      @@WolfHreda I was disappointed to hear a player who I faced in the Profit event said he was giving up on playing with the MRC because he got wrecked lol. Tbf I did beat him without losing a single unit, which is kind of crushing. I also helped him put together his list...so I felt extra bad lol. Still, I would like people to take losing as a learning experience.
      I am someone who definitely gets tilted when losing so I know it's hard to keep a cool head sometimes. But the community is here, lots of people ready to give tips, play games and help everyone improve! Sometimes dice are a thing as well lol. That's the worst.

      I recommend going with efficiency in firepower. I avoid mechs that have weapons I will rarely use. this alone will improve your performance
      Examples of great bv mechs:
      Stock panther.

    Mobility is a little overcosted in bv, duplicate range bracket weapons over the heat threshhold is overcosted, clan LPL are undercosted. I'm hoping BV three addressing these things with soft tweaks.

      @@johntrotter7372 Agreed on LPLs, but I actually think mobility is under costed. It's incredibly valuable to have high TMM, and jump jets make the game kinda easy mode. Being good at ground movement is much harder than just being able to jump everywhere.

    My favorite is ALWAYS taking green Chaparrals because their gunnery skill is pretty much irrelevant after turn 2 when you should have TAG in range by then and be firing guided by then ........ for the first 2 volleys you can still miraculously get it on target on a 12 and do you really want your shots landing probably in an empty hex ? Hell no you want that random scatter

      oh baby. Ya guided artillery is usually banned because of this fact lol. It's way too strong.

      They are ridiculously cheap... I have experience with swarming with Centipede Scout Cars and Kruger Combat Cars, and both are very fun as well.

      @@willydstyle Oh thats a good question. Depends on the event but usually in the MRC community we use a few. Flamers dealing damage+heat, tac ops taking damage, and initiative streak compensation are pretty typical in most games.

      @@willydstyle ahhh yes true. I think if people are using ECM u need to have ECCM in place as well. Otherwise your artemis and other stuff is useless with 1 ECM on the field

I am mostly annoyed that there's some TacOps stuff that honestly should be in the base game, and some TacOps stuff that I never want to touch with a 10 foot pole, but they're all in the "optional" rules bucket so if you're playing someone new sometimes both players have different expectations of what's allowed.

      ​@@TheManyVoicesVA I agree with this completely. In all my experience, looking at that long range bracket is kinda a trap. Realistic to-hits at long range in tournament setting games are usually 10+ in the best circumstances, often 11+ when you dedicate to maxing TMM and terrain cover. Real damage doesn't start until units start coming into thier medium range brackets. This is part of why, imo, the snub-nose PPC is one of the best "main guns" available to inner sphere.
      Then of course is the clan large pulse, which you can think of as being a regular gun with 20 hexes as it's medium range. That thing is nuts.
