For everyone having this problem in 2023, the solution is to check cables from roof switches. Cable goes under the roof on the passenger side. The weak spot is place where they bend at the hinge roof- back window. In my case they were ripped off in this spot. if this malfuncrtion comes sudden, after a long time of reliable work of roof i think you can be sure that is something with connection to the roof switches. They are ultimtye sensors which gives the signal for triange windows motor to up.
Hej Torben. 🙂 On my SLK it was the microswitch inside the trunk lock in the middle. For me i helped to open and close the trunk and then it worked again. I did some adjustments and then it worked fine again. It seems like the car doesnt understand that the trunk is closed and then it doesnt work. Good luck
Hey! I had the same problem and I fixed it. For me, the problem was not with the windows but the trunk. When the trunk comes back down after putting the roof up, it does not lock properly on the right and left sides, mainly the right side for me. The rear windows won't come up until the trunk is locked properly. To solve that, I put my hands on the front right and left corners of the trunk after it has closed and press down gently. The windows come up after that.
It's defo the micro switches under the head lining. I had the same issue. The whole sequence is has an order. Once the roof locks in the micros send a signal to your rear quarterlight glass

Any chance you might simply explain in a few words what it was; people who have a problem as such, can't wait month for your video... I'm not being an ass and I also don't have this problem because I don't have such a car, but some might really need this info...

after reading your post I went back in the garage and pressed down like you said; that did not work initially so I opened the trunk and put both hands on the right side trunk latch frame and pushed up and down a few times and it locked. Sat in the car turned on key and pushed forward on the switch and the rear windows went up.
