rogers account holder. Thanks for your clear explanation
Hello, as always great information. Sorry, but I did not exactly understand what happens with the credit card if we close the account with one of the 3(Rogers, fido and the other)? Does the card gets closed as well?
I don't like it because you don't get real cash deposited into your account it's just points. Not only take but you need to open a Rodgers bank account...
Fair enough, but to be fair there is a clear way to redeem the points for maximum rewards, which is paying off your Rogers or Fido cell phone bill, or your Shaw home internet. So some could argue that in this case the points are as good as cold hard cash
Nice one, I heard this card can be used at Costco stores as well, and is somehow better value than the standard CIBC mastercard Costco gives its shoppers. Is this true?
Hi, yes since it is a Mastercard you can use it at Costco, and since you can get up to 3% cash back on all purchases, this also applies to purchases at Costco. The CIBC Costco card only gets you 1%
@@dor1994you can’t get the Rogers Mastercard from Costco, you’d have to apply for it online from the Rogers bank website. Once you have the card, you can just use it to swipe the card during payment at Costco, I don’t believe you need to register it or anything
I don’t understand how you get 3% Since you get 1.5% redemption it’s not a real 3% seems like fake joy If you spend 2000$ you get 20$ back of cashback Then you need to spend that money to pay the bil exemple 20$ Fido bill they won’t give you 10$ more as it’s considered Roger’s redemption so how is this 3%
@@Ratatapa if you spend $2000, you get $40 back (2%) because you have that Fido subscription, and then if you spend that cashback on the same Fido bill instead of somewhere else, then you get 1.5x your cashback redeemed, so instead of $40 it will be redeemed as $60. Make sense?
This one is much better, the Neo card only offers high cash back rates at very specific merchants that are their partners, everywhere else they give very low cash back
I just got the card.. What I find weird though is that the rewards expire after 90 days if not used.. Unless I'm reading that wrong.. It says "you must redeem towards the purchases made in the last 90 days"
Hi, no you misunderstood the meaning. It means that when you wanna redeem your points, you can do it towards paying off a purchase that was made in the past 90 days. So for example if you buy a new phone from Rogers and you wanna pay for it with your points, you first buy it with your Rogers Mastercard, but instead of paying off your balance with cash, you can pay it off with your points up to 90 days after (but you should really just pay it off within 30 days to avoid accumulating interest)
But Shervin, how do I get both the Rogers Red and keep my Rogers World Elite card? I like the World Elite for the travel insurance etc. Pls help. And subbed for the awesome content!
You can have both, you can apply to get the Rogers Mastercard without cancelling your World Elite card, and hold both. I for example have 3 AMEX credit cards simultaneously and I use each for a specific feature. You could do the same with the Rogers cards as well if you wish. Also welcome to the community, good to have you

How much minimum credit limit do we get on this credit card it doesn't say anything on the website..?
Rogers doesn’t state what the minimum credit limit they offer is, but my guess would be $1,000
