I was fortunate to come across your channels recently. I have now spent many hours with you.... I want to thank you, I appreciate all of your videos. Your detail in your learning and then sharing with all of us. I have absolutely learned a lot and I thank you for that. I look forward to seeing the rest that you have posted. 💗
That receipt really cracked me up - it seems typical to another reseller but almost funny to anybody outside the business. "Hey honey, what did you buy? " "Oh, just a leather coat, medals with crosses, and some airplane parts"...lol
Antique carved printing blocks; We only get half the money in the UK that you get in the US. But half the money is good money over here. And looking at the sold listings, I see that an actual figure is worth much more than just a pattern. A video on Printing Blocks would be useful because wherever I go sourcing, there is always a box of them. Best wishes.
Ok, a box of printing blocks? I would absolutely love that! I have 4 carved ones, and I use them to print on paper rather than fabric, but I do love them, and buy whenever I see one. I do love the little one he found.
I really enjoy doing research on cool old stuff and that L-O-F invoice board struck my interest. So I looked it up. Libbey-Owens merged with the Edward Ford plant (no relation that I know of to Henry) to keep up with the demands of producing the Model-A windshields. This happened in 1930, so it's at least more recent than 1930. Edit: Oh, and their glass was used to seal the declaration of independence in 1951!
Hi Don, Will you talk more about vintage postcards and how to price them please? Also, I saw a video about “banned postcards” on eBay but I cannot trust everybody. Are there banned postcards?
Enjoyed the video. Very educational in what to look for in those type of jackets! Maybe one day you can do a video on how you revive and recondition a jacket such as what you purchased!
Nice score had a nice hit with1.5 lbs of sterling this past week with mangas from japan galore with nice 1st pressing metal i picked up bunch sealed patches from korea nam era did well with them had photos of his bombing run he was a LT in WW2 storage unit love the look of old leather get some saphir jojoba to condition it
You have the luck of the Irish to pick all that stuff up for the money you paid for them. Those engines, I would have snapped their hands off to get them for their prices. You should take the things out of the bags before you do the videos, it's always a struggle to video and open bags one-handed at the same time. Love the phones in the background at 16:35 on the shelves. Thank you, Don. Charles in the UK
14:44 One thing you left out here : with vintage clothes : SIZE MATTERS ! Large and Extra Large always moves faster and sells for more money than Medium (which looks like your size & your jackets size?) . Small ? Forget about buying smaller vintage clothes (unless it's a vintage Led Zeppelin shirt or something ICONIC) . Also: I'd LEAVE the color alone and not DYE it . Someone may think the "discolored look" is cool and unique ? Not sure . However AMAZING SCORE , however the size will greatly SLOW down the sale and will having you "send offers" out on eBay . I have had COOL vintage MENS and WOMANS clothes over the past 25 years ; but when the size in not larger - you gotta BEG them you buy it .
P.S. At one time I had a STACK of vintage 1970s Rock concert shirts - ALL Med. / Small . A Rolling Stones jersey from Tattoo You only got me $75.00 because of the smaller size. I would have doubled my money if it was XL. A vintage head shop Led Zeppelin shirt went for $40.00 because it was small. and it was from 1977 or earlier . I should have just KEPT it and used it to make a throw pillow.

A testament to always be ready for anything!
Not that you don't have enough ideas for future videos to make but going over your 50 vintage or so leather jackets would be a really cool video!
Wow professor, you could open up your own museum! That jacket would look amazing restored with all the bells and whistles ✨
