In the original arcade system board, this track and the final boss theme "Erupter" are not pre-recorded, but programmed to raise a halftone every loop. So if you play them in sound test mode for half an hour, the sound will eventually break due to the tone being raised too high. If you leave it like that for another 30-40 minutes, the track will eventually loop back to the beginning and return to normal.
