I am an actor and content creator with Hollywood credits including roles on Lucifer (Netflix), Starlight Christmas (Hallmark), JT Leroy (Universal Studios), etc. In this channel, I offer insight to Kpop performances using my 10+ years of training in dance, acting, singing and overall performance. In dance, my forte are contemporary and musicals and have done most of my performances in theatre. Yeah, I've been into kpop since 2008 and it's been a long time since I've been this obsessed, and I genuinely still have lots of groups I love. I know people debate over whether they're kpop, I don't really care what you call them, they're obviously promoting on all the kpop shows and it's not like people are going to debate whether TWICE's Japanese line is kpop when they release their song.
@@NickaLah It's funny to hear that many people are still debating the identity of XG and I don't care about that either, the same question as BTS who also debuted in America and sang English songs, what group do they want to be called now? American Pop? Should BTS change their identity?
XG deserve ALL the recognition that they received this era.
Tbh, XG choreography is always satisfied to watch 'cuz they so in sync and equally skilled.

I saw XG perform on Inkigayo and wow, they caught my eye - they blew all the GGs off the stage that night, I'm sorry [not sorry]. I don't think Left Right has a dance practice but check out the MV, its the companion to this comeback song, you will definitely like it. I love this song! These girls are incredible! If what I'm seeing in your comments are correct and Sienna LaLau is the choreographer, then their agency made wise choices with their connections and their investment. Shooting Star will take XG on a ride and they deserve all the accolades.

XG is the FUTURE! I get that it may not "hit" as much as it should in Korea because the songs are primarily in English but it's nice to see them perform on Korean music shows like M Countdown, SBS Inkigayo, etc. It's obvious the songs "Shooting Star" and "Left Right" are bangers, as a result they're getting their due recognition from TH-cam channels all over especially in North America. I completely agree with you the nostalgia of the 90s/early 2000s is craving for many music lovers out there and it's not surprising groups like New Jeans and XG (baby steps) have made that impact. I'm on that XG ride or die (aka. stan) so let's go!

I always enjoy XG music and performance. I'm not a dancer and idk how else to describe it but when they dance, I feel satisfied. Like they are all slim girls, just like ggs in Kpop (eventhough they are not KPOP) but when they execute dance moves/choreo, its satisfying coz its powerful and you can feel the energy that they are giving it their all. Its like when I look at others, I feel like they're dancing but they're either hungry/out of energy or just wants to look pretty, unlike this group that executes every move naturally and powerful. And as a girl, I feel like this is true girl crush, I can't help but support them. It's been a long time since I've seen a high caliber gg like XG and they really set the bar high since debut. Also love how they are attracting girls more than boys :)

At first I thought Hinata was a vocalist, but she is a dancer, and OMG she can sing...All of them are so talented
All of them can dance and sing, 4 of them can Rap in English, Japanese, and Korean.
Maya, Harvey, Jurin, and Cocona are supposed to be the Rap Line and yet they have vocals.
I'm just waiting for more vocals from them, especially Cocona and Hinata.
The first one I watched was the dance practice and I was instantly shook and obsessed it was soooooooooo satisfying, as you said with the neat and unique imagery which fits so well with the shooting star theme, both symmetry and asymmetry, plus they execute the clean choreo in amazing smoothness and synchronicity with the perfect amount of attitude and energy 🌠♥️ Also the melody is hecking addictive 🔥🔥🔥

XG executed everything perfectly. They hit every pop and gave the proper swag. For a usual group that sings, I never see this kind of moves. Just like what you said, they are like more of a dance crew.
But can I say this, did you guys saw when Sienna Lalau did this Shooting Star? Find it, watch her carefully. I thought XG moved exactly like their choreographers but Sienna is way way on another level. I'm pretty sure XG can do it exactly how she did it, now it makes me wonder why they didn't. For those who doesn't know, Sienna choreographed this, along with Kiel and Renan.
