    Hoping this helps - let me know if these methods do not work for your model/year!

      Struggling to figure out 'the knack' for 2013 Forester. No luck so far.

    Dude thank you for doing the process correct by completely buckling and unbuckling the seatbelt. It worked! I watched several others where they would hold the red seatbelt button down to make it faster and it was not working. Thank you 👏🏻

    I watched several of these videos and had no luck with my 2021 Outback push-button start. Finally, THIS is what worked: 1. Have car off. 2. Turn on "super accessory" mode by pushing start button twice without foot on brake. Everything on the dash will turn on. 3. Quickly, engage and disengage the seatbelt 24 (twenty-FOUR!) times, ending with the seatbelt off. I did not do the quick in-and-out holding the seatbelt latch in, but actually went through the locking step each insertion. 4. Quickly turn the car totally off by pressing the start button. 5. Turn the car on as per usual without wearing the seatbelt. The alarm will sound a few times, but the seat-belt light will not come on, and you can now drive without a seatbelt/alarm driving you nuts. I plan on using this when I launch my boat and jump in and out of the car many times to do so.

      @@davechangauto Looks like you need some new seats, hopefully you can get some decent ones at a salvage yard or someone parting one out.

    The 20 times thing didn't work, tried several times on a 2008 forested, ended up disconnecting the cable and it worked. Thanks!

    Just watch out for the complete yellow one though, anything yellow cabling are airbags related.

    Does anyone know if Method 2 has anything at all to do with the airbag? I ask because unfortunately Method 1 will just not work on a 2013 Forester, I've been trying for a while now!

      It does on the passenger side, but not on the driver's side.

      Unfortunately the phone mount that I am using looks to be discontinued - I got it from Walmart but it's super cheap and currently held together by JB weld! I'll most likely be picking up a better/sturdier one soon.

    Make a video installing double din multimedia on the forester. It would be pretty helpful(for me too)😁. P.s. I have exactly the same colour and year forester but mine has an STI bumper on it.

    • @davechangauto
      @davechangauto  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Ah I really wish I had that STI/Sports bumper too!
      At the moment, I was aiming to keep the interior of the XT as stock/OEM as possible but I have been considering switching to a 7-inch Sony device - definitely a mod in the future!

      @ivanovgeorgi9432 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@davechangauto Great choice. I am installing a Chinese one. But there is one little problem. The 7inch can’t fit as good as the radio and you have to cut a little bit of the panel

    Do you have the beeping when the key is in the ignition (off/acc) and the driver's door is open? Any chance you know how to disable this?

    Damn your chime goes off when turning on the key? Ours only starts beeping if you drive faster than I think around 15mph or sth
    Edit: oooh but you can electrically change your seat's position :0

      Haha, it's interesting to hear how different the euro-spec and NA-specs are!
      I guess the big take away is that Americans don't use seat belts and are too lazy to manually adjust seats
