It may not be as exciting as watching u bring in 10+ wahoo in one day...but it is a glimpse into the keys that alot of people over look. Also...those kids are gonna be so fired up when they see this episode! lol Thats so awesome.

Im a new boater as well with a gheenoe, definitely know your area and the depth your in if you you’re flats fishing, also take a few hours out of the day and practice docking your boat and backing in the trailer, other than that have fun!
Used to skip school when I was 16-17. Go Cuda fishing at Lugo Point. Made my own tube lures, if I came home with somethin to put on the grill or a good fish story my mom was OK with it. Usually learn more fishin in one morning than a half-day at school. Grilled Cuda is amazing. Dolphin are beautiful! Nice video, Thanks

When fishing Muskies, if they follow the lure to the boat but don't bite , you leave some line out and swim it (the lure) with rod in a figure eight and that will get em all hyped and usually a hit. I know fresh water salt water but if you think about it they're kinda the same type of fish. 🤔
what a lovely trip. thanks. bigger bara i catch are pearly and beautiful looking when cooked. v special. my favorite in tom kha barra. yes in thailand. great fighters for about 20 seconds. then they play dead until you go to take the hook out. and then you realize, the fight isn't yet decided when you find a massive hook going into the deepest part of your thumb. so its your thumb on one hook, and a 15-20 pound barra fighting for his life on the other. yeah, wear a glove. this happened to me fishing alone in phang nga bay. i went to four hospitals trying to get the hook out and in the end an indian doctor took it out. backwards - which is NOT the way to take a hook out of a thumb btw. always tell the doctor to cut the hook and push her through.
What a beautiful day. It would of made a great diving day but still nice to see you catch and cook. next time fry the Barracuda in lite flour, cooking oil with lemon pepper, crushed red pepper and lime or lemon juice and you will eat Barracuda a few times a week! In the Bahamas we eat them about three sizes bigger than you caught steaked and deep fried golden brown and they are wonderful with jasmine rive and veggies or simple fries. Deep fry it once and see the flavor! Key West reminds me of the Islands of The Bahamas my home.
Beast Barracuda I ate, slashed on both sides, oiled, sprinkled heavily with a sea salt and dried oregano mix and grilled while squeezing lemon and adding salt/oregano mix. Oh yes.

I missing Dolphins play on the bow lol of the boat when we were diving for urchins on the West Coast now we had a really bad red tide with phosphorus luminescence in it and it look like a laser light show with the porpoise playing
Awesome channel!! Great tip on grill fish with skin on. Helps on clean up and from having the fish meat falling threw the grill. I might just have to bust out an old Rattle Trap and grill me some Cudas. Thanks for posting.

Great video brother! I was on Lido Key kayaking the mangroves on 6/15/22 and came up on some juvenile cudas. They were waiting for spider crabs to drop. Then it was game on! Keep up the good work!
I catch that size cuda in the mangrove river I live on here in Fiji. Two best lures are the chartreuse BaDonk a Donk for topwater and a little Rapala In brown trout for divers. Both barracuda and mangroves (Damu here) love em both! Good stuff here….love your boat btw.

Man from Florida been stationed in the coast guard in Miami best friend was in key west dad was a commercial guy out of key west and never had barracuda because the stigma behind the mercury looks good hopefully i can get home soon 🤙🏻
Most Americans don’t eat Cuda so I was surprised when I see the title of your video. I was born in Cuba so I’ve been eating barracuda since I was a child!, good quality meat!, I still have some from my spearfishing trip a couple of weeks ago!

its a great trick and helps from over cooking as well! used to do it with red fish all the time in the mosquito lagoon!

You can also do a spinal on them. It is where you run a clothes hanger down the spine to stop rigor mortis to increase meat quality.
I've never noticed a huge difference with it to be honest. and its time consuming. maybe will have to try it again!
