In 1v1 probably a tuck but in multiplayer games the Emu is kinda good. Sometimes there might be 3/4 seeds in the birdfeeder so you are getting 2 food potentially in grassland or wetland.
The Eastern Rosella is indeed not a great forest bird. But that’s not where you would typically play it. There are also some small tactics at the end of a round, if the other player(s) cannot spend the nectar you give them.
Might be a bit controversial, but I actually dont like the power of the Australian Shellduck (draw a card from the tray with a certain nest type) that much, and i find its highly chance based. Two main reasons: 1) birds that stay in the tray and don't often get picked by opponents are often birds that you don't want to play in the first place. 2) if you reset the tray and a good bird comes up that doesn't match the nest type criteria, then you can't take it and you reveal good birds for your opponents to take.
Good points, but I think the Shelduck is really powerful because there are a lot of great birds with the hollow nest type - Wood Duck, Pileated Woodpecker, Galah, Violet Green Swallow, Maned Duck etc. Also you can have something like a Ruddy Duck after it to draw any good birds that you reveal but can't pick up with the Shelduck. I also think the Musk Duck is really good for finding things like Killdeer, Mute Swan etc.
@@waterwallets I agree that it pairs well with birds that allow you to draw from the tray after you've reset it. I did consider that, but it's also contingent on finding those birds and setting up your engine in the correct order.
Brown Falcon great bird hardly ever fails, Galah point bomb. As always thank you for spending time to go through the birds and giving your input.
Thank you. I’m learning so much from you all too!

I’ll have to try it out more.

Good point about refreshing tray for your opponent. I didn't think about that.
