Excellent advice thank you for sharing. People usually discover the hard way that you and only you are responsible for your safety. No one is coming to your rescue. One other item that a wise gentleman shared with me many years ago ... if you are getting into your car to drive to the local 7/11 or cross country to never leave without wearing shoes that you can fight in or walk long distances.

Great video man. I would seriously consider adding an ifak to the belt and chest rig and some extra trauma gear in the bag. If you’re preparing to possibly fight with a gun in a shtf situation there’s a good chance other people or you yourself will be hurt. Especially if you have to fight from your vehicle. We’re always so quick to get equipped to cause bleeding and few of us think about the time where we might need to stop bleeding. There were many cases during the “summer of love” where crazed leftist “protesters” assaulted people in their vehicles that got surrounded by protesters. Some of them had guns and were shot by the driver in a couple instances if I remember correctly. Another situation could be if you find yourself in the middle of an active shooter situation. Even if you act and stop them there are going to be injured victims that are going to need help sooner rather than later. Something as simple as a $30 tourniquet can save a life. Things to think about…

I think that's a good base line especially when things are more normal. with things getting more strange and dangerous is where I like the idea of scaling up, like a multi tier defense system.
normal: CC and a couple extras
unusual: more supplementals maybe a rifle and backpack and CC
dangerous: rifle maybe armor or sustainment rig. etc
