@wolfcub0545 here's a way to just circumvent that downside. Take controlled magnetic flow (or don't) and shoot a platform stack full of holes from the top down. You can now stack as much damage as you want
@@1thumbs-upmountain138 That's still not particularly reliable, lol. It's cool that it's possible, but you're never going to have time to set that up and enemies to use it on outside of elimination missions
an easy trick I've heard about is having an engi make a pancake stack and then go on top and Swiss cheese it to make multiple 'surfaces' for really high damage stacks
Also for triple tech I always bring the cone damage for that +20 damage for each shot, even to the half shots. (pretty sure the cone damage doesn't get halved, so it should add a consistent 60)
mole is one of my favorite overclocks because theres no cap to the amount of damage you can deal. ive had really lucky shots on a handful of occasions that one-shot oppressors, its such a good feeling. one important distinction between the two is mole is more ammo efficient, since the extra shots from triple tech each cost half a full charge.
If you're shooting through one surface only, you're underusing the overclock.
I agree, but it's the most common way to use the overclock. One surface is reliable, two surfaces are doable, and any more is unreliable.

It’s also worth noting that mole is less useful on mission types with open caves, like Aquarqs or salvage
Step 1 walls
Step 2 shoot walls
Step 3 im in the walls
step 4 im burning ghoulbuster's walls

I use triple tech cuz I don't like to walk backwards towards a wall and beg it's thick enough.
I mean, Mole works regardless of the thickness of the wall. Doesn't matter if it's paper thin, if it's a wall, it works.
