As a Texan, these 2 going back and forth with their very British accents and mannerisms is the most polite sounding game of 40k ive ever seen

Holy hell that was an ending and a half right there, a skin-of-the teeth duel to decide the entire battle, had me on the edge of my seat
I'm 30 seconds in and already blown away by the Votann. TT have clearly mastered the cloning process and have a horde of Fletchers locked in a dungeon somewhere.
Outstanding game, gentlemen! I love how genuinely excited you get for the cool moments in the game, even when it involves your opponent killing your models at critical times. Feels like we’re hanging out with friends watching these games. You guys are awesome. And the paint jobs are incredible. Love you guys!

I love that we call the camera person "Servo-skull" because all the way through this video I could almost see this little servo floating around The Chef's head , suddenly screaming, "USE THE CP! CP IT!" like some kind of annoying companion in a Disney movie.

This game feels like the games I've had against the League of Votann. They're not unbeatable by any means, but man can they be unfun to play against. It's just a constant barrage of "Of course you ignore that rule." or "Of course you can do that." Very fun battle report as usual!

Lawrence 'advising' Chef on rerolls was brilliant. Loved those curious beasts of Nurgle, just living their best lives. This game was much closer then I expected in the first bit. Kuddo's for the Dark Master Mike for swiping the game in the end!

Youve re-inspired me to try Tempest of War again after a few lopsided draw games. That Landfortress was just ridiculous but i understand it was buffed by a character and strats were invested in its survival. The trend since Hammer of the Emperor and Votaan coming out of bypassing the toughness stat with army-wide rules on Gunline hordes feels bad. Id love to know the maths behind it and why they felt it was the best direction to go in.
But this battle was fantastic :) well done.

Great episode and stunning armies. I know this won’t help Chef’s hatred of the Votann but… Bard could’ve also dished out full re-rolls to hit to one unit within 6 every round with the High Kahl ability.

And the Hearthguard have d6 grenade launcher shots each that they didn't fire after coming out the Hekaton. Not sure if it's remembered later as not got there yet
@@thepastrychef8014 You also forgot that as soon as the Rail gun succesfully wounds, then you take 3 MW, as I understand it that is seperate to the Saving throw...

and lo, for the Kin of Ymyr were reminded of the terror of Daemons, for even the most ridiculous and unwieldy can slay their champions, lay low their artifice, and nom on their leaders before spitting them back up, dissatisfied with the lack of durability. whilst the Bloodthirster Forgorthak the Carnage Wind and the Keeper Bhamomot the Life Drinker never did recover their pride, Slobbles the Beast of Nurgle performed outstandingly in the name of the Plague Father, even if he's not totally aware of the ramifications of his new chew toy that tried poking him in the eyes.

Tremendous painting, great table, fun players, and cool to see games played with more of the Votann range.
One wee note on pronunciation, in case anyone is interested. 'Hearth' is pronounced 'Harth', like 'heart' and not 'heard'. It's the word that 'Hearthkyn' and 'Hearthguard' come from, and I think they are supposed to be pronounced in the same manner. Naturally, Chef, you'll pronounce it as you like!

The fortress 4+ invun and heals 4 wounds per turn 😆 feels like a fun game. Imagine I'd this was a game against a faction that cares about ap or ignore invuns

I find it hilarious all the rage when they are really not even that broken anymore. Nids are far more lethal and Necrons and sisters both score WILDLY better.
