It took me until watching this to realize that Thracia was the first FE game to have Rescuing, a Con stat, Fog of War, or even having multiple different objectives on different maps throughout the game (every previous game only had a single objective for the entire game).
Don’t play this game. The amount of stress this game caused me led to multiple hospital visits, my wife divorcing me and taking the kids, and the crippling fear of never being able to finish it. If you like pain and suffering, however, this is the game for you.

I think that “every character needs to escape or else they get captured” is a great mechanic. Especially in chapter 24x where a character can get warped into a inescapable room if you didn’t bring a resue staff. However they should have made so that the game checks if the enemy is routed or not. Have to skip 10 turns because my general is still om the other side of map is just annoying and tedious.

I’m waiting until I finish up some of the other fe games I’ve already started before yeeting myself into fe4+5, but this video was helpful as hell, some of this stuff I straight up didn’t know. I’m excited to play them *eventually*. Also shoutout to the art style for FE4/5 character art I really love it lol
Well, that came out pretty well. Translation could have used some proofreading though. A few goofs I caught in the mechanics section: - It's Constitution, not Build - Inconsistent use of "action" and "move(ment)" in the action/mvt stars section. Action stars is the literal translation, movement stars is the common fan name. - "the movement section of their stat window" is ambiguous (Mov isn't action/movement stars) - It's Fog of War, not "Search for the enemy" - I think it's "weapon types", not "weapon classes" in English.
All of these were certainly considered prior to making the video. I'm using the terminology used in the game and the video. Terms coined by later games or by fan translations don't apply here since my goal is documentation rather than a supplemental game manual/guide for english players. If the text says "Build" in on the screen I wouldn't call it something else for the sake of consistency with a single fan translation.
Travant was fighting the Manster army before the Grannvale empire invaded North Thracia and put Blume in charge. He knows he can't win so he makes a flimsy alliance with the empire and Southern Thracia is the only country in Jugdral that's not under occupation.
The japanese characters that look like chinese characters all have the same meaning in their name like 体格 (ti ge) in chinese means build like how 身体 (shen ti) means body in chinese. The more you know
