Guard dog is actually pretty good on dedicated tank builds since it reduces incoming damage by 15% instead of adding 15% DR to your character. One of the only ways outside of bloodbond or song of Eafir to reduce damage past the 80% DR cap. With all of that stacked on a max DR handler/summoner if my math is right is (20%*.85*.9*.9) = 13.8% damage taken, plus you have the prime perk to self rez if you do manage to go down.
@@Un_Important Oh wow I can’t believe I never noticed that it was separate from additive DR. That certainly does make it far better than I gave it credit for. Thank you for bringing this up!
Something cool about Attack Dog is that it buffs boths summons and yourself, double dipping for summon damage. The Engineer turret and Summoner minions can actually kinda put out with Attack Dog. Spirit of the Wolf is also the single best team perk in the game imo. Even when solo it is so so good.
For your (maybe eventual) Explorer archetype overview, I'd recommend running Chef Medal! It's a very nice method to keep up the archetype's weird damage perk. I've had a lot of success with an Archon/Explorer setup utilizing Ford's Scattergun slotted with Astral Burst and Pressure Point. Makes Scattergun play a bit like Remnant 1's Breath of the Desert. God, I miss instant cast mods so much.
Great video as usual dude! Love these apocalypse tested videos. The effort you put into them clearly shows. Looking forward to your upcoming content on the next DLC 😁
Also... EnHa goes REALLY hard. Damage perk synergy is perfect, plus you get natural toughness from the armor trait. Heavy carry benefits from basically whatever you want your doggo to do - fat stack of damage, fat stack of movement speed, less fat but still decent chunk of DR? No problem either way, you have the vast majority of a heavy carry build ready to go with minimal optimization left to do. It's the comfy, low-micromanagement counterpart of EnSu and it means you can go crazy with explosives on top of that. Only downside is that the Roughneck archetype name doesn't adequately convey how your actual gameplay ends up becoming running around at crack-fueled speed with a railgun.
The jack of all trades and, unlike Challenger, master of basically none sadly. It's difficult to find a build in Handler that isn't noticeably better in another archetype. I think the only build it really shines in is Bow builds where HUGS goes overkill on the charge shots.
What sells it for me is the movement speed u can get from this class, with only the passive skill and support dog, the +35% is enough to run away from attacks without having to dodge, and considering u can give the speed to your teammates, it kinda makes the game easy mode for me
The pc version has a console command enabler mod which is super helpful. Spawning in NPC’s is as simple as getting their file directory in R2’s paks and using the “summon” command. It works for items too!
Haha I use console commands to teleport up there occasionally. I’ve looked around with free cam a lot and there’s nothing too special around the upper parts of the ward. Maybe I’ll make a video one day of cool out of bounds stuff.

Guess I'll try a heavy bulwark dog build. Very cool. Or a warden dog build with shield shenanigans!
Root Hollows? Sir, those are called Meatballs.
You can have a doge always by you side in this world that almost everything are trying to kill you, sorry pal this is a solid S+ for me.
So true lol

Can confirm, the very good boi is, in fact, very good.
I love when an Archetype is Apocalypse ready.

The Handler carried me in my Hardcore run. Indeed, a very good boi
They should give the dog a harness mounted machine gun that he activates by biting and holding a trigger apparatus....that way he has a ranged option!

Of course the dog is Apupalypse ready.

"sluggish friend in Leto's" Hold up... Leto's is the fastest armor in the game! How else are you going to get that Weightless Weight stack?

@@WryHarpy There are white boxes everywhere on the map, maybe you will find a new perfect one to make your videos.
