The extra Enterprise and 1701 decals are because of the 1, 7 and R style on the Pilot versions.

Thank you for the information in all your videos. If I could suggest something, at least that's what I intend to do.
Actually it is quite easy to build at least two versions. Since there are two versions of components for the saucer and neck sections, so it would almost be enough to buy the saucer parts.
This is available as a smooth version from Polar lights.
It would then be possible to exchange this accordingly. Of course you don't have a complete second model, but you can vary.

Apologies for the earlier comment. I missed the lighting kit reference at the beginning.

Um the original release had the pilot parts included as well. The difference in the 1701 kit and the regular at the time was just box art. If you bought the original release in store or online when it was first released it was exactly like this except the box. I know because I have 3 sitting in front of me plus 2 1701 kits.

Great video.thanks for showing this in such detail.I like the art work especially how the first pilot version is shown without any lighting-the same as the 11 foot miniature.no lighting in first pilot and cool that polar lights went as far to depict that in the art!🖖😀😀

Is it heresy that I wanna Frankenstein an Enterprise from all all 3 versions?

    • @TrentonBennett
      @TrentonBennett 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Why not? For me if I did that I'd do the pilot bridge, the production B/C deck, the production deflector dish, the pilot bussard collectors and maybe the second pilot nacelle end caps. Oh forgot the impulse deck...probably the pilot version.

I am totally new here. Getting back into modeling after a long hiatus. I have built several Enterprise models over the years. My question is, "Is there a light kit that can be used on this model? Other videos say that the light kit for the other 1:350 Enterprise kit CANNOT be used. Any help would be appreciated.

Does anyone know if the brighter decals in this kit is more or less accurate for a production version than the darker ones on the 50th anniversary Edition kit?
I have the 50th anniversary Edition kit with the lighting kit, but haven't built it yet; I am wanting to hone my skills a bit more first. But I may pick up this kit too and build a Pilot version with no lights and hang it from the ceiling first. That way I will have a pilot version hanging from the ceiling and later a lighted production version on a stand. But if I do this I might swap some of the decals and save the brighter ones for the production version I'll do later with lights; if the brighter decals look better or are more accurate.
I would love to see this channel build one of the pilot versions without lights and see a side by side comparison with the production version once they complete that one too.

Hi I'm a little confused at 14:00 you show the Enterprise stating its unpainted but the end caps of the nacelles are dark grey and the buzzards Amber etc
Did you forget to mention you painted these?
I'm new to model building so please forgive my ignorance 🙏
Will this ship need painting at all?
    Thanks

"Supplement and Pilot Parts" are different Pilot Parts are as common as dirt, "Supplement parts pack" is the rarer of the two

I have a brand new spray brush that needs a good project to Christian it.
Historically accurate or what I think it should be? Decisions, decisions.

Wasn't there a version of the impulse engines that had a different pattern on it? I think it might have been the 2nd pilot version.

Round 2 sells it directly. Or you can go to a local hobby shop. There's also online shops like CultTVMan who's reputable.
