So XG said they often practice without the music and just a metronome and/or singing only so that they can really see and hear the steps so they can make sure the footwork is very much in sync. They also use this time to discuss all the nuances and dynamics of each move which i think is so amazing and really shows their dedication to even the smallest things and makes them truly great dancers!!!!
@@JeffAvenue yep! Also just wanted to say i think that the loose wrist and like vibrating hands maybe be symbolic for like string puppets that are tied at the wrist and move like that. And then also imo the "exercise" dance move kinda like a double entendre meaning 1 being they have straight lines and are stiff like a plastic doll/toy and 2 the straight lines across making a scale in reference to the song lyrics "imagine a world where we could play different roles where girls can take control" and juria is tipping the balance from men to women. Just my interpretation tho. Im not a dancer at all
Something I love about this choreo too is how a lot of the movements and the formations are clearly inspired by the theme of “puppets”-one member doing a motion and the others copying as if being influenced, a kind of “daisy chain” connected/ripple effect! It really suits XG’s dance style as an incredibly synchronised group with a dance crew feel to them. And the toggling between graceful effeminate movement and hard hitting hip hop steps also makes a lot of sense in the lyrics of the song-about women claiming a more dominant and controlling role, inverting the doll-like feminine image as they become the ones who play with/control the dolls (even as that is still a very feminine image itself!)
yeah this always pissed me off. as a mainly jpop fan, seeing an award show that calls themselves asian awards and dont feature other artists from outside korea (but feature dua lipa) is kinda sad
Your reactions are my most sought after and most anticipated for not only anything XG, but any dance choreography. The way you break down and analyze the symbolism and also the stylization is top tier. 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks for the reaction. I find watching the reactions of those with professional skills adds to my enjoyment and appreciation of the original song/video. It’s like watching a movie and afterwards searching a “meaning of the ending” video to explain what I just watched (e.g. 2020’s Korean thriller The Call).
What I find really amazing and insane at the same time is when they switch formations where one member is in front and one member as at the back switch positions. The member in front doesn't even have to look behind her. And they don't bump into each other. It's like they have eyes behind their heads. They basically programmed themselves when and where to move. It's really amazing
XG is spectacular, they command attention and give on every level every time. All time favorite group and I always get so caught up on the vocals and the mood an story they tell - while still enjoying the dance crew level dancing - that I really can’t step back to analyze everything that goes into these top tier dance practice, performance, and Music videos. That’s why I love and really appreciate your insights, breakdown, and practical feedback. Can’t wait to dig into more of your content outside of XG! Ohh, and can’t wait to see what you say about some up and coming groups, like One Pact who just released two pre-debut performance videos that have strong dance focus (Jong Woo and Yedam from Boys Planet) and exceptional vocals and rap (Jay Chang from Boy’s Planet and TAG from Ciipher)!
You should also check out the dance relay versions of "Mascara", "Shooting Star" and "Puppet Show" which I think of as remix versions of the original choreographies.
will you be reacting to ateez san dance/performance cover ? it’s by far the most beautiful thing ive seen released i was left speechless would love to see ur reaction to it

oh nice! this is normally done while marking only but not when in full out mode so this is very interesting 😮

only group where it's valid to choose another bias on each of their song,
haha me bias hopping
Their performance in studio choom was so beautiful

Thanks for always supporting our queen's XG thanks 🙏❤
i think xg would slay an award show as well. sadly, mama didn't invite them for the year end show. i thought the a stands for asia, i wonder why.
IKR like ???? It’s more Korean award rather than Asian 🙄🙄🙄
yeah this always pissed me off. as a mainly jpop fan, seeing an award show that calls themselves asian awards and dont feature other artists from outside korea (but feature dua lipa) is kinda sad
Their dance skills are seriously insane.🔥 Thanks for loving reaction to XG👽💗🐺

Sienna on SWF3 would literally kill me 😂❤
right??? i hope she does it!
in the new dance vid, Jurin got the dance moves from ob serving the dog walker/lady putting perfume on her wrists!

Omg thank u for the reaction
The multiverse video was shot in LA. There is a great little BTS video they did and it's just so wholesome!

I love how throughout the whole choreography they literally act like puppets at time
i hope they could go to awards shows too! but i don't think they're getting the invites 😭
16:51 I always noticed Jurin more than the others on that move cause of her facial expression and hair
リアクション待ってました❤
ぜひKCON LA のTGIF 観てください!

Thanks a lot for this really fun reaction! Could you please do an XG marathon by reacting to their XG moves, vox and tapes? That would be amazing!

Thank you, Jeff for noticing that. I've been trying to tell people for months nobody seems to get it
