FYI, you are officially loved by every salvadoran!!!! you need to stay in El Salvador longer to try absolutely everything. you are killing it with these vids!!
By the way, just a little recommendation. Any type of sweet bread you get ,try dipping it in some coffee . the quesadillas taste so good when you dip it in coffee or hot chocolate that’s how we traditionally enjoy our sweet breads.☺️

Wow excellent video! sad you missing a tour at night in the carnitas located in the 5 avenue north or tipicos at Planes de Renderos, needless to say you need to be back and try the food at the gastronomic festival in Juayua.
@@gabrielahayes8817 you right!!! Growing up in El Salvador I know them as a “ quesadilla de queso”. I was trying to explain the meaning of quesadilla de queso and you are so right, they are never the same. Totally different baking goodies.
Actually, it technically is. Because it's a "cheese cake", a cake made with cheese. But it's not the typical cheesecake. Makes it hard to explain to people because they are so different. 😄 (Quesadilla de queso makes no sense though, they are all of queso!!! 🤷♀️. It's just Quesadilla)
@@moni_lucky1010 I got your point and you are absolutely right. Quesadilla de queso Salvadorena, can be make with many ingredients; mainly cheeses like: Parmesan cheese, cream cheese, queso duro viejo, sour cream, corn meal flour and in El Salvador taste so good because the use lard ( Manteca de cerdo) and the yeast ( levadura) is different. If you ever have a chance to travel to El Salvador and you drive “ En la ruta panorámica “ y el desvío hacia la Herradura, you will find the best quesadillas de queso. Talking about quesadillas de queso has make hungry and I will buy a couple in a nice bakery in San Francisco. 😂
Funny you mentioned you wanted some bread to dunk on the chocolate. That's one of the ways we salvadoreans drink (eat?) or chocolate, dunking pan francés. By the way, that's real artisan chocolate, the only aditive is sugar.
Hey there! I just wanted to say that I absolutely loved your video about visiting El Salvador and trying the local food. Your honesty and sincerity really stood out to me, and you're absolutely right about Pollo Bonanza being expensive. With that price, you could get so many pupusas! You're a charismatic person, and I genuinely believe your channel deserves more attention than it currently gets. Keep up the amazing work! Cheers
As Salvadoran, I believe when you say, Central America has the best chocolate. In fact, Chocolate, cheese and pupusas are the most requested products, when a relative travels to El Salvador. Quesadilla is delicious and is easy to make. I am glad you enjoyed El Salvador 👋🏻
Out of curiosity, but how long ago did you record this video? Because the capital has changed a lot since those videos were shot, and why to wait so long for such amazing videos to be posted? They simply look amazing
Hi , this is my first video here in your channel and i can say its better , cuz another people that have come only go to the "trendy" places but they don't go to authentic places as the ones that you went. My opinion about quesadillas there are better quesadillas than one you tried, because that one you tried is made by massive production and the better ones are the artesanals with real (non artificial)and tasty ingredients.
Hello where are you from? Your Spanish words are perfect pronounce,te felicito brother ,fresco de carao u have to try again,is not gasoline 😂😂😂 is something else 😂😂
I'm curious how Salvadoran feel about people moving to El Salvador? Everything I've seen and read, makes me want to move there!!! Another question... I live in Hawaii and am an avid spearman... How is the spearfishing in El Salvador?
Hey first time watching your videos! Very cool!! You should come back and go other places specially "Ruta de las Flores" in a place named Juayua 🤔 I think every weekend there's a gastronomy festival you may love it!!!
thank you for showing our culture I hope you have a great trip here on el salvador now that is safe without gangs , and the food is very tasty and very cheap by the way you have a new suscriber you are very good making videos you make it very interestings
My man getting excited over some huevos y frijoles and an El Rosario quesadilla…that’s entertaining, lol! Pollo Bonanza is overrated and too expensive for what it really is. Would never recommend that to a foreigner. Eating a lot of street food man, you must have a gut of steel…or just a whole lot of diarrhea 😅 Either way, thanks for showing your experience in our country, love you energy and positive vibe on everything. Subscribed!
Excellent video. Thank you Under 30, for sharing with us your experience with El Salvador food. I think it is impossible to trick the taste of someone who is going around the world, trying different food. I always tell myself not to enter places with big sings like the best chicken in town, or the world famous chicken, because ninety percent of the time is not true. If you had more time you should try "panes con chumpe" "coctel de conchas" or "sopa de gallina india." For desert if you can, look for "manzanillas en miel" something out of this world. All the best to you and thank you again for visiting El Salvador, I like the dinamic you have, the good cameras you use, and the way to narrate the events.
As a salvadoreans, quesadillas from El Rosario are meh to average. The real cheese quesadilla puts it to shame!! Not even close. Mister Donut have some that even tho are not the best, are pretty close to a real one. Btw, if you're still in the country, I'd recommend volteado de plátano from panaderia La Tecleña. That thing is literally ambrosia.
Quesadillas are so yummy! 😋 Now I have to try a Japanses cheese cake and compare them. And yeah, like everyone said, those are plantains not bananas. Very different, more starchy and not as sweet. Sometimes you can get tart ones, maybe they were Majonchos? They can be tart. Have you tried Salvadorean horchata? It's different to Mexican one. It's better 😅😜 I enjoyed your videos of El Salvador. 👍
That's why I love watching this compadre's videos, he loves what he does and transmits it in each video, the way he describes each meal and the ingredients, the truth is that every detail he says about our food is true! It's like eating each of the dishes that he describes to you in each video. I'm glad you had a good experience, regards 👍
Those are not bananas, those are platanos. Platano is a different kind of banana, regularly we prefer to eat fried platanos. We have other kinds of banana such as platano majoncho and guineo manzano (guineo is a synonimous of banana).
just a little clarification brother, those you were eating are not bananas , those are plantains and yes the flavor unfortunately of the fruits and veggies for local consumption are not the best quality as the veggies and fruits that are exported to USA and EU , so we left with the average and I know I live in USA the flavor of the best fruit is the one sold to other country's .Too bad you didn't have more time to taste all El Salvador has to offer , please come back and bring more friends with you . XOXO
You still went to all the crappy places with low quality food, wish you would had really tried all the same food with quality ingredients.. maybe next time you come here you can really go to different places, each department has its specialty food
Tomatoes from El Salvador don't taste as the one we get in USA, the real quesadillas, are made with rice flour, , you try chilate con nuegados, and try plantains enpanadas
I was seeing that the text said "pooping" when the word pupusa was mentioned, but this doesn't make any sense at all, the word "pupusa" is a word of our ancestors in their own language, it has nothing to do with Spanish , besides saying that I loved the video and I was surprised that you don't like the bonanza chicken, because it is a caviar for Salvadorans, I hope they have not lowered its quality as I remember it, I will be back soon and I want to go again.
First of all, pupusas were invented in El Salvador, not Guatemala and not Hondurras. I am telling you, you need someone to fill you in before you make the vids.
The best of the best 😋
