Paris in the early 60s. The Saint-Germain quarter was alive with the rhythm of all-night sessions in jazz clubs and artistic encounters. People would discuss the world, dance and laugh in a warm atmosphere as vibrant as it was elegant ... Orphéon was one of the bars, filled with joyful effervescence, where the three founders of the nearby diptyque boutique liked to meet. Today, paying tribute to this era and to creative friendships, the bar is immortalised in the olfactory portrait that bears its name: Orphéon. Freeze frame: curls of tobacco smoke mingle with powdery trails of blusher, lingering on burnished wood. At the heart of the composition is the atmosphere of that unforgettable place, recognisable through the warmth of the tonka bean, the depth of cedar and the vivacity of juniper berries.

Orpheon is my new favorite this summer. I am a year late but i was not aware of this release during the pandemic. I agree 100% and you were so thorough with your review. From my collection, it slightly reminds me of my favorite from frederic malle: musc ravageur. While Orpheon sits close to the skin, no spices, the powderiness or musk reminds me of musc rav. It’s a lighter, summer wear, powdery floral musc rav version.

I tried out this fragrance today in Amsterdam and i must say that your colorful and enthusiastic description perfectly fits my experience. It was presented to me because i have a preference for fresh, herbals smells. And fresh it is, but in a very exquisite way. The jasmin and ceder give it a harmonious balance. I did not buy it because i decided for Chanel Allure Homme (edition blanche), but you have inspired me to go back to that store soon, and also buy it!

Very difficult to explain it but I totally get a fabric softener/Washing machine detergent vibe.A expensive one haha.I mean that in the best way possible too.So nice!Shoot after watching this, I might have to make this my SOTD today.Just got out the shower too.I’ll spray it to the forearms and wrist.Then do a little Jo Malone blackberry & Bay as well to the front and back of the neck for a little 🍒 on top :) Love as always family.Bless up/Peace

My good positive time fragrance is Escentric Molecules Escentric 04, it’s bright and cheery but still complex. I’m very intrigued by this and hunting down a sample.

I didn’t wear anything today 😱… but I just spent 20 minutes smelling SEVERAL from the house and did a skin test with Orphéon . So my SOTD is Orphéon😁. Nicole even made me a sample so I’ll do a FULL wear tomorrow. It’s so fresh and clean smelling. Side bar: I quite enjoy reapplying fragrance mid day. It gives me a boost. Nice review (accurate)

I’m soooo late to the party! I tried Diptyque years ago, but the scent was too green. Needless to say I recently decided to give the brand another try and I’m soooo happy I did. My hubby just purchased this beauty for Valentine’s Day and it is so lovely! Thanks Tiff for such a lovely review! ❤

SOTD is Synthetic Jungle by Frederic Malle. Just got my bottle yesterday in the mail. I remember liking Orpheon a lot but never ended up picking up a bottle for some reason.

It smelled on me so fresh, woodsy , spicy and kind of very unique and mysterious. I have never smelled something like it before. This is the most unique perfume I have ever smelled. I don’t know why people say it is powdery or white floral .

Great review. Buy a travel atomizer and decant into the atomizer yourself. I do this with my fragrances so I dont have to lug full bottles around and risk breaking them.

Hi! What do you think about dyptique fleur de peau? How is it compare to orpheon?
Hi love! Orpheon has this like ultra-fresh out-of-shower scent with the slight warmth of the tonka bean while the fleur de peau is a musky, floral scent
I purchased it lately. It smells masculine on me but I got compliments from both females and males.
Love it! 🤩💗
Tempo is lovely too, it’s more like the non floral version of Orpheon. I am in the dilemma which one to get for myself 😩
