Tempo is that fragrance I own where even though I don’t wear it every day, I still take the cap off and smell the bottle. One of the best purchases of my career.
Seems to me every scent created by the late Mr. Olivier Pescheux (RIP) , are AMAZING, the best fragrance so nuanced .... true masterpieces, imo. So sad he is no longer with us here, such a talented creator... X
He certainly was a great perfumer. There are a few in the latest boutique collection releases as well. He must’ve worked on those just before he passed away.
Thank you for sharing your love of fragrance and for yet another wonderfully informative and enthusiastic video. I am a super fan of the house of Diptyque. Some of my favorites that I am using on rotation are Eau de Sens, Orpheon, Eau Capital, Do Son, Tam Dao, Philosykos, Fleur de Peau along with their candles, soap and body cream. I find their scents gorgeous, elegant, modern and fresh. Diptyque;s masterful use of artistic influences not only in their scents but in their packaging is a major draw. I receive so many compliments and even have a few stalkers especially when wearing Orpheon. 😂
I love Tempo and was happy to see it as your No. 1. I would have to think long and hard to rate my favorite Diptyque scents, but Tempo, Eau de Sens, Fleur de Peau and Oud Palao are my top five although I own 11 Diptyque perfumes.
diptyque is one of my favorites! i’m surprised the house isn’t as loved in the fragrance community 😢 my loves are eau duelle edt, tam dao edp, and tempo 🧡
I love Orphean. I don’t get the baby powder smell...are you talking about the Johnson amd Johnson baby powder? I don’t get any of that from my Orphean . My fav from Dyptique is Eau Rose and the Vertiver one. The woman who runs the Dyptique store in my neighborhood is awesome and for that reason alone I am a huge fan of the brand. Thanks for the review!
Just sampled Fleur de Peau and it’s a gorgeous fragrance. For me Oud Palao is still my favorite from diptyque, though I haven’t sampled nearly enough from this house.
Great list. Thanks. I love everything Diptyque. Started with candles and moved on to fragrance. Their face and body preperations are fantastic as well. Now I'm considering Fleur de Peau based on your description.
34 Boulevard Saint Germain and Eau Capitale are my favourite perfumes. I can't get enough of the Amber candle which is done to perfection. I use to live in Canada and never heard of Diptyque until I moved to London. Now, it is one of my favourite brands. Love your videos and look forward to seeing more in the future.
I loooove Dyptique, and I love Olivier Pescheux. Smelled this the other day and I'm very excited to grab a bottle! I also love Divine Vanille, which Pescheux created for Essential Parfums. So nice.
Out of the Diptyque fragrances that I've tried/purchased, it's not that I dislike the the way that they smell, it's more of the fact that the projection/performance is generally trash with their fragrances, even with the EDPs.
9/10 the projection isn’t the problem it’s that you arent spraying enough. Unless it’s a strong musk or oud fragrance you generally need to spray a lot of any fragrance to get good projection
@@williamhasty3964When wearing a short sleeved shirt, one spray on the back of each hand, one spray on the inside of each forearm, one spray on the back of my neck, and one on the front, totaling 6 sprays. With most other EDPs in my collection, that's more than enough. With Tam Dao, for example, it's strong in the beginning, but my wife says that she can barely smell it after 4.5-5.5 hours.
@@jblackmel lol only 6? That’s what some call “Sissy spraying”. You gotta adjust based on the nature of the fragrance just like with anything on earth. You don’t drive a sedan through a muddy backwoods area, you drive a 4 wheel drive truck. Diptyques are not a 4 wheel drive truck. I never spray less than 10 on any or my fragrances unless it’s an oud fragrance. Any less than that no ones gonna smell me except me.
I have many Diptique fragrances and I think I gonna get that because I love powdery note (yummmmy) I was living in Paris I knew it Orpheon is at Boulevar Henri IV crossing the Seine Boulevar Saint Germain change name! Very nice place to go around! I will get the fragrance for sure!!!! Best regards Seb!!!
You need to rank Orpheum higher. It's deceptively lasting, and it has a woody fresh scent. It's powedery, and you have to reconsider this one Sebastián into your top 3 from Diptyque.
I bought it after 2 were not in sacks in Miami. I really like it, It doesn't come off powdery on me, at least in the Miami climate. I get kind of exactly what you said first, fresh but warmer then a freshie. To you like tobacco manderin by byredo? That was one I wanted but wasn't in stock. The other was morning chess
Fleur de Peau is close to my heart, such an amazing scent BUT I would say Opheon reminds me of FdP but with a heavier smokier punch to it. Amazing. Stronger with the juniper berries, dry down to a deep Smokey baby powder. Old school 1920s vibe. Feminine leaning. Fleur de Peau is all seasons, Opheon to my nose is more autumn/winter. In love!
Just yesterday went to Diptyque store in Bal Harbor Florida and tried Orpheon. It’s pretty good with a just great dry down. To me its powdery but not overly. My favorite is Eau de Minthe!
my girlfriend worked at diptyque back in 2016. i would get all the samples and price reduction on all the scents. i still have a few bottles. i only want to use diptyque now. i got a musky bottle, a mint, and fig tree scent which i like alot.
Diptyque has become my favorite house - I've purchased 8 in the last 6 months. So many more to explore! Not sure if I'll be getting Orpheon as baby powder does not sound appealing to me. My favorites so far are L'Ombre Dans L'eau, Volutes, L'Eau Trois and Tam Dao. Thank you for featuring Diptyque on your channel.
Diptyque is my favorite fragrance brand. Not of huge fan when they add powdery notes, but they have some great fragrances. Thanks for sharing this video!
Tempo is a survivor, it's always good and will stay a favorite forever. Curious for Orpheon, but I guess it will be a bit on the light side for my taste.
I tried Orpheon from a generous Diptyque sample and had a hard time smelling anything at all. I had a similar experience with Vetyverio several years ago (both concentrations). All other Diptyques perform very well on me. Eau des Sens has a soapy aspect that is quite wonderful so I ended up getting it in bar soap in addition to the fragrance. Boy, does my bathroom smell fantastic because of the soap. I recently fell in love with Kimonanthe so thanks for the heads up on its discontinuation. On another note, the Diptyque store manger said they are expanding their home decor products soon. I can't wait to get some Diptyque wallpaper for my closet. Diptyque, Chanel, and Serge Lutens are my favorite brands.
Hi sebastian! I received Tempo recently as a sample with another fragrence i ordered and i wasn’t aware of the hype or the fact that it is a stunner, i should say the amazing opening caught me off guard and i started searching for info about the fragrence, the only sad thing i got surprised by the quick dry down as i was reading the reviews, on me the clash between the sour Mate note and the sweet patchouli turns my stomach upside down, even worse is that the dry down begins very quick after spraying it, i wish the two notes were successive instead of overlapping, anyway thanks for the heads up and i will make sure to test Benjoin first :)
Love 34 Boulevard Saint Germain EDP (unfortunately it’s the only one I love from Diptyque). I also really want to try Benjoin Bohéme but it’s hard to find sample of it or I have to blind buy it. I always love benzoin note and I heard many good things about it but its note profile also seems like very linear. So I still struggle if I should blind buy it.
My go to scent is Petit Matin Maison Francis Kurkdjian.. I've been wanting to try this but live very far away from a city/town so can't go a sample.. looking for opinions on whether I might like this one??? Worth the blind buy???
Love This House. My first purchase was fleur de peau. Tempo and 34 EDP are on my wish list. Thank you for the heads up on the other fragrances that will be discontinued. Great content as always!

Just discovered Dyptique this year and loving this house. Favourite Tam Dao
I got a sample of this and was impressed. A sweet powdery floral in the opening with a woody drydown. Very old school type of fragrance.
