    I race 2005 250x, with resprung/re-valved suspension. Ive considered moving to more modern bike, but the ole Honda still gets the job done.

      Yeah, they still hold their own with new bikes. Thanks for watching!

    Nothing better than getting a great deal on something barely used. The 250x will be fun bike to keep around, a nice no frills off-roader, reminds me of my old XR400, but better.

    2004 is the first year, I just bought one actually and fixing it up. It doesn't start and am figuring out why. These are great bikes, I use to have a 2013 Wr250f and miss that bike.

      It probably needs a valve job.

    Nice bike Donnie it's amazing that Honda didn't have EFI in them by 2015. So is this the end of the 2T....

    hey man i recently rebuilt the engine on my 2006 crf 250r and after 20 hours of riding i cleaned the carburator and readyusted the idle so it idles a bit lover and i started hearing a weird clickig sound but only when the bike is at idle i think either the timing chain needs to be adyusted or maybe the decompresion valve makes that sound , i really love your videos and hopefuly you can replay and say what you think its wrong wit it

    Yet the current market value will have that on FB marketplace for $4500!! Prices are insane currently. Which is bad for me as Im looking rp replace my dirt only machine I had to sell during the midst of the pandemic. I need another Honda in my life cause all I have hanging in the closet are variations of red power ranger suits LOL!

      @DirtBikingwithDonnie  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, that is true. The current market for used bikes is a little crazy. Great if you’re selling, not so great if buying. Thanks for watching!

    Sounds like the bike is treating you well. Is the Ridge open to the public?Dont know if we will be able to with this virus stuff but thinking of taking a vacation to somewhere that I can ride the KTM. I had a 2012 450x and as you said it ran so lean off the showroom floor that it didnt want to run or start. I like the 2 stroke mostly because of the heat and noise that the 4 stroke puts out. Stay safe

      @DirtBikingwithDonnie  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, open to the public. Fri, sat, sun. They have camping and a lodge. Contact them on FB, they are very responsive. Let me know when you’re going.

    It's weird how Honda never changed that bike or put the electric start on the r model during that stretch of time .

    • @DirtBikingwithDonnie
      @DirtBikingwithDonnie  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, they kind of sat back and let the other manufacturers pass them, but they seem to be catching up now.

    I DONT WATCH ANY CARBURETED BIKE VIDEOS , SORRY bwhaha :D good riding , that single track does look nice ... i would like to see how much grunt that bike has compared to the yz250fx

    • @DirtBikingwithDonnie
      @DirtBikingwithDonnie  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Haha, no, it does not have the grunt or the power of a YZ250FX. I will have one of those in my garage eventually. Thanks for watching!

      I doubt the Yamaha handles as well as the Honda.

    When I started trail riding I was looking for a 250X but could not find one for a good price. I would still like to get one if I found a good deal. Not sure I have room for another bike though. I was hoping to go riding this weekend but it is raining.

    Donnie when you broke your collarbone did you get surgery and the plate and pins installed? If it healed naturally did it leave the bone bulging in the front out of line or did it heal almost perfectly?

    • @DirtBikingwithDonnie
      @DirtBikingwithDonnie  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, I didn’t have surgery. The break wasn’t aligned perfectly so it’s a bit out of line, but healed up well. I had a large knot where the break was but that went away after about a year. You wouldn’t notice it now unless I pointed it out.

    • @gsxrstyle
      @gsxrstyle 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@DirtBikingwithDonnie oh wow oh that's so good to know because the way mine healed I have a huge bulging knot and where it broke it's more near the end where my shoulder is and .I have sharp parts that kinda dig into where my rotator cuff is when you cross my arm to the other side .I just basically wanted to know if my body would break down the shape parts and that ugly knot bulging out lol
